Sure you could ban the ones that do that, but that's more work for the mods, and "what turns you on" is a good quarantine zone. Anyone remember voremeplz? On one hand, the porn thread is apparently getting really out of hand and needs to be strongly controlled or outright removed. On the other, removing the porn thread won't get rid of the users who posted in it, and they'll probably spill over to similar threads (e.g. deviantart thread) if it gets purged

I think you guys forget how facepunch gets more and more about other issues and less about gaming, because a shit load of us started here when we were kids, and here mainly for Gmod. Look at the gmod section now, there's a shitless people as compared to the old days. Its related because back then there wasn't such a thing as this except sex poses

I voted yes because I've never really been bothered by the weird threads. I've popped in once or twice to see what it's all about but I can't say I got anything more than a laugh out of it. After reading this thread and thinking about it for a while I've changed my mind a bit. I reckon it should be an all or nothing sort of thing, either get rid of all the nsfw threads or keep them all (as long as they aren't illegal). Personally I don't care which but considering there are plenty of other places on the internet to find this sort of shit, maybe the threads should go. Lewd avatars should definitely be bannable though, I hate browsing on the bus and having to quickly scroll past an anime girl flapping her knockers around so no one sees it over my shoulder.

Originally, I thought it wasn't an issue so I voted no, thinking that there's not so many minors on the forum. I always thought they stuck to the GMOD section, but apparently that's not the case, and as Cheeseman pointed out, they do come and do go to the other forums including those threads in question. Since that's the case I find it troublesome to keep it, and rescind my yes vote to a no. Even though minors will keep looking for porn, I don't think facepunch needs to be one of those places.
