I don't really think there are any english or british people that I percieve as a hero, perhaps John Milton or Oliver Cromwell, but Cromwell's reign was short lived.
he should portray a modern scotsman, who is obese, smokes 100 a day, drinks alcohol every hour, addicted to heroine and has a life expectancy of 40
Don't forget the boiled sweets and porridge lad. To us Cromwell was a genocidal monster, funny how history differs from place to place.
cromwell's great, he sorted out the fucking monarchy and during his time we had a very prosperous time
Maybe so for you, but over here he was responsible for half a million deaths, and other horrible things.
Michiel de Ruyter.
cromwell's great, he sorted out the fucking monarchy and during his time we had a very prosperous time
At the same time he was outright genocidal towards Catholics, and ended up becoming a virtual dictator. Which, given the reasons why he had the king executed, is somewhat bitterly humourous.
i say what i say in the knowledge of him being a real dictator, not just a virtual dictator

Winston Churchill wasn't the best leader in the world.
3. Winston Churchil
That man was a dickhead. The only people who think he was a good guy are those who have only seen his face on posters and heard him say "urarhgg we'll faight derm on tha beasches". Just look at his real political past instead of the superficial Second World War stuff. A drunken, misogynist career politician who sent thousands of soldiers to their deaths in the First World War and wrecked the British economy in the 1920s.
Winston Churchill wasn't the best leader in the world.
I really don't care what you think :v:
I really don't care what you think :v:
Well okay then keep worshipping your fat retard of a hero.

This thread is about your hereos, I listed mine. Winston Churchil was a great motivator of people and a great stategist. I suppose you look up to Stalin and Himmler.
great stategist
No he wasn't. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallipoli_Campaign
Where are you from? StalinLand? read a goddamn book, ok?
I'm British you moron and I've read "goddamn" books - hence why I know of Churchill's failed political career and you don't.
The only reason we did well during World War 2 is because we had a coalition government, stop thinking Churchill was good.
Where are you from? StalinLand? read a goddamn book, ok? Churchil was one of Britains greatest leaders!
Churchil was one of Britains greatest leaders! I wish we had somebody like him incharge right now. :saddowns:
Ah yes! I know who we need in charge right now in this fragile economic climate - THE MAN WHO RUINED BRITAIN'S ECONOMY IN THE 1920s! SUPERB PLAN THERE, SIR!

Please, he was Liberal before that - he just flicked between whichever party was in power so that he could advance his own pitiful quest for fame and glory. That man had no morals, no opinions - only an ego.
Good for you :D you googled something... quit derailing the thread. Regardless, I have known of the failure of the Galipolli campaign for about 4 years now. Shit mate, you learn that crap at GCSE History. Simple stuff.
