NEXUS 5.
Galaxies are full of bloatware and dumb shit. The Nexus 5 is really neato and it's quick as fuck.
The only thing with the Nexus I'm really paranoid about is every review says the glass is extremely weak. And a broken screen is partially why my S2 is dead so I'm really worried I'll get the Nexus and break it.
Git a big fat cover for it.

Today I had an itch to do something for the MR2 while I wait for my new parts.
It's original color is red, this is how it is when I got it. The previous owner painted it with flat black primer:

What I did today (first base coat, heavy WIP. Going to need a few more coats.):

Shit picture.
This paintjob's total cost is $18, with enough materials for another 10 more coats or more. I have a gallon of the enamel paint - which i'm rolling on with a paint roller.
It looks fantastic in person. It has imperfections, but they will be gone by the time i'm done.
Oh my god I found the most adorable little gun models on Dealextreme.
Is this site legit? I'm seriously considering buying one. Or 5.
DX is great. Cheap chinashit, decent quality. Lol and real suppressors labeled as fakes for low prices.

I have dropped my nexus 5 a dozen times with no damage, the back cover popped off half way but i popped it back in, maybe just wait for the nexus 6 since it comes out in a month or 2 from now

I don't have a phone right now waiting two months isn't really an option
My girlfriend bought her first handgun today. She decided that this model was the one she wanted most, and we shopped around before finding a good one for $400. Tomorrow we're going to break it in at the range.
I like her.

Can you post a detailed breakdown of how you did it here or in the auto forum? My camaro needs paint terribly along the top panels and I'm a bit spooked by the whole process, especially sanding.

The bloatware isn't even that bad, it just sits there and doesn't do anything really. I've never been bothered by it.

just a heads up, if that is a post-war P1 with an aluminum frame, stick to 115gr. ammo. And NEVER run 9mm NATO through it.

Huh, just saw this today after we fired a mixture of 115gr and 124gr from various manufacturers. The pistol is in fact a post-war P1 with French markings, and while we ran into a couple of issues, the only one related to the ammo was crappy Blazer not having enough energy to recock the hammer. Do you have a link to where I can find more info about ammo restrictions? A few Google results are saying 124gr is fine, just not to try +P loads.
Also, wow, this is a fun pistol to shoot. Something about it just feels a lot nicer than the 9mm Glocks and 1911s I've shot. I think it's the weight distribution, it's not as front-heavy as a 1911 but has a bit more heft than a polymer handgun, and it's a real smooth action. If it weren't for the lousy magazine capacity I could totally see myself using one for 'real world' applications.
it's not the end of the world if you run standard pressure 124gr through it, but it puts extra stress on the gun. The aluminum frames are prone to cracking, so since the gun was designed for 115gr ammo it's best to stick to that to prevent damage.
You can run just about anything short of +P through the steel framed P38s, but with the aluminum P1s it's best to air on the side of caution.
I love this video

I understand that, but I can't find any literature suggesting that 124gr ammo is a bad idea for the P1. 9mm Luger was originally chambered by the German military with 124gr bullets, so the 115gr is a more recent development. Surely the P1 would be able to fire the ammo that it was designed for?
Not trying to be pedantic, and I've already suggested she use 115gr American Eagle since it was the best of the ammo we tested and I know is available everywhere, I'm just curious since it seems like a heck of an oversight for the Walther engineers.

Ive definitely heard that running hotter (NATO aka 124gr) loads through them is a really bad idea in the long term for the aluminum slide
I mean its not gonna kaboom but it shortens the life of the parts dramatically
[editline]29th September 2014[/editline]
Its not really a design oversight when you consider that military service pistols aren't really meant to be fired all that much
Ive definitely heard that running hotter (NATO aka 124gr) loads through them is a really bad idea in the long term for aluminum slide
I can definitely believe that, but the pressure rating for 9mm NATO is right in between that of 9mm Luger and +P loads, so it's substantially hotter than common civilian ammo. I've read that European 9mm is and has long been loaded hotter than US-made 9mm, which is why a lot of GIs who brought back captured Lugers had the springs replaced with weaker ones to cycle American ammo reliably, and that the original chambering for 9mm as sourced by the DWM for Luger was a 124gr projectile- so I would wager that most every P1 that was actually issued was supplied with 124gr ammo.
That said, since the P1s were intended for West German police I can totally understand them being designed weak, as they were meant to be used in holsters and periodic qualifications, not Stalingrad. I'm just curious about a little documentation is all.
I'm not saying that you can't shoot 124gr ammo out of it. But the recoil energy of 124gr ammo is almost a whole ft/lb more than 115gr (depending on brand). I'm merely suggesting that sticking with 115gr ammo will lessen the beating that the aluminum frame takes and prolong the life of your pistol.
You are right that the original 9mm round was 124gr, I was mistaken in that; but you will find that the P1s that did see heavy service with the W. German Military or Police (i.e. hundreds or thousands of rounds fired) have cracked or damaged frames. As far as I am aware, that has only been observed in aluminum framed P1s, not steel framed P38s.

Best game all years
I want to break up with my girlfriend but I know she's going to take it like, way too hard.
Fact of the matter is, we have basically nothing in common, and our schedules make it to where we rarely get to see each other.
And the days we do get to see each other, I'd generally rather be doing something else.
So for the simple reason my wife has no credit, the bank didn't give me the loan for the house.
Find it funny i'm about to buy another house that's $26,000 with cash and yet banks seem to think I can't pay bills.

Thats a situation where you just have to do it. If you're not interested, you're not gonna get interested, so its gonna be sooner or later. And generally, sooner would be better. Your time is precious; why waste it any longer than you have to?

I love the subliminal messaging at :55 though
Well, after restarting my kit, I had enough cash left over from all the gear I sold to finally get that Mosin I've been wanting. Just bought an M44 rifle, a 440 round can of ammo, and a leather saddlebag for the hideous Mosin stock.
