I NEVER post on facebook, but once I start forging shit I'm going to post a lot
Forging is hard, your first few things will look like shit
Also, chain mail is pretty much the hardest thing to make ever. Don't need to forge it tho, just but some steel wire, wrap it around an appropriately sized dowel, then cut through one side of the wire to make individual links. Prepare to want to cut off your finger tips.
Oh I'm well aware my first few pieces will look like shit. not going to stop me though. also I have some steel wire and an appropriately sized bar to wrap it around, I just need to rig a system to coil it easily

from everything I've seen chainmail isnt necessarily hard to make, just tedious
You can drill a hole through the dowel, stick the wire in, then wrap it
logged into a school pc and found this image

Yeah, thats what I was planning on doing, but my mom in her infinite wisedom sold all of my dads power tools so I have to get a new drill.
Just drill ur mom
I've been reading up about Walt Disney's EPCOT. The original idea, the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. The whole idea of a completely planned city, built around the people, not an urban sprawl like most cities today, is amazing.
Its a shame disnules died when he did, it would have been interesting to see if such a "Perfect" community would have worked.
Interesting film from the 60's about it if you've got some time to watch it:

Almost done re-watching one of my favorite sci-fi series. Where'd all the good sci-fi go on TV? Probably the newest thing I've seen that I liked was BSG, and even that started to fall apart after the second season.
Well, Beaumont, the city HGA is located in was just declared the least educated city in the country by forbes magazine.
At least we're finally number one at something!
Well I have a coffee date with the girl I like tomorrow. Hopefully it goes good, it did last time so I'm not that worried. I just don't know if I should try to make any sort of move yet or not and I'll probably just end up awkwardly asking if we can hold hands if anything.

I've wanted to try forging knives out of railroad spikes or something simple. I have way too many interests and I get distracted but it looks easy enough to get into and at least try cheaply with a tin can forge.

just take thing slow and easy, dont try and rush things. Itll happen when it will happen. She sounds a bit like you, quiet and shy so she will need a bit of time to get used to being around you. its not gonna happen straight away but that doesnt matter because i assume you two are having fun when you hang out.
Are you speaking on the phone / texting a lot? if youre texting regularly, try and get a phone call with her just to ask what shes up to. It shows you care enough to make an effort.
What sucks about going back to the same school for sixth form is you already know all the girls there, and they know you're not their type.
The only girl I'm currently interested in lives all the way on the other side of the world.
But she's coming to America sometime next year so here's hoping.

Well she is a lot like me, but I wouldn't exactly call her quiet and shy. She's a little bit socially awkward and is a pretty quirky person, but she does find it easier to talk to people than I do.
And I haven't been texting her much recently because now that we're back in school I get to see her almost every day so I don't see much point.

Dude, next time you meet up, rip her clothes off and delve into her sweet cherry pie.
Trust me dude I've done this a million times.
Don't forget to eat her ass.
I fucking quit girls. She brought up the whole thing about me liking her so I guess I was being pretty obvious about it, and she gave me the "let's just be friends" talk. I understand where she's coming from, she's way too busy to think about dating and relationships and the whole talk about it wasn't awkward at all so we're still friends, but holy fuck this is disappointing. So yeah, I quit girls because like fuck I'm going to meet any others when I'm shy and quiet and socially awkward and not even close to being attractive. I'd like to think I could possibly get her to change her mind, but that's never going to happen and I'd probably just ruin our friendship in the process.
you should try like craigslist or something
or escorts/prostitutes
then u can get ur confidence up!!!

That's fucking stupid. I want a girl to like me for me, not because she feels like she has to. I mean at least this girl said she likes me as a person, but fuck it's just tough to find a girl who sees a potential boyfriend in me and it's pissing me the fuck off how easy it is for everyone else.

2009-2013 Taepo is coming back with a vengeance, I apologize in advance.
You're just not gonna get a girlfriend if you're actively searching, and I don't get why you try. That's not how it works. Actively searching basically guarantees it won't happen. I don't know anyone who has gotten a girlfriend while doing that, and I know a ton who have gotten girlfriends while not trying to, myself included. You've seen pictures of me, I'm sure, and I'm not the most attractive guy, but I always end up with really attractive girls. You just have to not try. Just don't even think of girls in that way until months and months in to the friendship. Although its on your mind seemingly all the time, so I don't know if it'll be easy to stop. You have to try really hard to not try.
I was once given advice by my cocaine taking, car drifting, rifle shooting barber.
"Fuck 'em all."
Thats easy enough to say, but when you're someone like me its a bit difficult.

I don't do anything with my life other than go to school so I'm not going to find a girlfriend without actively searching for one. Sure, I could talk to girls in my classes, but absolutely none of them seem to be open to conversation with anyone other than their little group of friends and it seems like other than that I have to jump through hoops to just merely be in the presence of girls who are actually open to conversation while everyone else just has girls come into their life completely by chance.
And this girl I didn't start thinking about her in that way for a few months. Hell, I didn't even think she was attractive for the first couple months I knew her.

You're also younger than me so it's less pathetic.
I'm the same age as you and I haven't made a good friend in college.

It's the 3rd year.

Eh, it worked for me. It's not about whether you're looking or not, it's about whether you're coming across as desperate or confident. Guys who aren't looking for a relationship tend to be less nervous and more confident and relaxed, and that makes them more attractive. I've got a couple of friends who took the attitude of 'sooner or later someone will come along' and it hasn't worked at all. Being sociable and meeting people takes effort.
I'd like to say I'm going to try to talk to this super cute girl who's in one of my classes tomorrow in order to try to get her off her mind, but we all know what happens when I say I'm going to do that.
