10/10 would bake with.
Denver Comic-Con this weekend. Nothing is more relaxing than dressing up as a video game character and sexually harassing people with friends. *swoon*
why does my english class have to suck so bad
My English Class is doing 60's costume party; just got the okay to do vietnam loadout, but I don't have one :v:
i'm just curious but why does mostly everyone i know hate the f-35 with a passion?
i'm just curious but why does mostly everyone i know hate the f-35 with a passion?
biggest waste of money ever
biggest waste of money ever
how so?
Some time ago on my english classes we were watching Little Britain wut
its like $150 million or something per fighter and its not any more capable of being a plane than a mig-19
its like $150 million or something per fighter and its not any more capable of being a plane than a mig-19
well dude it's a test aircraft and the technology thats gonna be used on the f-35 is still in development
well dude it's a test aircraft and the technology thats gonna be used on the f-35 is still in development
also they missed their 2012 deployment date, and now its est. to be in 2019, so the government basically spent like 200 billion dollars on a plane they cant use for another 10 years
i'm just curious but why does mostly everyone i know hate the f-35 with a passion?
Piece of shit Barely works All F-35s in service with the USAF for training and evaluation were grounded Piece of shit Only USAF version is on schedule, carrier based and VTOL versions are way behind schedule Forcing it on every NATO country when the Eurofighter, Rafale and Gripen are far superior in every way to the F-35 Another excuse for Stephen Harper to fuck over Canada because the Conservatives are trying to force them on our military Did I mention it's a piece of shit that barely works?
and the total projected cost for the planes and keeping them active for 30 years is like 1.5 trillion dollars that a lot of fucking money and thats assuming nothing goes wrong with them
its like $150 million or something per fighter and its not any more capable of being a plane than a mig-19
More like a P-51 am I right? [editline]29th May 2013[/editline]
yo you realize it barely works because it's a test aircraft... right? ofc its gonna be buggy as fuc [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] i mean isnt that what testing a prototype is all about????
Russia can make their first 5th generation fighter work fine right away. This is America's second 5th generation fighter and they're fucking up way too hard with it.
i mean i can understand if you people think it's expensive as fuc but calling it a piece of shit cause it's faulty right now is just dumb it's a prototype, it's gonna be faulty, and it's better if the errors are found now so when lockheed actually produces this thing, it wont be a piece of shit
its the cost to performance ratio that makes it suck a lot
its the cost to performance ratio that makes it suck a lot
blame it on the feds they wanted lockheed to outsource a big chunk of engine development to companies like GM [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] like im not saying this to be rude, but am i making sense here or does it sound like im talking out of my ass?
Our government would rather buy a bunch of gimmicky, inconceivably expensive, wonky, and untested new aircraft than fly similarly performing cheaper "old" planes.
i'm just curious but why does mostly everyone i know hate the f-35 with a passion?
If we look beyond the fact that it's "expensive" there's still a metric shitton of reasons not to like that aircraft. First off, it has a razorback canopy. Though proven to be good looking on planes like the P-40 and Spitfire, it really fucks up the pilot's rear visibility. F-35 pilots admitted to being raped in guns only mock dogfights by every opponent from the A-4 Skyhawk and F-16 to the British Tornado ADV. They simply cannot see their targets and this in air combat is a serious design flaw. The aircraft was designed to have a low payload, and don't bother bringing up optional external hardpoints because we all know that ain't gonna happen since sacrificing stealth would make the Lightning II redundant to the Strike Eagle. The reason they were ok with having such a shitty payload was because they were planning on being able to deploy more of them. Too bad they're so expensive that that ain't ever gonna happen either. And also, the USAF realized not too long ago how much they fucked up by wanting a variant (F-35A) that was specific to their branch and how they could have substantially cut down the program costs by simply adopting the Navy's F-35C, as the difference in the Navy variant was increased wing area for more range/fuel, and strengthened landing gear, neither of which could actually hurt the aircraft. It's already too late for the USAF to turn around and adopt the C instead of the A so they'll just have to live with it.
If it weren't for the pilots' lives, I would almost hope to see the F-35 fleet fucked up in the future. Maybe a dozen or so will get knocked out in some raid by insurgents on the ground some day by an IED that cost $50 to make. Then maybe someone will realize, if only for a moment, how incredibly stupid having such hard to replace jets is.
Our government would rather buy a bunch of gimmicky, inconceivably expensive, wonky, and untested new aircraft than fly similarly performing cheaper "old" planes.
Always makes me wonder. USA still uses Abrams tanks and Blackhawks, even though they are already quite aged, yet there aren't really any serious thoughts of replacing them. But they go fucking nuts over planes.

But they go fucking nuts over planes.
The US likes planes. The US people like planes. Tanks are considered dirty and lowly, as far as I know, by most people in the US. Wargaming (the company) brought this up, and it came to my attention that Russian people really like tanks. Planes, especially with the American mindset, have some air of invincibility and finesse. For instance I could draw all the fighter planes I want on my math homework and my teacher wouldn't bat an eye, but if I drew a T-72 or a Leclerc my teacher might have something to say to me.
The military instead of buying all of these should have just made a fleet of Sopwith Camels. I mean, they could build them for dirt cheap. Every riflemen would soon become a pilot and we would black out the skies with something more effective than the F-35
so much f-35 hate it makes me cry
i think we should just all not spend ridiculous amounts of money on defence and instead spend it on offence... IN SPACE!!!! watch out space men
