I'm not a fan of reality TV, but this looks like a decent idea for a show. I'm definitely watching it, even though I have learned a lot about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world from numerous post-apocalyptic survival tabletop RPGs I've played over the years, as well as the Fallout PC games.

The credits state that some of the situations were made up. Not to mention there's an entire medical staff just out of camera view. And the promo for the next episode just ruined it for me. my fav part about the show is that some of the people actually know what the fuck they're doing (unlike a similar show Kid Nation) (yeah I watched it I was interested in the interactions and sociology who cares if it was intended for kids) The gassifier was pretty badass and my favorite character is the older handyman. Also, keep in mind that the colonists don't KNOW they are in no danger; it clearly says that the producers didn't tell the colonists that the bikers weren't allowed to touch them.

i have to say it's just easier to watch a show when the people are pretty. especially when you're high and not actually watching the show just the pretty people run into exciting shit. this seems like average people run into shit. sounds average. Honestly i watch tv to escape, i don't need anymore reality than i've got. and the dumb people you say will be educated won't even watch it.
