It's amazing how many people are complaining that the people in the show are not perfect unlike 99% of the other crap on TV. It kinda makes you feel sick in the stomach really.

The people in that show aren't normal, they're ugly as hell.
And why the hell are they all so old, if this shit really happened some 60+ year old people would probably be the first to go.
why are all the women so damn ugly.
Oh hi guys we all have black stuff smeared on our faces cause you know thats what happens when the world ends
Fake and scripted is gonna make it suck =(
I watched it on Hulu and I found it quite interesting. Even though the maruders add more realism it is kind of stupid because they can't do anything but cause intimidation. Plus you also know that nobody is going to get hurt by the raiders so it takes away from the scare factor.
This show has a great concept but obviously they backed off the REAL good entertainment possibilities and went educational instead.
For instance, the last episode about security: Ordinarily I'd be on the side of people mad about them slacking off on fixing the security. But c'mon! There was NO reason to even care about security till then, I can't blame them for that. Showering, making shoes, making toilet paper- all that stuff was more immediate in need, more important.
If the show had started right, they'd have been more conscious of security. There needed to be some way for the maruaders to physically 'hurt' them in some way, maybe shooting paintballs at them(to simulate bullet wounds).
And how guys on loud ass motorcycles sneak up on them in the dead of night is beyond me. I guess in their post apocalyptic world, lots of people are randomly riding around on motorcycles, so hearing them all the time is normal.

Yea but what if one of them gets hit in the face and loses eyesight? I mean we are completely concerned about the test subjects safety so that they can't sue. And I wouldn't much enjoy watching them run around with paintball masks everytime they venture out.
