Getting started on my pistol permit finally. Gotta get a money order tomorrow and start getting character references. [editline]20th December 2014[/editline] I've been going to Gander Mountain a lot. Like two times in two days just to stare at the pistols. I really want one so things gotta get going sooner or later. I want a Glock 19 for my first handgun and than a S&W Bodyguard for a CCW (if I get one).
Dude fuck man I have to write a letter to the judge telling him why I want a CCW and since this is NY they can deny me just because. This is gonna suck.
you're a detective though...
you should dress like this every day

I told my english teacher in the 12th grade i'd become a pornstar and every day that passes I consider it more often.
Spark of creativity. I started making a replacement for the HL1 crossbow. It is now a G98 for my WW1 themed deathmatch map which I started working on today.

Am I the only one worried about the future to a huge weaboo boohoo etc degree. I mean, automation is gonna continue to take jobs away. People will be pissed about that and you can bet your top dollar (whats left of it) that those who have the ability to help will oppose a minimum living wage even though its an inevitable conclusion of continued automation (its not 1:1 for repairmen, we're lucky if its 1:12 men to robots). So that'll make things interdasting with a little social unrest and bickering thrown in, at a time when we really don't need it. The environment is gonna go to shit, I fuckin know it. A lot of mainstream society is starting to see it as a problem, and this being the warmest year on record WITH observable effects help. It doesn't matter though, the energy companies and those who need carbon based systems for profit will focus short term profits instead of long term profits. Anyone in power will probably continue to blatantly deny any form of climate change based purely on outdated ideological grounds. I don't think we're gonna reach absolute OH SHIT worst case scenario of a 4 degree celsius warming but whatever does happen aint gonna be pretty and its going to hit the poorest nations (who have the least influence on carbon emissions) the ahrdest (bangladash, rip) Water shortages and food shortages will be a thing too, I imagine. Aquifers are being depleted which will hamper agricultural production (Ogallala, local aquifers in washington, california etc). There will be a recovery but I imagine a few rough years will result. Desalination is expensive, and brine is a pain in the dick, but I imagine we'll find a way. Maybe desalinate with Liquid Thorium reactors, Gen 5 nuclear plants, hydrothermal electricity, or fusion power? Anything with consistent heat should do. The planet isn't gonna die. Loads of animals may die out, but some will adapt and live. Life clings onto living and doesn't like to let go. In the harshest waters, in the warmest climes, to the depths of oceans, life uhhh finds a way :v: Its gonna be a few rough years. But at the end of it, I imagine humanity will emerge stronger and more united than ever before. Technology will be advanced in ways we can't even predict, and I imagine the first fusion powerplants and interplanetary colonies will be ticking away. A space elevator may be built, agriculture will become perfectly mechanized, the maker movement will reach its zenith, and human lifespans and health will have never been higher (3D printed organs, yes?). tl:dr- I think the future is gonna suck for a while but there is a light at the end of a tunnel and its pretty damn bright. and I'm a person who needed to rant and whine gripegripegripe
As a half-environmental engineer, half safety engineer, I can safely say that while have have in fact done a pretty good job boning the environment, we've slowed our boning down to sufficient levels that we have probably bought ourselves enough time to push the real shit out of our lifetimes. unfortunately that means that the retards in our generation can use that as ammo to shovel the problems onto the next generation, much like our parents did to us. [editline]21st December 2014[/editline] "kicking the can down the road" is pretty much a buzzphrase in the environmental engineering world these days

We had to wrestle around with a shoplifter today. He stole some shit and by the time we noticed he had walked back into the store with all of it in a different shopping bag to return it. Once he finished returning it we stopped him at the register and he tried to muscle past us so I kept getting infront and blocking him. When he tried to push us my supervisor grabbed him and I took his arms and we twisted him around and started to drag him back toward the office. My supervisor said he tried to slam him on the ground but because me and Big mike were pulling him backward he couldn't. At some point he just gave up resisting and we brought him into the office. The fuck had used hypodermics in his pocket but I guess that's why I wear Kevlar gloves. Trooper came by and took him away like twenty minutes later. [editline]21st December 2014[/editline] He was wearing a cardhart so he is now a Cardhart Breaker.
There's a suspiciously rifle shaped box on my doorstep and since my parents asked exactly what I want for christmas I wonder what it could be Maybe a new pair of skis! :v: Our mountain announced opening day I may ski this year yet!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65k4cO5NRQU Made a video of hydro dipping an ak receiver and its cover.
I know nothing about hydrodipping, but I'm pretty sure that these sticky strands are something you really don't want happening.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65k4cO5NRQU Made a video of hydro dipping an ak receiver and its cover.
I hydro dipped some tow hooks in a bowl of water using spray paint and it came out pretty good. That looks very expensive. Also I'm about to get a pretty decent job soon, so look out for tactical-chief. coming to a forum near you soon
I know nothing about hydrodipping, but I'm pretty sure that these sticky strands are something you really don't want happening.
looks like they were mostly on the grip he used to hydro dip though, so it probably came out fine. a bit of touch up work never hurt anybodies first try :v: My cousin worked at a hydro dipping company for a while and offered to dip some things for me but I had nothing worth doing at that time. Maybe I'll see if he stills knows anybody and I can dip my AK too
SoI haven't checked Facebook in like a week and apparently all I missed is cutsey couple pictures. Fuck off.
Anybody here do minimalist camping? I've been thinking about putting together a pack that could carry enough shit for me to go out in to the woods and stay for a few days comfortably at a moment's notice. Shelter half, sleeping bag, MREs and water, shit like that. A lot of times I feel like driving off and stopping wherever I end up, and just camping there, and I wish I could actually do that.

Aged site, but it has some good info regardless
For good deals, MassDrop has an Ultralight community: https://www.massdrop.com/buy?cat=ultralight Whereas most of it also ends up being pretty minimalist. I push MassDrop a lot so it's probably worth noting that it's a pretty great site if you have hobbies that there are drops for, also just for cool stuff.

Is that a pipe-fitting for a scope?
