PA is pretty great. I like it here, and you will too. Also, Cabelas is pretty awesome. Did you check the aquarium area?

Fucking Willy Wonka's Armament Factory in that place. Every single thing in PA is x10 better than NY in every aspect.

[editline]17th November 2014[/editline] also selling my AR later this week for $750 and then buying a PTR-91 with the cash because HK is everything and also I really want a battle rifle. [editline]17th November 2014[/editline] thinking of doing something like this with it, but with a scope that doesn't cost $3k.
So is that essentially a semi-only G3? Awesome, I love me some G3. My JG G3 was actually very good. H&K has great ergonomics. Selling big-ticket items is the best, suddenly PILE OF MONEY! I profited $1700 from a mountain bike that I just sold but not really in the long run since I spent about 3K building up my current bike. It at least feels good to not be hovering around slightly more than broke for now.
H&K G3: brass annihilator
H&K G3: brass annihilator
H&K G3: roller ruiner
FN FAL: battle rifle master race, right arm of the free world
FN FAL: battle rifle master race, right arm of the free world
FALs are prohibited in Canada, we are not free.

Alright so I need some advice. I need a good jacket for the slightly cold part of the year that Californies call winter. I really want this one https://www.musterbrand.com/collections/eve-online/bombardier-198 but $160 is pretty steep. Can anyone give advice on where I can get something like this (bomber jacket, matte black, tacticool looking but subtle) Also eyeing this https://www.musterbrand.com/collections/eve-online/caldari-ops-jacket-200 as an alternative.
those are both hideous
Steel cased shit, here I come!
I dunno how well steel cased ammo would run in a G3
I got 200 rounds of .30 Carbine today. It was cheaper than Gander Mountain by only a few bucks, but I made the trip and it is technically cheaper so I grabbed a bunch. I got all the other goodies I wanted too. More that I had hoped for and I'm super satisfied. But really though. PA is fucking great. I always knew this because I sometimes just hop the border (10 min down the road) to go to the WalMart in Matamoras and it's fucking fantastic. Clean and staffed in an area that really doesn't seem like it sees crime very often. Likewise we stopped a few places and everywhere we went the stores were clean, staffed well and run by people who seemed to be content doing their jobs. Whereas in NY you have maybe three checklanes out of twelve open in dirty stores full of disgruntled workers. And the gun laws are soooo much nicer in general. But experiencing them was great. I bought ammunition and unlike in NY they just say "Are you 18?" I said "Yup" and I told them my birth date and than they rang me up. Done. In NY you have to show a license, they punch it into the computer and all this other shit. Ontop of that if the SafeAct ever gets the ball rolling any time soon they'll have to give me a backround check every time I buy ammunition and make it even more intrusive. The guys at Cabela's though were great. They knew what they were talking about, very helpful and it was just a great experience. Even the customers were nice and I even saw a guy open-carrying two sidearms on each side of his hip like it was no big deal and I love it. Little things too like: * They had dummy AR15's to show off optics. They weren't chained, you could take one and walk away but they were all there. * They had guns on display on the floor and they weren't chained down either. You just picked it up, looked at it and put it back. I just thought those two things were neat because they'd never fly in NY
* They had guns on display on the floor and they weren't chained down either. You just picked it up, looked at it and put it back. I just thought those two things were neat because they'd never fly in NY
I don't think that would fly in California either, which sucks so much, because I like quietly and ALONE looking at items I may or may not want to buy; I really hate being pestered by employees asking if I need help or accompanying me everywhere, cause I can't touch anything without an employee helping me.
Generally I just hate the experience of walking to the counter, leaning over because you can't see what's on the wall or read what's written on those tags and than you have to get an employee who is probably super busy just to hand it to you and than you gotta flag him down again to put it back and you have to do this every single time you want to so much as glance at a gun. At my local Gander 80% or more of the stock is behind the counter. Whatever is on the floor is likely not what I'm interested in either. Mostly big ass deer guns.
me and codemonkey are opening up a gun store Store name: cuomo go away Products: Building permits and guns (1 buck to who ever can guess why building permits)

There was one person in front of me, who was just picking up a gun they had already paid for, but because of MD laws it took the full 45 minutes. I very nearly said fuck it.
I dunno how well steel cased ammo would run in a G3
H&K has said it should work fine and I haven't heard of too many problems. Either way it's a G3, not a huge deal running shit through it.
Just dug out my PSP and put the first Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid games on it. Nostalgia is in full effect.

Have you ever been to Gander Mountain? You can fondle the shotguns all you want they are right there on a rack
The Dick's Sporting Goods @ Crossgates in Albany had a dummy rifle display there for optics last time I was there. Unfortunately because idiots most of the scopes were either broken or purposely maladjusted to bumblefuck.
Yeah except their prices are shit and the kids that work there are rude as phuk
Georgia gun shops best gun shops. This is from one a little south of me: That's one of four racks like that, you can just pick up any gun you want and play with it. They've also got a shitload more behind the counter and a huge-ass cage full of Class III's. Plus you can rent some of the fully automatics for $10. [editline]18th November 2014[/editline] Also, my roommate and I went urban exploring this past weekend. We found what we though was an abandoned elementary school. After we got inside, it was fucking dark and huge, laid out like a maze. Creepy as shit. After some research we later discovered that the building was a children's asylum in the 60's that closed after allegations of abuse. Fucking creepy shit man. We're going back in a couple weeks because we found a door that was welded shit and after peeking through a hole, we just saw stairs leading down into darkness on the other side. The curiosity is killing me. [editline]18th November 2014[/editline] Didn't take any pictures at the place, but here's one of my exploring gear instead. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/MSs5RFz.jpg[/thumb]

You can fondle the shotguns all you want they are right there on a rack
I've described my experiences at Gander Mountain already. Almost 80% of the guns are behind the counter and the two racks on the floor are literally all big game hunting rifles and have giant coils attached to the rack. Now that I do think of it though my Gander does have ONE AR and it's a plastic dummy behind the counter mounted on the wall. They naturally had to get rid of all their AR's after the SafeAct because well, they're fucking impossible to sell down unless you make them look like some bizarre hunting rifle. And my Gander Mountain/Dicks don't have dummy rifles with scopes on them or anything like that. And if they did they'd be bolted down because shit heads would walk off with them. It may just be the area I live in. For example my closest Wal-Mart deliberately doesn't stock ammunition and the ammo they do stock is all shotshells and they keep them locked up.
