starbucks = cheap date and you can talk and look all you want and if they dont like you from that point you got coffee and a conversation for $10
Starbucks? Cheap? Hahahahaha. I used to work at one, the amount we charged for some shitty glorified coffee ought to be criminal.
I don't think I've ever heard of a "burger fi" - Canadian thing, I take it?
No it's just an expensive ass burger joint. Kind of like Burger 21 if you've heard of that.
we ordered two drinks, a bottle of water, and a burger and it came out to $35
Starbucks? Cheap? Hahahahaha. I used to work at one, the amount we charged for some shitty glorified coffee ought to be criminal.
It's almost like you had no sense of pride in your work or really learned about what constitutes the price of Starbucks. The only drinks that get expensive are your diabetes-inducing sugary abominations. Lattes, Cappuccinos and Macchiatos run under $3 in all sizes and are a cafe staple. [editline]12th November 2014[/editline] * A 20 Oz. Coffee is $2.11 after tax, and you don't just get McDonald's flat bottom workplace coffee brewer swill. You get choices of blends even in the drive through, and there's nothing like that around here. [editline]12th November 2014[/editline] Coffee is also absolutely never older than 15 minutes.
movies suck when you're just meeting someone because a. you can't talk very much and b. you can't look at each other very much either.

Mini golf. Bitches love mini golf.
Because minigolf in half a foot of snow is totally possible
agreed, not a first date scenario.
This would be the second date though.
starbucks = cheap date and you can talk and look all you want and if they dont like you from that point you got coffee and a conversation for $10
This actually made me laugh because one time after class we were waiting in line to get coffee at Tim Hortons and somehow Starbucks came up in conversation and we both agreed it's overpriced and tastes like ass. :v:
i mean if you dont work for minimum wage it isn't that bad burger fi on the other hand is expensive as fuck holy shit
oh man I fucking love burger fi. they just opened one near me, they have some bomb ass fries.
I've been on one date exactly and she told me a bit later that she wants to focus on her schoolwork and just be friends. Such is my life. I probably shouldn't over-analyze everything.

If you think Starbucks' coffee is never older than 15 minutes then you should try working there for once. You'll be in for a shock.
He DOES work there
That explains the attitude then, lol If his store rotates coffee every 15 minutes, either it's absurdly busy non-stop or it's burning through a lot of money. It's not economical to rotate old coffee that often.
He's not wrong. The drinks are cheap if you don't order bullshit, the quality is good, and its as close as you can get to an actual cafe without having one to go to. I love starbucks. Got a hella delicious doppio con panna there yesterday, it was like $2.
None of the stores in my area operate anything close to the way he described. Price? Wrong. Coffee rotated every 15 minutes? Not even close. Guess his regional manager has a different philosophy on things.
as much as I hate the Starbucks clientele where I live, they make a mean bacon gouda sandwich.
Their food is surprisingly good all things considered. It's all frozen and overpriced, but it is tasty, I'll give 'em that.
I don't know what the fuck any of this starbucks shit is.
Overpriced diabetes-in-a-cup and overpriced snack foods masquerading as a real cafe experience, basically. You're not missing anything.

It's company standard the role of store support rotates around the store completing tasks writing a timer as to when to brew coffee on 8, 10, or 15 minute intervals depending on the time of day.
Overpriced diabetes-in-a-cup and overpriced snack foods masquerading as a real cafe experience, basically. My ex worked at a starbucks and used to make me try drinks and shit but I didn't pay attention to shit she said so I didn't learn anything.
Our store literally never, ever, not even once, rotated coffee that often. The smallest time frame was 45 minutes and even that wasn't all that common compared to the usual hour interval, and sometimes it went longer. I also have never been to a Starbucks within about a 2 hour drive radius that changed their coffee that often.
Well, I'd have to say thats on the regional manager, then. Starbucks where I am is great. Especially when I'm craving actual coffee and not horse shit.
oh man I fucking love burger fi. they just opened one near me, they have some bomb ass fries.
the food is fucking delicious but the price hurts my wallet dip the fries in there concrete's for true heavenly taste
when i worked at starbucks, we rotated coffee so that no batch was more than 30 minutes old. In the morning that meant brewing a new batch every 8 minutes. If your store wasnt doing that then they were fucking up hard, considering that keeping coffee for 30 minutes or less is a corporate policy and a huge thing for the quality of the coffee. your manager could have gotten into a lot of trouble.

Boy, things sure have changed since I enlisted back in '08! People like her are why military spouses get such a bad name. She starts fucking a Sergeant and all of a sudden she thinks she's an expert on all things .mil Can people seriously not start shit over military matters on Veterans Day of all days? Please? I mean I was planning on unfriending her the next time she made a mind-numbingly stupid remark as it was, but on today of all days? Some people just have no respect. (to clarify, this comment isn't the only thing that set it all off, it's from a larger shitstorm she started with me - but I honestly lol'd really hard at this comment)
It doesn't just end with dependos, there are plenty of wooks who think they are entitled and tend to double standard when things don't go their way. It seems you handled the situation well, but in any case she shouldn't be doing that, she's like one of those officer wives demanding salutes because she is an officer's wife. Unfortunately as a current member I can't berate her with insults and such because of my current organizational status and she is probably going to cry wolf to whatever NCO she is fucking. Trust me she'll go down under, people like her eventually rot in the dirt.

I'd say it's because Italy, but then I looked at your flag. And I'm still gonna say Italy.

One would think that over the span of two years if something was really THAT far off-spec somebody would notice and it would get corrected.
