I don't think that Lego figure does it any justice. Also this Ingen was going to be way more Umbrella corp than it is now.
I'd still like to see them go this way in the future, almost in to a body horror approach with it. Also, I will say that there were a couple of points in the trailer that just really resonated an "Alien" vibe with me. Namely in the scene with someone being drug backwards through the jungle, and the one with the leader chick standing in the doorway of the opening blast door with the flare. If they did a Jurassic Park styled after Alien, that would be badass actually. A lot of serious suspense and tension, never really quite knowing where the monster is, or even what it looks like. All these things would seriously make for a really enjoyable movie I feel.
I hope it features a skinny dude getting eaten on the shitter again. That was quality 90's writing.
This is one of the best scenes from the first Jurassic Park.
[sp]I think it's reasonable to say they'd be capable of reusing a lot of the land that didn't end up covered in demolished ruins, maybe something so simple as managing to push the raptor pack off onto a more isolated area and fencing them back in[/sp] also the hamsterball was goofy but it makes sense in a "ridiculously expensive luxury tour" kinda way. lets people get close, prevents people from getting out of the vehicle, and makes them feel like they're getting their obnoxious amount of money's worth out of the trip
I think the hamsterball makes sense, theme parks often have stupidly "state of the art" novelty things like that. I think the monorail at one of the Disneyland parks is a case of that.
I was thinking Liopleurodon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosasaur http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liopleurodon Edit: So apparantly you're right, they've found out the Liopleurodon was much shorter. I'm rusty when it comes to dinosaurs.
It looks like it was modeled off of liopleurodon. Looks like the one from walking with dinosaurs which was also grossly exaggerated in size. Not to be that guy but neither of those are dinosaurs [editline]26th November 2014[/editline]
I bet the hybrid is going to be some kind of Raptor-T-Rex Hybrid.
That would be kind of boring because I'm sure out of the thousands of theropod species that existed there is something that is similar to what you are thinking of that actually existed.
originally it was going to be dinosaur human hybrids. [t]http://i.imgur.com/6jYt3yE.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/VsNac0S.png[/t] http://imgur.com/a/ou5o6
These concepts should go into a Not-necessarily-Jurassica-Park-but somewhat-similar game. Like another Dino Crisis game or something new.
I think the worst part is it literally is a 'monster movie' as opposed to being about interacting with real(ish) animals outside of their own environment and era, which was the vision of the originals. I remember a review of the first movie Robert Ebert accused it of being a monster movie and I couldn't disagree more. Yeah they were tearing shit up and eating people, but they were wild animals acting on instinct. This is the exact opposite. They wanted to create something that never existed and had no natural predators and could kill the shit out of anything because "it would be cool".
Not to be that guy but neither of those are dinosaurs
Dinosaurs or giant sea creatures, they're both big and look the same.

It probably won't be a "good" movie, but I will still see it at the theater and enjoy it for what it is.
chris pratt looks absolutely terrible in this which is weird because i love chris pratt
chris pratt looks absolutely terrible in this which is weird because i love chris pratt
I think he gives off a very heavy "generic good looking hero white guy" vibe. You can tell by the few seconds in the trailer that this isn't going to be a smart, thought provoking, movie.
Saw this on Tumblr. Felt very relevant :v:
I'm glad the original cast isn't back. (Aside from B.D. Wong ofc) I'd rather have them stay out of this one than having them shoehorned in for no reason.
[sp]oh look it's a big fucking dumb looking t-rex hooray.[/sp]
[sp]dumb looking? The dinosaur looks cool as hell[/sp]
Chris Platt doesn't strike me as a Park Commandant type.
Is it just me or does it look like the raptors are being used as blood hounds/hunting dogs.
Chris Pratt, riding a bike, with a sword(?) on his back, with trained raptors running with him. I wasn't that interested until that 2 second scene at the end.
Is it just me or does it look like the raptors are being used as blood hounds/hunting dogs.
They are most likely being used to track down the new dinosaur. But there will be no good dinosaurs in this movie. Pratt's character must have found a way that they don't kill people immediately.

Chris Pratt's character was holding a rifle. Already smarter than the entire cast of The Lost World. Also this series' naming convention is FUCKED. Jurassic Park The Lost World: Jurassic Park Jurassic Park 3 Jurassic World
Is it just me or does it look like the raptors are being used as blood hounds/hunting dogs.
its just you

Jurassic Park The Lost World: Jurassic Park Jurassic Park 3 Jurassic World
Next one will be called - "The Lost Park: Jurassic World 2"
I would love to see the Dilophosaurus make a return in this movie.
Next one will be called - "The Lost Park: Jurassic World 2"
Mesozoic World
[t]http://i.imgur.com/VsNac0S.png[/t]
This one is really creepy, no soul in its eyes. That kind of creature would really turn the mood of the film a lot darker than your average jurassic park, i'm glad they didn't go that route but i'd still be curious to what it would be like.
Chris Pratt, riding a bike, with a sword(?) on his back, with trained raptors running with him. I wasn't that interested until that 2 second scene at the end.
there was a scene in the lost world (novel), where kelly was riding on abike with sarah, shooting at raptors to save the other child in the trip arby ( they got merged in the film) i feel that that scene is going to be very similar
The thing I'm hyped about the most is that this movie will probably have the highest kill count since the park is up and running. Woo Dinosaur Carnage! It's why I enjoyed Lost World the most, so many people with awesome death scenes.
I think they used Dr.Grants idea when he returned the eggs in JP3. Would explain some of it, right?
That's one of the theories, yea. Pratt's character researches their behaviour. He must have found some way to communicate with them.
Chris Pratt's character was holding a rifle. Already smarter than the entire cast of The Lost World. Also this series' naming convention is FUCKED. Jurassic Park The Lost World: Jurassic Park Jurassic Park 3 Jurassic World
JW restarts the franchise as the start for a new trilogy. It makes sense to not call it Jurassic Park 4.
it's a trailer
All the worse then. A trailer is supposed to show off the best bits the movie has to offer to get people interested. Not necessarily all the best scenes but if a movie is very CG heavy then they should show how good the CG looks.
A trailer is supposed to show off the best bits the movie has to offer to get people interested.
What the fuck. This would be the worst. This is exactly what most people hate about trailers nowadays. They show off too much. Trailers only need to spark some interest for the movie. If the movie shows the best bits, then there is no reason to see the movie.
