That guy is really smart.
I like this guy. He's doing something nice pretty cool in South Korea, and also is trying to persuade people to find originality in their lives. Kind of a unique idea.
I'm keeping my account just so that I can use Facebook as a human search engine. Meeting some guy from Craigslist to sell your iPod touch? Better check what kind of person he is. Etc.
Watching this video almost makes me want to close my Facebook account, but I do use it to keep in touch with people from college since I prefer it over a phone and they refuse to get skype or steam.
I only got into FB because of getting dragged into it. My old friends were down there. However, for some reason, did not feel the same about fb, as soon as corporate america touched facebook, I am talking before the advertisements on the sides. I remember before those commercials on the sides, taco bell, I think was one of the first buisnessess I recall, social networking to guerilla market their food. When all these buisnesses got into it, I was like WTF, and it felt personal hiding hang out getting knocked down for commerical development. I actually have seen the real shopping mall shut its doors down, while all the buisnesses move into the social network to get to people instead. That, and bosses, professors, and big bro like to do stuff on there, like befriending spies, and compromising either corporate, or political international secrets. Not to mention, what happened to friendster? There were other sites. Its bad enough MySpace allows you to sink your facebook status to it, because they felt left out. Although, I seem to spend more time here, then both of those plus youtube combined. Oh yeah, has anyone seen that Craigslist killer drama yet? Up until that TV show, I did not think of that website that way, where predators trick you into meeting up, I see stuff like that occur alot in Playstation Home though.
Glad I don't have a facebook account.
I always thought Facebook was a breeding ground of stupidity. Although the use of acronyms and lack of proper grammar existed long before it, its these social networking shitholes that make it so wide-spread. What the fuck is wrong with proper language on the internet? People act like its such a hard thing to do.
Every single day my facebook is clogged up with shit like this. The video tempted me to delete my account, but I just moved and its the only to keep in touch with some of my old friends. It was actually completely right about only having 4 friends you would actually talk to for me.
i hate how people are overreacting on a slight rumor saying "Facebook is gonna shut down" That shows how stupid the majority of the people on facebook
i hate when people reply to everything with haha or lol even though its not funny.....pisses me right off
How does something minor like that piss you off... I don't think I'd want to cross paths with you in real life Someone's a sociopath...
None of the video applies to me, at all. Facebook to me is an easy, elaborate way of connecting with friends and makes setting up events much easier. I communicate with almost all of my 174 facebook friends, and it's an easy way of catching up with someone or staying in touch with a friend. For me, facebook was the only way to communicate with my friends at my previous school, and still is a pretty easy way as they live ~20 miles from my house. Facebook just makes life, well, easier.
I like his points, I wish I was in a better situation so I could delete Facebook. I just moved across the country, so I left all my friends behind. I've moved 6 times in my life. While I don't constantly keep in touch with old friends..I like to see how they are doing. Deleting Facebook would cut my ties with all of my old friends. If I had a handful of maybe 6-8 friends, all of whom I saw every few days, I'd stop using Facebook. I really agree with what this guy is getting at. I waste a lot of time on that site, and nothing productive ever comes from it. I'll admit that I judge people sometimes, I'll pay attention to relationships I shouldn't care for, and I get sick/tired of reading pointless updates I don't care for, yet I still go back on everyday to see what's new.
No acronyms, eh? Then what the hell was that "lol" at the end of her comment?
I have a feline that was rather well spotted. He's right here: But yeah I think you just pointed out the obvious IMO.
And why is he recording in China Town?
well if you paid attention he says he is an ENGLISH teacher in KOREA!
I deleted my Facebook within about 15 seconds of the video ending. It felt good.
