That's what I'm saying, though. It may just be a shot, but it's going straight into your blood without being metabolized first. If you were to inject one shot of vodka intravenously, it would kill you.

Okayokay. Let's get this straight. I'm saying that snorting even a little bit should mess you up because it is going straight into your blood unadulterated. The only reason I bring up the shooting liquid alcohol thing is to compare another form of alcohol going straight in your blood. Buttchugs is another good example.
So watching the video, the real use for powdered alcohol is to save weight by being able to get alcohol, provided you have water in other ways. So if you're out camping and can clean some water from a riverbank, you can mix it with powder, instead of having to carry around a bottle of heavier liquid.

Snorting the powder isn't going to mess you up like that, as the ammount of alcohol is so weak compared to the ammount of powder. In addition it takes about an hour.

Did you not watch the video in the OP? The powder is 12% alcohol by volume, 58% by weight. That means that compared to pure alcohol, the powder is over 8 times larger and almost twice as heavy! Not very efficient for transportation. I guess could be useful for mixed drinks (like a Cosmo), though.

Well.. The Palcohol that is for "everyone" has a lot of volume filler, simply to make it take up a lot more space, and to make it useless to snort.
Cutting down a couple of kg on several aircraft over several flights will probably save a lot of money, but it's not that big of a deal to most companies

I used to work in all inclusive hotels where they used this all the time for things like Vodka,Whiskey.etc to give the cheap stuff a kick.
Sadly it's also in Sainsburys own brand whisky and 2 weeks ago my dad passed away because of the stuff.
