You should really work on your mapping. :v: [editline]05:10AM[/editline] Let Dr Recon fix that up for you. [editline]05:33AM[/editline] Do what I did to the middle stones to the rest of the stones.
Am I still good to join? Also, can one of you guys explain to me how this whole game works? I stopped playing PW just before this craze started.
Took a day or two but I'm here now Having successfully constructed a small research base in their new territory, the Orkin men work around the clock to get things in order. Their initial test of a genetically modified squid for enriching the oxygen content of water is released into a small pond deep within the base. A transport lands dropping off a medic and two soldiers as the Commander of the base moves to the lowest sector to meet with other commanders within the galaxy.
@Faren: Welcome back, anyways, here's the short version: There is a world map, this represents all the players bases, you put your name and paint a landscape in a title, then make or take a map and play on like a regular Pw with bases, but without any enemies. Though, you can travel to the 4 titles next to you and attack or make peace or whatever.
Sweet. Will update soon with my base/map.
Welcome to Civ. :v:
Oh, to clarify; Do I start off with a base or do I have to create one? (Oh please let it be the former.)
You have to create one, but seeing as you came in a bit late you can speed build to catch up with the rest.
*Tries to figure out a way to build an underwater base* *decides that dumping gigantic buildings into the ocean would be the best method*
Lol, now I had a brain storm for an map!
Declare worldmap [editline]08:58AM[/editline] Yes,im joining
Aaargh. Heeeeeeey, could I please just begin with the base? I can hold off on doing anything important/advancing into different squares for a while if you'd like. I just think that building my base like this is going to take a lot of unnecessary effort.
You haveto, but as recon said, you can speedbuild. I think building bases are quite fun if you get an epic base by the end of it.
"Tell me...What are you building here?"
I think my clones are slightly evil.. :v: "We are constructing a clone cloning facility, to produce clones on a mass scale! No one will be able to stop us when this facility is up and running, aha!"
What I meant, Darthslaker, is that building a base in open water would take a shit load of extra spriting(engineers with flippers?) I don't plan on starting with some kind of super duper resourced base with everything it needs in the first turn. I was just wanting make the actual framework of the base so I could bring in all of the equipment and crap in the following turns.

[editline]09:16AM[/editline] Oh I read that again, yeah I'm pretty sure you can do that. However, I'm always accused of cheating in these threads.. Beh!
Faren: You dont need to do spriting, just use a helicopter to lay the basic stuff, then bring in engis, thats what..um...ragamuffin did on the first civ He had ships too so meh

Meh Im going to start from scratch, seeing the units i will bring in(well, they are spartans but meh [editline]09:22AM[/editline] A expiditionary force arrives, who will make a rig as a small base. The force is: +1 destroyer +1 cruiser +1 submarine
Declare mine and Elf. :v:
What the fazzoook, I usually get to construct my base before I'm bombarded... but it looks like it's different this time round. :v: CLONES TO THE BUILDING ROOM! [editline]09:25AM[/editline] Faren, as you can see, that guy.. Darth whatever, or something, just started with a huge ship, so yeah, I'm still reckoning starting with a basic framework is fine.
Faren, you can start with a small base and expand from there, aslong as you don't start with a huge fortress. :v:
Come ooon spartan, i'm waiting for the survivors :v:
Shit happens. The clients soldiers land. A debate on who is in charge rages. The builder waits for his lazer to cool down. The Door is finished. Some minor aesthetics are added to the underground base. Satellite Sam follows the progress of two drones. Shit! The drones relay the images back to Sam. Other Life has been contacted! The loud speakers bellow out a message. We come in peace do not shoot. We wish to come to terms with you. The Drones will not approach any further until somebody allows us.
"Ahhhh the Spawning Chamber.... I will need this to raise my armies..."
Declare. [editline]07:38PM[/editline] (Map will get more detail later. I'm about to go do something else.) The old Australian base was still. The halls were empty, spotless, as if they had not been tainted by even the smallest speck of dirt. The generator had been off for years. The waters surrounding it were as calm and pure as ever, unknowing of what was about to become of them. "Drop pod nearing destination."
You don't have to declare on your own map if no one's there.
Fair enough. Thanks.
You don't have to declare on your own map if no one's there.
Though I still think it's reasonable in-case your editing and someone declares on your territory.
More digging and some wood cutting.
