This whole thread is a mess.
First of all, if you want to have reasonable debates, resorting to appeals to emotion and ad hominem is not the right way to do it. Do you think calling people disgusting pieces of garbage that don't belong in society and all this other rubbish is going to make them understand your point of view? Of course not, it's just going to piss them off, and what's the point in that? What are you trying to make them understand? Offending the other person, either actively or passively, while at the same time wanting to have a reasonable debate is a paradox and just makes it look like you are desperate to have your opinion validated or something.

In my view, if we allow "normal" porn threads, whatever in the world that means because what constitutes "weird" porn is entirely subjective and if you disagree you are delusional, we should allow "weird" porn threads too. Because otherwise we are just encouraging elitism. Loli is illegal in the UK, and this is a UK forum supposedly, so you could ban that, even though trying to identify the age of a drawn character is rather silly, and in the end it's just squiggly lines formed to resemble a human. And the argument of 'if you like this drawn you like it in real life too' is really only blurted out by people with internet PHDs in psychology, when it actually varies by person. If someone is able to be turned on by real life porn but not by drawings, the opposite is just as plausible. And hell, I have a friend who likes gay porn... but only if it's furry porn. Otherwise it doesn't arouse him, even though both real and drawn girls are able to arouse him. I know a girl who likes Guro (anime gore porn basically) but doesn't actually want her boyfriend to cut her arm off or something. The human mind isn't as linear as you'd like it to be, your logic doesn't apply to everyone else.

So, I voted yes. [B]However[/B], if the poll was 'Should we allow porn threads?', I would have voted [B]no[/B]. Because I don't see why Facepunch needs porn threads at all. There is so much out there and it's so easy to find, both individual porn and compilations, that it makes having a thread on Facepunch about it rather pointless, and while I haven't actually ever visited one of those threads, I imagine it's just a big circlejerk of people approving of each other's tastes.
