The reasons the WTYOTM thread to go down in my opinion are:
-It is way too easily accessible for younger users such as myself (hypocritical of me to say, but from an ethical standpoint, it's true. That would also mean the DeviantArt Appreciation Station should go down too, or at least have more rules because there's the occasional uncensored and usually disgusting DeviantArt porn.)
-It is a risky thread due to the potential for completely immoral content such as loli or bestiality
-facepunch doesn't want to be associated with threads like that
-facepunch isn't for porn( Which is true in a sense), and there are other sites to get porn on(despite the purpose of the thread being to discuss other facepuncher's lewd interests in a mostly civilized, something not seen on other sites)
-Mods won't have to deal with this shit.

The only reason I can see to keep the WTYOTM thread is:
-It's a niche thread
-People can simply avoid and ignore that thread

I agree to a point, but you also have to remember that a lot of furries don't imagine themselves as humans doing this, they imagine themselves as an anthropomorphic animal.

Wait, I need to clarify what your saying here. Ferals (4 leg characters) are definitely a bestiality area, but do you mean the characters that are proportioned the same as a human but with an animal face/fur are still bestiality?
Because if that's your line of thinking then what do you think of Mass Effect? Because multiple species you can romance in that game are about as similar to humans as anthro furries are, if not more different because they give them varied body types and such?
