story of my life

lol
This video is finger lickin' good.
This is really really good.
Also that guy was really cute in a weird way.
Especially his smile.

I like this.
I hate it when people tag me in a photo
no mum I didn't ask you to take a photo of me with a stupid expression on my face
but obviously I can't ask you to delete the photo, that would be awkward
He's right about everything but surely words like "LOL, ROFL, BRB, etc" aren't only caused by having a Facebook account. Nowadays, every form of communication EXCEPT face-to-face is filled with these words.
Brilliant vid though, Facebook sucks ass.
Cool video but I only use it to keep up with friends since I can't afford a cellular telephone.
Some reasonable point. I'll not stop using it for the simple reason that I'd most likely miss a lot of what goes on with regard to what goes on in terms of social things at home. At uni, I hardly have anyone on facebook, and really, it's easier this way, though it's mostly because I'm not more than three miles from anyone I'm likely to meet, and I can always drop round. Unless they're in Neyvern with their stupid locky doors.

He has a weary look, I quite like it, it's edging on disconcerting to me.
Are you homo?
Someone's not confident with their sexuality.
I like facebook, good for keeping in touch with friends away at school, and it's great for planing events and parties. I would never get rid of it.
Got an android phone, logged into facebook and my phone filled up with my friends numbers and emails.

Fapping to this makes you creepy?
You wank to something that unbelievably fake?
Wow
Saw this a couple minutes ago. The guy has a few points and he is defining a good majority of the Facebook population.
However, some people use it for business and to keep in touch with acquaintances. I'm on Facebook for maybe two minutes to check up on some friends to see if they're doing anything interesting today, to check my notifications, and that's it. I have a little over 200 "friends", but of course they're not all my friends. But there isn't exactly an "add as acquaintance" or "add as business contact" option, now is there?
He is right in the sense that a lot of Facebook users have seemed to let it rule their lives to the point where the mass drama starts affecting them. With myself, this isn't the case. Facebook "drama" or problems have never affected me to the point where I've wanted to delete my account or go on a hiatus. And while I respect this guy and his efforts to get the more "addicted" people off of something that is potentially harmful, he's being extremely general and isn't taking into account the various uses of a social networking site.
I made an account and then never visited it ever again.
You know, if you think in depth, maybe his appearance was supposed to be satirical. Comparing Facebook users that browse it constantly to drug addicts.
At least that's what I get. Or maybe he was just lazy as fuck and decided to throw on anything he had.
"i've been clean for 5 months and 17 days" nope. he's just dirty
Finger lickin' good

You added your mum on Facebook?
Yes, my mum uses Facebook - you say that like it's really strange.
Oh my god, if he licked his fingers one more time, I was gonna lose it.
Basically directed to the whorish girls that go on facebook all the time.
Also <3 would be eliminated.
Girls write that shit ON PAPER instead of writing an actual heart.
I don't have a facebook account.
But I'm not on facebook :saddowns:
Good thing I'm not addicted to Facebook. It's really pissing me off, when my sister doesn't do anything else than just browse Facebook THE WHOLE DAY
Yeah. I've seen people in my lectures who spend an hour browsing facebook. Like, I know classes are boring and all, but there's a ton of other things you could be doing rather than that. Hell, if all you were going to do was browse facebook, why come to class in the first place?
I'm gonna add him as a friend on facebook. Hes too cool to pass up.
Oh wait.
You know, what Zuckerburg created will never go away; at least not the format/structure. Facebook is so useful and drawn to that it is immbedded in the way society communicates. If for some reason Facebook becomes unpoplular for whatever reason, Zuckerburg could still sell the company/website and it would live on. Maybe not as "Facebook"; but whatever the new owner creates, it will still function in the same way by allowing IMing, messaging, photo sharing, etc. But the uncertainty would remain about whether people would change the habits mentioned in the video. Of course website design and such can affect the way people use it to a degree, but it still comes down to what people do.
The format of Facebook definitely is a factor to how people are socially. The way you can see who's with who, What a person is doing, what they've done, who are their friends...it all alter people's views of others, and what they do around them or their peers. Which can be either positive or negative. But what people display on their profiles can change people's views as well. A lot of it is subconciously done. Facebook by default will display the headings of most things even if they are not filled in, such as their "About me". This alone can give people the feeling that they need to fill something in. They need to display their relationship status. They need to share their info. But they don't. Facebook only requires your email, name, sex, and birthday. You don't need to friend request anyone. You don't need to do anything with it, but obviously that pretty much entirely defeats the purpose of having one. But do you get what I mean? People can hide a lot of their info from nonfriends and friends alike on Facebook, but most don't. Now, a lot of this stuff is good to have on file for opening up new possible connections. That's what Facebook sort of promotes. Connecting with new people.
What this video reminds me of is the negative notions that come from using a website that very easily allows people to find out things about you. But since I use Facebook for positive reasons, and have mostly positive results from being able to share my info as well as seeing other's, I kind of forget about the stupid shit. Even though it happens right in front of my eyes with some of my friends (as in on Facebook). People say pointless shit, blackmail each other, comment and/or like stuff that is personal and sensitive (such as someone breaking up and going single). I try and use common sense not to be too much of a creeper and not to get in to people's business too much.
After watching this video, I really didn't have any feelings of like "Yeah, I'm guilty of doing that. Now I'm sorta ashamed." Or "Yeah, I guess that's bad, but I'll just continue doing it anyways". I feel good about that. It means that I'm not contributing to the crap that people commonly do.

thanks captain obvious
I'd been considering deleting my account for the past month or so, and this gives me further incentive to do so. I don't even have 150 friends, but obviously no more than 5 of the people I have added are my ACTUAL friends who know who I actually am beyond whatever shit I put in my profile. Only reason I haven't deleted it is because it's one of the few ways I can communicate with those 5 few friends, or to keep in touch with them in the future since I'm going off to college this year and may not know how to reconnect with the people I want to keep in my life.
Aside from that aspect, however, this video has really got me thinking more about the influence Facebook has on each of its users' lives psychologically.
Even if you don't have a FB, people will still tag you in photos.
Despite the general depressing mood of the video, it made me happier for some reason.
Maybe seeing the guy smile so much :buddy:
Also, most of my direct friends have cell phones so once I get one, that's all I need. If the power goes out, I can't use facebook, but I can still text them.
I don't understand where he's getting at.
I'm more interesting than my Facebook, which is true, but the hell do I care?
It's easier to get a hold of people on and arrange events and keep track of other's lives.
I'm keeping my Facebook, and yes, I check it multiple times throughout the day. I actually have it open in another tab right now.
Why does it matter?
Just deactivated my account. :unsmith:

God you are dumb. When you are fapping you are doing it for pleasure. If it's fake, it won't matter if it's hot.
