Wooo I'm getting an invasive knee scoping done on Monday, I'll get to be on crutches for two days!
Wear knee pads when biking unknown trails. Or all of the time.
Basically just wear a suit of armor when biking.
I split open my left elbow over the summer when I was jumping off a small dirt hump but it wasn't bad enough that I needed stitches so I just taped my elbow and kept it straight for a while, it's a small scar now. A month later I fell on a trail with a shitton of roots and fell on my left knee but only got a gash from something a root or rock or something just below the knee and that's a scar now too, it wasn't so bad but I tied my sock around it and had to ride all the way back :v:
I'm lucky enough to have never had any serious injuries or broken bones ever in my life though, I am strung man.
Get well soon! You can ride with crutches, right?

Any comments on this?
So I'm taking this research class for school, and at the beginning of the year we got to pick research topics (anything we wanted), so I chose to do research on the rise of Islamic State (who was involved, which groups, when/where, etc). The whole year, we've been aggregating sources of information on our topics from different databases using different research strategies under the assumption that we'd be using those sources in a final project answering our research questions (this was what the teacher was hinting at the whole year).
Finally, last week, the teacher handed out our final project rubrics. We're to do our presentations on topics chosen for us by the teacher. Mine is "public use of mass transportation systems" :suicide:
At least I learned some useful searching skills for my Journalism classes.
Sounds like a proper kick in the nuts
Do share what you have tho, I am rather curious to see what info you have gathered
what if you just ignore this dumb bitch and do your presentation on IS

I saw my doctor yesterday after having a mental breakdown a few nights ago and she wants to put me on antipsychotic injections as opposed to pills. She says people on them usually do way better on them than pills so I'm feeling hopeful that things will get better.
I could take a 3DS Max course for €€€. Modeling, rendering and animation. I have a basic understanding of the program, but I am not sure if it's worth the effort and the money, as I am a self-taught and sliiightly proficient Blender user
help me ifap
Went for lunch again with that girl today. She didn't seem as interested as usual, but that was probably my fault because I was a little more awkward with her than normal. I didn't get to ask her if we're still going to see each other after the semester is over, but I can do that next time we have class together.

Prepare for textwall.
Most of the info is from password locked databases, but effectively I found that Islamic State got it's start in Iraq after the US Invasion in 2003, when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi formed the group Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad. The group was integrated into Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda, forming al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). AQI soon became a part of of the Mujahideen Shura Council, who then declared the existence of the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI). Al-Zarqawi was killed in 2007 by US airstrikes and his position as leader of ISI was taken over by one Abu Ayyub al-Masri. Al-Masri was killed along with his second-in-command, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi in a Coalition raid in 2010, thus leaving in charge Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the current leader and "caliph" of the Islamic State today. After coming into power, al-Baghdadi vastly expanded ISI's operations to include groups in Syria as well, thus creating what we know today as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (soon shortened officially to IS, or Islamic State).

Honestly it would be fucking hilarious to go up with everyone expecting some boring shit about metro buses and then go with my original plan and drop some real heavy Islamic State shit on them. I was 100% planning on some Zero-Dark-Thirty shit with mugshots and combat footage and really hardcore stuff too. Shame.

10/10 background music for presentation.

Don't worry pal, however it goes, you still did some progress. As shallow as it sounds, it's still learning experience
u got girl xp
Gotta start working on my pistol permit. NY makes it such a time consuming and involved task I haven't gotten around to it until now. I got the paperwork on my 21st birthday so the next step is to get a $91.50 money order from the post office, fill out an application and than call the Sheriffs department and find out when I can come submit the shit and get fingerprints done.
That's step 2. out of 30.
That's fucking stupid, charging you for your rights. I understand there are fees associated with background checks etc. but $90 is literally just money grabbing because they can.
I had to pay $40 for the packet on my 21st birthday. And the ONLY thing in it is the application and instructions on how to start applying. Ontop of that I already have finger prints on record but I have to get them taken again because NY.
And like I said this is step 2 of 30 it gets much more involved than this. My in-laws got their pistol permits and it cost them $700+ by the end of it and their guns were only $200.
I'll get the money order next week than get the ball rolling.
"The right to bear arms shall not be infringed.. as long as they've paid for the $40 instructional packet, gotten a $90 money order and had their finger prints taken, filled out the proper application, gotten three character references notorized, spoken with the local sheriff in an interview, had the Police visit their home to verify their residence, had a meeting the judge to decide if they really deserve a pistol permit or not, paid for the firearm on layaway to put on the permit than paid for the permit and had all the applications and forms sent to the State capital."

So I've really been wanting to take up snowboarding again this year but as always the only local area has opened no new trails and last I went, it was $22 a day, they now open later, are much more strict on stupid rules from what I hear, and they've fucking put their prices through the roof. Last I went it was $21/day, now is $35, season pass was previously $220 earlybird, now $325. They have like, 5 .4 mile trails, what the fuck?
