the way i see it is that a forum is a place of public discussion, groups of people can discuss what they like in their own section where no-one else has to go to unless they choose to do so. i personally do not see why they should be stopped from doing this because some people don't like what they find inside the thread that is clearly labelled to show what it contains. in cases like the "what turns you on" thread people should know that obviously, a range of things will be found within there because not everyone has the same taste, complaining because you don't like something in a thread about opinions is frankly really stupid. i think the concept of that thread is kind of strange, but i see no problem with people going there and sharing their thingies if that's what they wish to do.

Even as someone who would either see it stay or ditch all NSFW content and not just pat-backs over ditching WTYO - there are issues with keeping it. - Illegal shit gets posted. - Mods literally don't want to deal with it. - People in the thread don't report stuff as they should. It was a great time. If you made a really long post with a lot of text, facepunch would auto-snip it, but not before checking it for smartness. As a result, people would copy and paste things with a whole lot of spelling errors (like a webpage source), Lose all their smartness, the post would get snipped, and you'd have a guy smartness banned for a blank post. [editline]18th October 2014[/editline] also things like "snigger" would you get banned, because it contains a swear.
