I never had a board to start skateboarding on so i just keep borrowing me friend's board which does cause some annoyances since half the time they dont look after them right and have the board set in a different style to how i prefer it. I say i've been skating like 2 week with me keeping on borrowing boards and lately all i can do is ollie and do a 180 shove it every now and then but i guess its progress so far.
Yes I saw that, I am scared, but pro-tip, don't go off stairs on a shit board and DO land on the bolts (the bit above the trucks)
If you don't land bolts, you will snap your deck in half, snap the tail, or the nose.:colbert: Edit: Let me rephrase; You could possibly snap said bits.
If you actually SKATED, you can feel the difference. Mini logo are basically cheap walmart boards that have no pop, flips on the other hard are a bit more expensive, but they have a shit ton of pop. Try skating THEN tell the difference kthx
I do skate? Also, adding people to the list. Also my newest skateboard is pretty crap. Actually just the trucks are, they are quite tight (if I tighten them any more they'll start going back around) but they are really loose, I turn slightly and the wheels dig into the deck, which is annoying, but I can send it back and get different trucks. (They are Thunder trucks) Edit 145 low that is.
I used to skate everyday from grade 7 to grade 10.. split my head open on 16 stairs haha but i kept going.. Then i started smoking and cudn't be fucked. [editline]12:28AM[/editline] Also i'm mongo Could do alot of lip tricks and pop shoveit kickflip 3oh flip(360 flip) heel flip alot of other flip trick jazz.. never got to good at vert was more of a stree skater apart from lip tricks Had a Girl deck destructo trucks(back when they were the new thing) point blank wheels indie bolts'n other shit and i started with the koston abec 7 bearings but found abec 5's lasted alot longer and minimal speed difference from 7's
I haven't skated in a long time, in fact, i still have my old set up. I have the clear blue enjoi deck, silver trucks, bone swiss bearings and richta wheels. It's all old grade stuff though since it hasn't been updated in a couple years. Everyone started abandoning it when the little posers came along and i haven't heard from many of them since. I used to be able to do most tricks and their switch/nollie variations but my favorite was the tre flip, always.
Fuck da smoke and start again, also, owch much?
I skate every now and then to make sure i don't forget how to do everything.. but i dont really find the time to go hard-out anymore [editline]12:38AM[/editline] Me a about 7 months ago went for a random skate with a friend.. kinda fail photo considering i didn't land the heelflip i stomped it in the air. But she insisted on taking a photo everytime i got on the board.
I skate, albeit terribly. Gots an almost Chris Haslam Sig :v: Add me to the list! EDIT: Fakie isn't the opposite of mongo, its when you move your back foot forward to the nose of the board, and your front foot back to the middle. This means you then trick as if you are rolling the the opposite direction.
Can add me to the list to if you want
I skate, but i'm only semi. I've got an element-board. Add me :downs:
Okay, I added people, I have a question though, do you use a proppe tool like a Y-tool for tightening stuff and mounting decks or do you use just a spanner and alan keys or what?
Okay, I added people, I have a question though, do you use a proppe tool like a Y-tool for tightening stuff and mounting decks or do you use just a spanner and alan keys or what?
If there is a skate tool around I use it, but if I can find one and spanner etc will suffice.

Cuz I was gonna order one seeing as the trucks I just got were supah loose, I can just tighten it as soon as it gets here, cuz I got a 'no quibble return garuntee' so, yeah. This is what I just got: Deck http://www.skateboardsofchoice.co.uk/decks/decks-blueprint/BPAC3-blueprint-pachinko-brady-7-75-skateboard-deck.htm?browse=1 Trucks http://www.skateboardsofchoice.co.uk/trucks/trucks-thunder-trucks/THNSKT0026-thunder-145-polished-skateboard-trucks-low.htm?browse=1 Wheels http://www.skateboardsofchoice.co.uk/wheels/wheels-ricta-wheels/RICSKW0008-ricta-naturals-49mm-skateboard-wheels.htm?browse=1
You can add me aswell.
I just came in from some skateing with a friend, i just started so im learning the basics and trying to suceed with and ollie, im gonna keep going 'til i get better!
http://www.skateboardsofchoice.co.uk/wheels/wheels-ricta-wheels/RICSKW0008-ricta-naturals-49mm-skateboard-wheels.htm?browse=1
I've got those rictas, but in pink, they are sexy as fuck.
Hmm, I'm wondering weather to actually send it back, or man up and keep it even though it has half holes in, could they turn into cracks? I mean I doubt it but has this ever happened to anyone else? It turns to loose and the wheels go into the deck?
Okay, I added people, I have a question though, do you use a proppe tool like a Y-tool for tightening stuff and mounting decks or do you use just a spanner and alan keys or what?
I started simply with a shifter spanner from a shed at home, but I went skating with one of the staff at my local skate store and when he pointed out my trucks needed tightening, I said i'd break out the spanner when I got home, he pulled out his Skate Tool (It's a T shaped Y tool) and tightened them for me, and then told me to keep the Skate Tool. edit: I skate, My stance is Regular, I suck at skating goofy. I prefer skating Street because I never practiced Vert due to the bowl being full of BMX riders. Been skating since I was 9, But I stopped for 2 years in the time between when I snapped my first Folklore deck and bought my current Zero. Zero 9 ply deck Girl trucks (tight, how I like my bitch's ) with risers Modus black bearings My own scratched art on the grip tape. I skate in shorts because I hate the people that get around in skinny jeans. I live in Adelaide and my local Skate park is called "The Fields" I don't wear protective gear, I don't feel it's worth it. It feels clunky and I've only regretted not wearing it once, When I was learning to ollie and fell into the bowl. Zero deck has a shit load of 'pop'. Folklore deck feels soggy in comparison. Most advanced flip trick I can do is Varial Heelflip.
I used to skate. Never really got too good at it but it was still fun. Fucked up my ankles too many times so now I dont like to skate as much. but I sure do love longboarding. add me to the list anyways
I'm ordering some venture trucks and girl rises this weekend :v: You still haven't added me to the list.
I went off a curb once.
I hate skaters.
Add me please. :buddy:
