Umm those things are proven to hurt people.
Unlike inhaling a few parts per million of second hand smoke.
Or do you have evidence nobody else does?
wow this is more harsh than smoking laws and bans in europe O_O
Where's the evidence that cigarette smoke hurts people who walk by it outside?
Also I love how they act like little bitches when it comes to their health, and then pretend that they don't or can't just block their nose when they walk passed a smoker. That's an elegant solution. You get to keep your reputation as a snotty, judgmental asshole and you don't "risk your health".
Getting the occasional whiff of over 2000 chemicals isn't going to cause any damage at all, nope.
Cigs need to be banned all together, no smoking anywhere.
I think it's an indirect way for people to not smoke while standing next to someone else that prefers to not have smoke blown near their face.
I can't believe this is happening frankly, but hopefully this would decrease smoking in general.
I hate smoking, so I'm biased in that area.
Agreed, it shits me to tears when I get smoke in my face from some guy walking past smoking...
If we didn't have bans we'd probably be drinking water from lead pipes in asbestos insulated houses.
Did you really just compare the wholesomeness of an entire city's water supply to outright banning of individual rights?
NICE BRO NICE YOU GOT ME THERE LOOKS LIKE I LOST

So, we're being forced to block our noses when we shouldn't have to? What?
So, we're being forced to block our noses when we shouldn't have to? What?
I am allergic to flowers, can we ban them too?
So, we're being forced to block our noses when we shouldn't have to? What?
Nobody's forcing you to. If you're sensitive to smoke you should, though, so your senses don't get offended. That's your responsibility. The same way it's my responsibility when I encounter the same kind of thing.

Not everyone who hates smoking is sensitive to the smoke, it's just fucking annoying.

So deal with it.
I would, because I'm an adult.

The world is not built around you, tran. Get used to it.

The world is not built around smokers either, so they can deal with it.

Nah, let's just ban children, it'd be easier.
Or you could just stay out of my fucking business. Wanna save something? Go to the Middle East. Otherwise, walk on by and stfu!
I don't smoke and neither I want to, but this sounds ridiculous. Somking outside doesn't really hurt anybody.
The world is not built around smokers either, so they can deal with it.
You're really saying we should ban anything that anyone finds disgusting? And then everyone affected should just deal with it?
Holy shit.
Or you could just stay out of my fucking business. Wanna save something? Go to the Middle East. Otherwise, walk on by and stfu!
^99.9% of smokers.
You're really saying we should ban anything that anyone finds disgusting? And then everyone affected should just deal with it?

Sure, that's exactly what I said.
Sure, that's exactly what I said.
well then i can't help you
^99.9% of smokers.
I don't smoke. I am just real big into people not controlling choices others make. Not to mention the fucking history of tobacco in this country. They fucking drugged people without them knowing it. You want to do something? Take on the tobacco industry. Not the fucking drugged people. Or how about the banking industry that ruined the economy while NO ONE went to jail. Nah. Let's go after the smokers.

When people see others smoking they could be enticed to smoke because they see others doing it.
It's monkey see monkey do, the act of smoking is causing the real damage.
The second hand smoke itself isn't doing any real harm outside though.

How the fuck are we supposed to take on the tobacco industry? No governor is going to say "Tobacco products are banned in this state"

Do you think you're going to become a morbidly obese food addicted fat guy by seeing some fat fuck getting 20 cheeseburgers at a McDonald's drive-thru?
Come on man.
No smoking here, and now no smoking there.
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSHHHHHHH!
Do you think you're going to become a morbidly obese food addicted fat guy by seeing some fat fuck getting 20 cheeseburgers at a McDonald's drive-thru?

I aspire to eat 20 cheeseburgers at a McDonalds drive-thru, so... possibly?
Don't like people smoking outside? Why don't you go stand on the other side of the fucking street?
Don't like people smoking outside? Why don't you go stand on the other side of the fucking street?
I don't feel like doing shit for a smoker.
Then why should they do things for you?
I don't feel like doing shit for a smoker.
Well I don't feel like doing shit for someone who demonizes me for no good reason, so we're even.
Carry on with your life.
Don't like people smoking outside? Why don't you go stand on the other side of the fucking street?
Your point is NOT valid, I can easily reply "why don't you fucking stop smoking near me?"...
Just because the non-smoker's the one with the problem doesn't mean shit.
If you want to second your addiction to smoke, at least do it with some reasonable arguments.
