I agree, he's more of a Thriller star than a James Bond, but the Craig Bond films aren't really 'Bond' films so much as Espionage Thrillers. There's no evil mogul with a scheme (aside from kidnapping the water or some shit), they're a bit more grounded than a Bond Villain. Less Gadgets and the plot unfolds differently to most Bond Films while keeping a lot of the tropes and stylistic choices and elements of a Bond movie. People who don't like Bond (?) like the Craig Movies, and people who like Bond are able to watch the Craig movies as just another spy film that's good.
Was it even worth watching? I've seen all the Craig ones but that, and I keep on putting it off because everyone says it's not so hot.
It has one of the worst-written Bond villains in recent memory, and the director (Marc Forster of World War Z fame) fumbled the film's action sequences pretty badly. Other than that, as a standalone Bond film, it's okay. As a sequel to Casino Royale it's a bad sequel.

Christoph Waltz is Blofeld, you can see he's wearing the the mao suit and Blofeld usually spots bond.

They're just doing the thing Star trek: Wrath of Cumberbatch did and saying he's not. Also noticed Andrew Scott.
