I'm working on putting together a decently comprehensive first aid kit to carry around with me. Especially at work because the LP office has the only stocked aid kit in the whole store and that was by me nagging they order a new one and even brand new they barely have shit in them. One of the retarded cashiers cut his finger pretty fucking deep on the tape dispenser because everyone up there can barely dress themselves much less be trusted with anything remotely sharp. He cut deep and he was bleeding a lot and because he was a dumb fuck he got blood all over the fucking place and had no idea what to do. Long story short, I had to clean and dress his cut and in the process of doing so I was reminded at how badly stocked our first aid supplies are and I'm pretty happy that I had my little aid kit on me. I just need something a little more comprehensive, compact and less ghetto. I bought an Adventure First Aid .5 kit and I figure I'll stuff all the shit I need into that since it'll be small enough to carry on me in a pocket. [editline]29th December 2014[/editline] To give you an idea the three first aid kits we have outside the LP Office contain: * Managers Office - Triangle Bandage, Scissors and nothing else. * Receiving Office - Already Activated Ice Pack. That's all. * LP Desk - Imodium, Gloves, Rubber Band Gun and Rubber Bands.
I wish it would snow here in Virginia. By early December last year we'd had a decent amount of snow. Also, Timebomb, I see you reading this, there's a thread about fracking over in SH right now, I'd like to hear your thoughts if you care to weigh in.

OSHA rules state:
1910.151(b) In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available.
https://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=STANDARDS&p_id=9806 "near proximity" has been (as I said), interpreted by OSHA to mean:
While the standards do not prescribe a number of minutes, OSHA has long interpreted the term "near proximity" to mean that emergency care must be available within no more than 3-4 minutes from the workplace, an interpretation that has been upheld by the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission and by federal courts.
https://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=INTERPRETATIONS&p_id=25627 Long story short: Its appalling IMO that you are forced to buy your own god damned first aid supplies to use in an occupational setting because the shit your employer provides is inadequate, and you could probably scare your supervisor into buying some by citing that OSHA regulation :v: [editline]29th December 2014[/editline]
Also, Timebomb, I see you reading this, there's a thread about fracking over in SH right now, I'd like to hear your thoughts if you care to weigh in.
I think I wrote a paper on it and did a cost-benefit analysis on NYS shale fracking back when I was a sophomore, Ill see if I still have it on my google docs and write up a post from that :v:
Speaking of the weather, it's still not below freezing in Missouri when last year it was 0 every day at this time what the fuck Earth? Also, got back from my snowboard trip in Whitefish a few days ago and it was fucking rad. 24+ inches of fresh powder in the three days I was there.
I told my Store Manager to just order a first aid kit every single time he orders supplies so we can stockpile them and distribute them where needed. But he only ordered the one for my office and he forgot to give it to me for a few months. So I don't even care enough anymore to mention it again. He won't do it. We have a distant-father sort of Store Manager and most of our issues stem from that.
haven't been to this subforum for a long time. anyways, just got one of these.
Looks nice and chunky. Does it feel sturdy?
Looks nice and chunky. Does it feel sturdy?
it's got an aluminium frame so it's a lot sturdier than my old galaxy s3 at least. windows 8.1 feels a lot smoother than android ever did too, not to mention the 5 inch 1920x1080 screen is just brilliant

Every fuckin time my cousin gets sick she purposely gets everyone sick. "Oh you'll get sick anyway so it doesn't matter" Wtf is that, it's called preventative measures! Wash your hands, sneeze/cough into your elbow, don't cook if your sick, just wiped your ass or what have you. We eat family style so every time we eat dinner and she's sick she sticks her infected chopsticks in all the food and conscientiously choosing to eat without using a serving spoon. She has absolutely no idea how diseases are spread nor the desire to learn from me because I'm younger than her. I'm the one who just took a college level Bio class, she has a fashion degree. Fuck ignorant people.
Just wanned to wish the nice people here a Happy New Year! :D
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-watch/wp/2014/12/30/horrifying-civil-liberties-predictions-for-2015/ god bless
Today at work I witnessed my project manager, a former Marine Captain, and a contractor, a former NSWDG chief, get in a pissing contest over whether the Marines or Navy is better, and it was glorious. Left work thirty minutes late and didn't even care.
You should've informed them that the Coast Guard is the best.
Just had an hour long panic attack. Sure do wish I had some reefer.
got myself some Emerson AOR2 Combats, and they fit waaay better than my tan ones. For one, they have the stretch material in the knees and ass so they dont ride up like a motherfucker For two, they are actually long enough to cover my ankles For three, they're AOR2 instead of tan in the middle of winter
