I think my router is dying. Every couple minutes or so, it'll just reboot on its own. It's getting really annoying because it stops my family from basically being able to do anything. Anybody have suggestions for a nice, not too expensive replacement?
Get a Cisco 2901 and don't question it
do it, don't let anyone tell you anything else
trust me, i'm a doctor
and then pay me to install and configure it

Alternatively, go to Staples and grab an N750 or an N600 or even an N300. I don't know how the new Linksys' are because Linksys was sold to Belkin from Cisco and it makes me a little nauseous.
OR If you want super turbo speed, pick up a Netgear AC1200 or something and some AC adapters and then take a breath because here comes the SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED.
It runs the 802.11ac protocol which is god-tier and is backwards compatible with a, b, g, n, etc.
Unless you get bottlenecked by your modem or something, but even then it's great.
Or come to my Staples, buy a NightHawk router with squaretrade so I can be hailed as the second coming of Jesus because nobody wants to spend that much for a home router, even though it's a great product.

Math is poisonous to my species, so cookies will do
best be damn sure it's double-stuffed oreos though
Nudes, sweet sweet revenge, alcohol, lots of laughs, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. My night took a turn for the better.
some news on the tinder post i posted earlier
she said it was cute and we're gonna meet after i got done with work tomorrow :)
sooo I'm 21 now.
now I can drink booze in the US, if I ever find myself there.
the drinking age being 21 is so dumb
i wouldnt be able to drink for another 3 years
ie, most of my uni course
FUCK that SHIT
Drinking and purchasing age is 18 here. I haven't made use of my age yet
Don't worry, there are plenty of under-21's here in America who drink anyway. Remember, it's only illegal if you get caught, and underage drinking is rarely ever prosecuted.
best option: just don't drink at all, give zero fucks.
Personally, I use the MGS codec tone for my calls and the alert tone for texts. I like it, especially when I forget to turn my phone on silent and I get a message in the middle of class with volume all the way up.
Thats one I currently have.
The cops showed up to my door because of a noise complaint. I was drunk and high, and they were like just keep it down ok? I was 19 btw

dammit I wish I could set a non-standard message tone on my 'droid without installing some shit that also does tons of stuff I don't want.

but beer is delicious
like honestly if beer tasted exactly the same and had no alcohol in it I would still drink it all the time
[editline]13th November 2014[/editline]
drinking to get drunk is stupid freshman-tier shit though I definitely agree
I can't stand the taste of most of the beer I've tried, but drinking just to get utterly shitfaced is most definitely "stupid college kid"-tier and I really have no respect for people who think it's cool.
This is one of the reasons I don't usually drink, I just don't like the taste. And as you said, drinking to get drunk is just stupid.
I do enjoy me some somersby or vodka (especially with coke) from time to time, but even then it's really limited. People usually don't say anything, because on the other hand they know that I'm always willing to be the DD.
I can't stand the taste of most of the beer I've tried
Its definitely an acquired taste, and I dont mean that in the "this really tastes terrible and I eat/drink it so I can be unique and cool" way.
like I honestly cant even pinpoint the exact point in my life where I went from "this tastes like fizzy urine" to "oh my god this is amazing Im going to spend $200 getting the equipment to make my own"
I imagine it has a lot to do with the particular brew as well. I know there's basically an entire ZIP code of different types of beers from all over the world and they all have their own flavor, I just haven't found one I liked yet. I typically stick to vodka, rum, bourbon, etc. when I drink. Lately I've taken a liking to Bärenjäger honey bourbon.
The description from their site:
Bärenjäger Honey & Bourbon is a delicious blend of premium Honey Liqueur and Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey made with generous amounts of pure honey and all natural ingredients.
Are you a bad enough dude to save the president?
As far as the beer discussion goes, my favorite beers are IPAs. I'm not too big a fan of the piss-water taste of regular beers (despite how often I drink them), but I love the strong taste of a good IPA. Not to mention the fact that they're so filling they're like liquid meals is an added bonus because you don't get drunk-hungry.
I don't really drink to get drunk, but I do like to get drunk with friends because good times usually ensue. It's not really something I do because I like or want to be drunk - the drunk-ness is really just a side effect in my world. I just love the fun shit that happens when you get drunk with friends.
I don't think drinking to get drunk is a bad thing. Now drinking to get shit faced puke my guts out pass out don't remember last night drunk is fucking stupid

I typically find that beer aficionados are divided into two camps: IPAs and Stouts
I dont really like vegetable-y bitterness that comes from hops, which is pretty much exactly what you get with an IPA, I like the bitterness that comes from roasted malts, like in a Stout.
Its the same kind of bitterness you get with black coffee and dark chocolate, which is awesome (and is probably why coffee/dark chocolate is often used to flavor Stouts).
Of course then you have Imperial Stouts that combine hoppy bitterness, and dark malt bitterness, and a much higher ABV. Shit is so heavy that I usually cant drink more than 2 :v:
I like Bourbon
Because minigolf in half a foot of snow is totally possible
This would be the second date though.
This actually made me laugh because one time after class we were waiting in line to get coffee at Tim Hortons and somehow Starbucks came up in conversation and we both agreed it's overpriced and tastes like ass. :v:
Poor Eastern candian It's not even snowing here yet. :V

This x100
I used to think I hated beer because I was only exposed to IPAs, I really don't like the hops taste much at all. I have recently started to really like stouts because of their nutty, roasted tones (or chocolate), and wheat beers because they're very light but still have that distinctive beer taste. Brown ales are pretty good too, rich and strongly flavored but again with less of the hoppy tone.
It's the middle of the day here in Alabama and it's 29 degrees with wind chill.
There is something seriously wrong with it being this cold this far south. I need to move back to Florida.
[editline]13th November 2014[/editline]
And apparently I need to try some Stouts.
What do you beer guys recommend? Especially along the coffee/chocolate palette.
I've had a taste aversion to stouts ever since I drank too many of them at a brewery in Nantucket this past summer. My favorite in Kirin when I can afford it and high life if I can't. It's cheap and decent.

Welcome to the start of climate change. Please leave Global Warming and Al Gore at the door
I was never exposed to good beer because my family only ever had cheap pisswater and when they let me have a beer when I was 13 that's probably why I hated it ever since

Im not sure where you live so I couldnt really tell you what microbrews to go for, but locally here in upstate NY we have Southern Tier. They make a whole bunch of really good Stouts that Catbarf can confirm are awesome.
-Creme Brulee (Vanilla stout)
-Mokah (Excellent coffee stout)
-Choklat (Obvious)
As for stuff that Im pretty sure you can get at any good beer store:
-Rouge Double chocolate stout
-Magic Hat "Heart Of Darkness"
-Young's Double chocolate stout
-Murphy's Irish Stout (Not the best but its common)
Honestly the only stout I dont really like I Guinness. Its pretty watery and low in flavor for a stout, IMO

Daily Life V.11: Sundry beverage discussion
Imagine if VW kept making Kubelwagens and we had modern ones like modern jeeps. I picture an alternate world where people drive lifted Kubelwagens around.
At least Mercedes makes Unimogs but I can't afford that :v:

HOLY SHIT, IT EXISTED. WHY DID THEY STOP?! Apparently in North America it was called The Thing.

I just got a twelve-pack of Leinenkugel vanilla porter, will report on how it is.
[editline]13th November 2014[/editline]
IT'S GOOD. Nice, mellow nutty flavor, strong vanilla overtones. Very little hops taste. It's really a shame that unless you go out of your way to try things, in the US you'll probably only be exposed to IPAs and common commercial stuff (Miller, Bud, ughghghgh). This tastes completely different.
