I hate it because they gave it one engine. It's be so damn sexy if they'd only given it two.
we don't hate the F-35 I personally just think we should have adopted the Block 60 F-16E/F. It's the first aircraft that the United States has sold to foreign countries that is better than our own. [t]http://www.f-16.net/attachments/dsc07042_144.jpg[/t]
Don't fix what ain't broken.
did i tell you guys about a story of an indoor paintball game where i brought a skateboard?
play this as audio instead this is so fucked up on so many levels
Son, you don't know the meaning of fucked up. You want fucked up? THAT is fucked up.
how do you even manage to discover something like that
Russia can make their first 5th generation fighter work fine right away.
'Scuse me, this is Russia we're talking about. The first five will fail catastrophically and turn into fireballs above Siberia, but nobody will know because it's all hush-hush, and then the next ones will start to work and produce a good craft.
Son, you don't know the meaning of fucked up. You want fucked up? THAT is fucked up.
WHY AM I LAUGHING MAKE IT STOP THIS IS SO WRONG I AM A BAD BAD PERSON In other news I want to start a 3D printing business. I just need to get some more machines and get enough capital for a ZCorp for non-functioning models edit: seriously I know several people running small-time businesses in their garages or houses that make a fair amount of money [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] also why the hate on the F-35? The F-18, F-16, and F-15 all had problems when they first were put in service and are starting to show their age. The F-16 had problems with its fly-by-wire that would literally turn it into a flying lawn dart with no way for the pilot to control it. The F-35 will eventually become a capable plane [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] I mean honestly what new plane works flawlessy right from the start? From the very beginning of aviation there have always been issues. Even commercial aircraft usually have issues at first (not just the 787)
I'm pretty sure most people don't think terribly highly of the F-16 either, so...
Make Eurofighter or Rafale NATO standard and watch America throw the most hilarious hissy fit ever when they can't sell the F-35 to anyone.
Sell Rafales and Gripens to the entire world LMAO
@ Paindoc: Can you print classic AR furniture? Cool retro AR-10 shit is rad. Also a M16 heat shield only handguard is pretty desired within my friend circle.
Well, yes, and no. I can print anything technically. I do have the resources and know-how to make some pretty neat and accurate stuff in Autodesk Inventor but it can be a major pain in the ass. Part of the problem is the resiliency of prints, I still need to make TaiwanesePrick and Pew a foregrip so I can see how much abuse these parts can take. No as in parts like handguards may be really hard to design if I don't have actual physical parts to play with in order to find attachment points. Thin walls can also be an issue. Size as well, my max is about 9.5x9.5x5 I can tweak infill settings (and shapes, from gridline-like formations that criss-cross to a materially-efficient honeycomb shape. I need to run some tests) and experiment with different materials besides PLA like ABS and Nylon, but that all requires money. However my new monitor is on the way and summer is fast approaching, it will be the first time I have had absolute free time for my printer alone since I built it in December. Hopefully this summer I'll have some things to show off and hopefully sell online. I'm already looking at domain names and webhosting for a potential online shop. We'll see I'll keep you guys updated. And I will offer facepunch-exclusive discounts if I do sell stuff :D [editline]30th May 2013[/editline] oh not to mention sourcing cheap filament with tight tolerances that is the actual material it is advertised as it a bitch. I only have about 3 suppliers I trust, and 2-3 more I'd be willing to try Here is where I order most of my material if anyone wants to see colors and pricing https://ultimachine.com/catalog/print-materials This site has some olive drab ABS that I want to try out in my next order; they usually throw in free samples so I'll be sure to ask for some.

on the subject of f-35's since im too lazy to read through all of it the prototype for it was in 2000. They've had 13 years to fix it, and it still doesn't work and thats why people think its shit.

I hate the F-35 because it's a prototype. They should refine it, make it cheaper and more efficient before selling it to everyone.
I hate the F-35 because it's a prototype. They should refine it, make it cheaper and more efficient before selling it to everyone.
The X-35 "Hat Trick" was a pre-prototype. The F-35 "Lightning II" (which the first examples of were used as prototypes) isn't honestly that much better than it. The F-22A is least was an improvement over the YF-22. At this rate we can't really do anything but push forward with the development of this thing. We've already spent WAAAAAYYYY too much money to do that.
I want to watch a movie, but don't know what. Agree for 2001: A Space Odyssey Disagree for Apocalypse Now Redux
BOTH

I thought I heard that somewhere
Just outright asked my mother for permission to combust the devil's lettuce. Hope all goes well.
