Excellent, welcome to the Yugo AK club. Good choice on the Magpul magazines, I'm not a Magpul fanboy by any means but those are my favorite AK mags hands-down. Have you had a chance to shoot it yet with the lawnmower stock?
I wish we could own AKs in Canada.
I know nobody cares
but I fixed my computer! Thank you Kaspersky. All you other av programs can go suck a flaccid dick. Seriously considering spending $50 for a year license.
Okay so Kaspersky fixed my computer but I helped.

Niiiiiiiice. The only gun I own is a Marlin 881 tube-fed .22. I've shot a couple of groundhogs with it. Decked myself out in my ghillie suit and laid in wait on my parents' 2nd story balcony, hehe.

Not yet, the first chance I'll get to shoot it will probably be either this Sunday or on Veteran's Day. I picked up that PMAG a while ago because it was on a really good deal. The Crapco came with the gun, as well as some generic Eastern European steel mag that's a bit rusty.

While we're talking about real guns here's a family pic I took last week, minus the above AK of course.

Zastavas are sexy. I can't wait for LCT to release the M70AB. Maybe if we're lucky they'll do an M92 as well.
I think I almost blew up one of my batteries.
Oops.

Izhevsk Mechanical Plant best mechanical plant.
I've heard the Izzy Mosins are more common, but frankly I wanted an Izhevsk more because the history is better.
Here's my Zastava (Mossberg) Maverick 88

How do you like it? I saw one at the mall for $189, and 12 gauge is fun to shoot, so I was really considering it.
I absolutely love it. I bought mine for $230 before tax, but as long as you end up paying less than $270 you're getting an absolutely wonderful deal. The gun itself is very bare-bones because it's just a Mossberg 500 with a crossbolt safety and a blued finish. It's my first and only gun but being a 12 gauge pump-action, there's so many different ammo types you can use in it and that's what makes a shotgun so much fun. I highly recommend it for someone just getting into pump-actions or firearms in general.
My only problem is that I've heard aftermarket pumps aren't compatible. I would have to put wood on it, because I just have a thing for wood pumpguns.
Just to throw this out there, I put a Remington wood riot pump on my Norinco 870. It was ridiculously tight, barely fit and I think it would have cracked if the wood was any thinner.
Every part of the Mossberg 500 is compatible with the Maverick 88 except for the trigger assembly and for the most part, the handguard. You can replace the handguard, but it requires modification. If it really bothers you, a Mossberg 500 is about $100 more than the Maverick anyway. And IMO wood looks better on a Remington 870 than on a Mossberg.

They are with modification.
Alot of modification.
I have the same shotgun I use for work and it has never failed, no misfires no misfeeds, this thing will eat any shell I throw at it, got mine for $90 at a gun show.
The most fun I've had with mine was shooting 3" magnum slugs at an indoor range. Kicks like a horse and makes people in the other lanes stop to look at you. :v:

also makes a nice fireball
I just discovered that Jarhead 2 is a thing that exists. I haven't watched the trailer because I'm in the library and don't have my headphones with me but it sounds hilariously bad.
The whole idea of the movie is dumb. A central point of the first one was that they were bored as shit and pretty much didn't do a damn thing the whole time they were there, and yet the sequel is just ACTION ACTION SHOOTING ACTION EXPLOSION ACTION
Last night, there was a car accident with some people in my class. One died on the scene and two others are in critical condition. I didn't know any of them, but it's still tragic.

Suspected to be intoxicants involved, or just a genuine tragic accident?
Also, AR or AK? Its time to buy a rifle.

Don't know yet, not all the details have been released. Apparently they were going over 100 MPH on a country road, lost control, and rolled a few times. No one was wearing seatbelts and all four occupants were ejected from the vehicle. It was just a weird day at school, it was dead silent the entire day in the halls and tons of kids and teachers were crying.
As for the second question, get an AK. I've handled both in the past, and there's a reason I chose an AK over an AR. It's just so much more fun to shoot. Sure, an AR has tons of aftermarket and variety, but nothing (chambered in an intermediate cartridge anyway) beats the rawness of an AK and the 7.62x39 round.
Yeah, I was leaning to AK. I just worry about 922r compliance, I want to use foreign mags and furniture, so that makes things more difficult.

It's near impossible to get actually charged on 922r, so I don't think you should worry.
i dont think anyone has ever been charged on 922r by itself. Its only ever been tacked on to existing gun charges.
theres never going to be a time that the range officer at your local range will be like
"hold up there son, I need to inspect each and every part of your rifle for manufacturers markings."
