I'm no longer worried.
Even if its him trying to be funny, idk why they just can't put out good music for whatever fans like them. Just seems like a shitty thing to do to their fans.

What inconsiderate assholes they are for not making the same shit over and over just to please other people.
Yeah, how dare they make the music they want to make. What inconsiderate assholes they are for not making the same shit over and over just to please other people.
muse aren't struggling starving artists
muse aren't struggling starving artists
Err, sorry, I must've missed the part where I implied they were.
they aren't "doing their own thing," they're trying to top the charts. they suck and they're sell-outs
I'm not sure what to think. It didn't sound very good once the dubstep started to be honest. Yeah, they do, but do you remember the last album's new experiment? I think the majority of Muse fans stood a bit off. I still can't listen to it today.
Surprisingly, I love Undisclosed Desires, it's the rest of the Resistance that I really don't care for.
Eh, I'll listen to it when it comes out and make my judgments then. Doesn't sound promising though.
Seems that they've taken the same path with Korn. Though Korn's new album was decent.
lol paying a bunch of decent electronic music producers to feature in your songs does not make it good
Yeah, how dare they make the music they want to make. What inconsiderate assholes they are for not making the same shit over and over just to please other people.
that's not what I meant. -actually fuck it, people can do what they'd like-
I'm not sure what to think. It didn't sound very good once the dubstep started to be honest. While I'll agree that Resistance was not as good as the previous ones, that's probably because it was just them trying new things, and I like that. I loved Undisclosed Desires and while it was a step in a different direction it was still Muse. I think that the new album will be like that, and I'm excited to hear it.
Really? I liked Undisclosed Desires, was a nice change from Resistance and MKUltra.
I myself find Undisclosed Desires to be one of my most favorite songs, and I like whole of The Resistance. A band can't ever make everyone happy, and if they shift over tastes of different people, that's fine by me. If this has high amount of dubstep in it, I just won't listen to it. I still respect Muse for what they did earlier, and I will keep listening to the songs I like.
But that song you linked was pretty good
As a more pop song yeah but it's not the same muse some of us came to love and await with open embraces. Are these kinds of comments coming from those who enjoyed their works in the past, such as Origins of symmetry? I'm curious.
For instance, Metallica has one single album I like, and that's S&M, and I am still glad they made it. I also liked only earlier things done by Pendulum, and the later stuff not so much. Nothing a band did or will do invalidates it's future or past excellence. I sometimes find myself liking one single song and adding it to some mix directory, and not care the rest of their work makes me feel ill. Just try to happy for the people who got new band in their favorite kind of music, and enjoy their earlier works.
holy shit, most anticlimactic build-up ever
But that song you linked was pretty good
I suppose I might've been wrong making that statement. I made it out from what my friends told me back when The Resistance was released when we discussed the album, but it really lacks that Muse vibe in my opinion. It stood out really pop-ish from the rest of the album. I have been listening a lot to Muse since I posted here 7 hours ago, including that song a few times. My opinion might change, but who knows. Either way, I don't like the idea of Muse doing dubstep and I hope it's a joke.
they aren't "doing their own thing," they're trying to top the charts. they suck and they're sell-outs
Don't jump to conclusions. I'm a Muse fan but I'd completely agree with you if the album were just shitty dubstep, but I still remain skeptical also "I am a fucking retard please disregard all my posts"
if muse does take a step towards dubstep, i'm confident they'll change it up or otherwise do something fresh with it and my favorite muse songs include citizen erased and new born and i still think undisclosed desires is a good song, it's a refreshing step away from the otherwise "harder" sound the band has built for themselves, while still keeping that synthy, spacy sound that's become their trademark
If it's a 100% dubstep album, I will eat my hat. I imagine it'll be like what they've done before but with more emphasis on the electronic side of things.
I hope they don't do something dubstep-y because I want some new songs that I also happen to like, but if they do I can respect that it simply wouldn't be my kind of music, and I'll also be glad that they'll be trying something new that hopefully people will like. if it is dubstep and they've sold out, so long as people like it and Muse likes making it I'll be perfectly fine with this album. this new album may not be my kind of thing, and I may downright hate it, but it'll be good to see them experiment.
Fucking shit it is more FUCK THE SYSTEM bullshit
At least i can say i saw muse before their resistance album was released and before they started doing dubstep.
Oh god that trailer was embarrassing. I'm really hoping they're kidding and they keep wubstep out of their new album. Seriously, that was Skrillex level of bad.
Everyone should really cool their tits over this
Muse's fusion of progressive rock, glam, electronica, and Radiohead-influenced experimentation is crafted by guitarist/vocalist Matthew Bellamy,
They are a experimental band, they aren't confined putting out the same genre/whatever. Don't go bashing it just because it isn't what you've heard before or that it's something out of the ordinary. Wait for the album to come out, who knows it might surprise you. I'm a huge Muse fan myself aswell as a fan of a small bit of dubstep so I am generally excited to see what Matt will do with the genre.
what exactly are they experimenting with? i'm bashing it because the trailer is horribly silly and the music seems to be a complete cash-out, probably in the realization that they won't get stadium-size crowds without catering to that crowd. this brand of dubstep isn't a crate-diggers secret, it's probably one of the biggest and most popular genres in the consumer market right now. by that definition Madonna is also an experimental act.
obviously they're experimenting with dubstep right now
Absolutely hated the song in the trailer.
