So fucking hyped for this movie. I have been waiting for this for 13 years now, I'm glad it's finally happening.
with the poor record of remakes and reboots of the last years I wouldn't get too excited.
with the poor record of remakes and reboots of the last years I wouldn't get too excited.
Well, of course not, it's too early to tell. I'm remaining neutral until I watch it next year. [editline]25th November 2014[/editline] I mean, enthusiastic, but neutral at the same time.
I want this to be really fucking good. But I won't be disappointed if it's not. A couple of years ago I wouldn't have expected another Jurassic Park at all, so I'm just glad we're getting a chance at it being good, and if it's not, a movie with some more dinos eating people.

I'll take whatever I can get. It's win-win.
Trailer made me want to see it up until the genetically-modified-dinosaur thing...ehhhh
Trailer made me want to see it up until the genetically-modified-dinosaur thing...ehhhh
It's something that was hinted at in the previous movies and books. Why is it supposed to be bad?
It's something that was hinted at in the previous movies, why is it so bad?
I honestly haven't seen the previous movies in a long time so I can't remember what is mentioned about it. I think I just would've preferred a normal dinosaur or something, but it sounds like it's some perfectsupersaur

Basically it was hinted in the books and movies that the scientists would create new dinosaurs. The reason why this one is being created is simply because the park sees a decline in its visitor numbers.
with the poor record of remakes and reboots of the last years I wouldn't get too excited.
Well good thing this is just a long delayed sequel then [sp]with cast and locations from the first movie.[/sp] It looks interesting, but I don't know the director and from what I can see he's never made a film of this scale before, so it's gonna be interesting to see if it works out or not. I hope so, at least.
Ehh they should've gone with Patrick Wilson. I thought that's who it was at first but was sorely disappointed that it wasn't, he could easily nail this shit.
Hamster balls arent doing very well either, so whats your point
Here's my take on it. The spheres were only meant to be used around the more docile herbivores like the Brachiosaurus or similar dinos in the field in that scene. The hybrid got a hold of it.
Damn it! You fucked it up! You had a good thing going and you damn dirty apes had to go and fuck with the genetics! You fools!
I don't understand why any scientist would think it's a good idea to make a super intelligent predator instead of just making a bunch of really cool but harmless herbivores. I hope the reasoning is explained in the film because it will bug me if the first thing they decide to create is the ultimate killing machine.

I think they may have said the same for the T-Rex in the first or second book.
should have been Matthew McConaughey isntead of Chris Pratt
should have been Matthew McConaughey isntead of Chris Pratt
I think the problem is it shouldn't be a relatively young actor known for being funny.
it's so amazing to see the park fully done up and open. it's such a cool feeling. i think it's something everyone who's ever seen the original film has always dreamed of the rest looks so dubious though. i can imagine loving the first 30 minutes of this film and cringing throughout the rest
To have it fully operational is a good twist, even if I think Jurassic World on those famous gates looks dumb as hell (probably because I can already picture it being named that because of the InGen PR machine. Those bastards!) but I've got one question. How the fuck is it actually operational? They've even stated the previous films happened, so how on earth did they order everything?
I think the problem is it shouldn't be a relatively young actor known for being funny.
it was sarcasm. he is everywhere

I think it's lazy writing to just put it down to arrogance, if they have the ability to create genetically modified dinosaurs, why not make it super docile or a herbivore that just looks like a vicious killing machine? Hell, if it really needs to be a violent carnivore, just make 90% of it's body as sensitive as a human ballsack so if shit goes down you can take it out easily. It's not like the park goers would know any different.

There are other companies like this in the book and movie universe. Because this seems to be going off ideas mentioned in the books, there were a bunch of other very shady as fuck corporations interested in similar ideas, like Biosyn. The existence of what InGen did stayed hidden for the most part till Lost World and I assume InGen went belly up before of after Hammond died. New company acquires old InGen materials and some personnel and with advances in genetics get the animals to be more docile (I think). If this takes place in near future or present day, it would have been a full what 18 years since the San Diego incident? I guess advances in genetics (theoretical) and increase in interest over the prospect of a new park by the public. Maybe the company and others like it get a huge pr movement going to handwave the dangers because of said improvements. That's all just speculation though on my part.

The company is called Masrani. They have a nice little website here.
it was sarcasm. he is everywhere
Well I figured it was a joke, I was just piggy backing on it to bring up an opinion.

The raptors at the end of the trailer were working with the hero? What is diiis
So those raptors at the end are friendly?
100 percent friendly probably not. There was one raptor in the first book that seemed to not want to kill one of the kids. My memory is pretty fuzzy on it.
it'll be worse than jurassic park 3.
The raptors at the end of the trailer were working with the hero? What is diiis
They genetically spliced raptors with dogs, and then they brought Cesar Milan over to train them.
I'll hold off on predicting and I'll just see what people say on release. Not exactly filled with a huge amount of confidence at the moment. Going by the directors twitter, his heart seems to be in the right place at least. Extremely cautiously optimistic.
should have been Matthew McConaughey isntead of Chris Pratt
Nah, definitely Morgan Freeman
