They don't have enough jobs available at the time, so they don't need me anymore!
But, I still get fully paid for about two more weeks, including all of the overtime I worked from last pay period(??), so I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

Also, when I left the office, I passed the school I went to study for being this.
Best decision today, because the blasting teacher there asked me if I wanted to do some blackwork for him, as he just bought an old drilling rig that I could drive for him, so he only had to do the blasting bit :v:
I almost got an apprehension last night. He got away though. He tried to walk out with a Gamestop bag full of clothes and I had to run up behind him. I was trying to get him back in the building when he took off on a bicycle. I chased him, but he was going downhill so he won that race.
Than the local PD never showed up.
It was fun though, I've always wanted to chase someone.
I'm watching Bad Grandpa
this is fucking hilarious
For my 18th birthday, I'm going to buy myself an AK and a bunch of ammo. I've already got $560 saved up, but I just came up with a novel idea: I'm going to have $100 in each denomination, ie 100 $1, 50 $2 (if my bank has that many), 20 $5, and so on. Doesn't really affect anything, but I think it's fun.
We had a field dev day at my local airsoft field, same one that I used to play with stupideye at actually. We got some cool stuff done, did a lot of clearing of trails too. Good time overall, especially the food. We also used a GPS to map out the coordinates of our field, I'm working on making a scale map from the data we gathered. Also someone's mom made an awesome cake with the logo of our club on it. It was so good.

For some reason the stuff we built isn't actually in the album, but oh well. Can't wait to play on it next year!

Haha, yeah, Luc sent me a shirt when I first made the design for you guys like years ago.
.. I'd like an edible version of it though.
Quick word of advice to any FP'ers heading to college next year; I actually recommend using your AP credits to skip intro classes which in my case is the math courses.
I took AP Calc AB and got a 3 on the AP test, which equates to 5 credits in Math 124. In order to build a better base, I decided to retake math 124 but am now actually regretting doing that. I have to regress my thinking and my approach to solving problems in order to do it the way we have to learn, and this is making things far more difficult. In addition, the teacher is horrid and makes silly mistakes while teaching all the time and gets irritated when students bring it up. To top it all off, we have 10 minutes in between classes when they're tightly scheduled, and I'm on a huge campus; my previous class is in the south corner and the math class is in the north corner near my dorm. Its nearly a 10 minute walk so I never get a good seat and can barely pay attention in the back row.
Physics however, at the honors level, is 90% review this quarter. Its completely different however, as we go further in depth and I have an awesome professor (with a decent latin american accent it seems, but he dictates clearly and loudly so it has not been a problem as of yet). If any of you saw my snapchat story where he scooted away on that compressed-nitrogen powered wagon you may understand why that class is so interesting (and challenging).
I really can't stand Math classes, none of it is applied. I don't mind Physics, since it can be applied, but christ math is boring to me. Can't wait to start actually A&A classes my Junior year though!

oh also parametrics suck and feel like they have no application, whereas every concept in physics builds on the last or is connected in some way to another concept. everything is linked and has meaning in physics, but thats just how i see it

might as well post the video of my prof having fun;

also somehow my dog managed to harmonize with Let It Be which was playing on spotify :v:
My recommendation is not to go to school.
Tonight I went with my friends to the local casino so they could get drunk, and thanks to the magic of getting free monopoly money for some promotional night I ended up turning $60 I got for free into $200.
No intent on ever going back, but I'm pretty pleased with getting free money for spending about 5 minutes on the slot machines and leaving as soon as I started seeing some large numbers.

Depends on the person, if you can swing the cost or really want to go into a career that requires a degree then by all means do it. The skilled crafts (welding, carpentry, iron working, etc) however also pay quite well nowadays and deserve a mention, and being an entrepreneur is also an option that doesn't require college (but leaves you with no backup plan)
this guy i work with went to the casino for a works night out a few months back, he took £100 with him that was for betting. He went in with the mindset that any profit over £100 he would stop and leave,he kept loosing till he had £30 left. He played one last game of blackjack and ended up winning just over £1.5k.
I'm going on a trip to Boston this weekend. Any recommendations for places to visit?

The aquarium is pretty cool, if you're into that sort of thing.

0:40 shit man
So when I moved into my current apartment last month I found an earring on the shelf in the closet (presumably from the last person who lived in my room). I figured it was probably fake but I had a professional look at it anyway. Turns out the diamond was fake but the gold setting was real so I got $50 for it.
Can't complain about finding $50.

Part of my old job was cashing out everyone's paychecks. One time I was cashing out my buddy and he made just over $200, and I didn't have that much in the register at the time. I told him I had to go into the safe to get it and he asked if he could get it in a certain denomination so I jokingly said "you could get in all in ones lol" and I guess he thought that was a good idea and agreed to it. Turns out carrying over 200 bills in your pocket is a huge pain in the ass(who would've guessed?)

I don't think that's a solid rule of thumb, it really depends on what you want to do. College shouldn't be an automatic choice because 'everyone else does it', nor should it be ruled out because it's overpriced. I know that I wouldn't be doing the work I am if I didn't have a degree, even if I'm not putting it much to use at the moment.
If you just want to do something like a trade then college is too expensive for what it is. If you can qualify for scholarships and want to go into a professional field then it can be a worthwhile investment. If you want to be a doctor or lawyer then of course it's mandatory.
Sometimes it can be worth it purely on the connections you make. While you certainly don't need a degree in journalism to be a journalist (unfortunately) even just having the connections you make while getting a degree are immensely helpful in getting a job.

-You could check out the USS Constitution and the other battleship next to it if you're into that at the Charlestown Navy yard. Along with some of the other historical stuff if you're interested. The touristy kind of stuff isn't so bad.
-Harvard Square has an Oktoberfest celebration and parade this weekend, Sunday I think.
-Blackstrap BBQ (or BT Smokehouse but it's further away)
-RF O'Sullivan for a burger
-New England Aquarium like catbarf said.
-Faneuil Hall
-Climbing to the top of Bunker Hill Monument is free
-Salem is good around Halloween, ~30min drive north of Boston but do research, I've heard mixed things what with tourist traffic and all. You could use Commuter Rail to get there to avoid driving and parking.
I'm literally wasting my money by going to university because I have no idea what the fuck to do when I get my degree. I'm the worst kind of person.
The reason I don't recommend college is because a majority of people are like taepo and have no idea what they are going to school for or what they want and all they do is put themselves in debit.
All my friends gave me shit for not going to college but than they both dropped out because they realized they hated the field they choose to study in and were literally burning money on something they had no interest in and they only went to school because their parents made them and they were desperate to get out of the house.
