I'm not interested in keeping that thread alive, by I merely wished to state that If there is a thread on facepunch, whether it be drugs, guns, games, porn, art, or those post farming "above user threads," people should have the right to go on there and discuss it if it's there, and if they don't want to, then stay away from it.

I would like to think I have been trying to do that, but we've got some really sneaky elements trying to derail all the posts I make that (also like to think) have been about as clear-headed and warranted as this topic deserves! Which I think is personally fair, since if I had my way all these creepoes would be permabanned. But I am aware this is a new FP, and that discourse is the way to solving this long-running issue.

The problem is these guys keep shifting the freakin' goalposts! Look at KillerJaguar up there, then Deadoon who first asked for proof that someone posted cub porn (which I had mistakenly labeled toddlercon because, again, I am not a furry/hentai historiographer), then shifted the goalposts by saying that didn't count; after I posted the artist saying that he does indeed make shota/cub porn, and tags on the image specifically saying there was an 'age difference', that the character was 'young' and a 'cub', he hasn't posted since!

This is a dumb post because this sort of thing happens all the time and yet we still get hundreds of posts just like yours asking people to "be civil" and "stop flaming" that contribute just as much as those you're denouncing (i.e. fucking nothing). I'm not saying whether they should or shouldn't, I'm just pointing out that the majority of people have kept their posting within the established rules and laws, and most of the infractions that've currently gone unpunished have been unintentional ones. Contrary to what people here seem to think, that thread isn't some sort of conspiracy to turn FP into a hub for kiddie porn. Pretty much the only time the content of the thread has even come up outside of it have been threads of this nature with everyone else clamoring to burn them at the stake for defending themselves.

So then why have an open debate if various other members only ruin it and inhibit a constructive debate to occur. I wouldn't say the post i mad was fluff and genuinely feel it contributes something as it eliminates the mass amount of flaming and other broken rules which are completely common place in the thread at the moment. What i offered is a solution, albeit an unfortunate solution as others have demonstrated that we can not have a debate and have ruined the possibility. This renders the debate taking place moot.
