The problem with WTYO is the same problem with the weirdest boner thread and all its past incarnations; any "weird porn" thread is just inevitably going to get some creep who posts illegal bullshit. It doesn't matter if most of the stuff there isn't illegal, all it takes is that one guy to ruin it for everyone.
It would be better for everyone if we just kept this shit off the forum in the first place. If you want to discuss and share freaky fetish porn, just find a website dedicated to it.

If anything it's just causing more controversy than it's worth.
I still think it would be much more work for the mods to decide what is normal porn and what is fetish porn. It's not like it is as clearly defined as what is illegal, it's much more subjective. They should just ban all the porn and be done with it.

If the WTYO community really is tight-knit and enjoys discussing whatever it is they discuss, there's nothing stopping them from making a tumblr or steam group or something.
The fact that Facepunch is becoming a more ... legitimate developer/publisher company with shit like Rust, Space Cunts, and Before means we really should make an effort to keep the forums clean. I'd hate to see anyone's careers hurt because of some weird bullshit kept in the darkest corners of the forum.

I'm pretty sure that one of the reasons that they want the thread here is precisely because that isn't the sort of discussion that goes on in there.
