Violent video games promote sedentary lifestyle and serve no purpose but to entertain let's ban them all.
Lets organize a mass banning regime. :eng101:
Ban tobacco or legalize all drugs that only affect the individual. That tobacco is legal while less harmful drugs are illegal is a huge hypocrisy.
I'm okay with this, since I don't smoke
Ban tobacco or legalize all drugs that only affect the individual. That tobacco is legal while less harmful drugs are illegal is a huge hypocrisy.
Pretty sure most narcotics are more harmful than tobacco. Weed yeah but I can't think of anything else.
I like how she said the people voted, No. The representatives voted that don't acutally speak to the people and lied about what they support when elections came around. I did not see one flyer or call come to my house saying what do you think?
Is there any evidence to suggest a significant amount of damage is done by second hand smoke outside? As far as i'm aware of there isn't any this this law is devoid of any meaning.

Between 70% and 90% of non-smokers in the American population, children and adults, are regularly exposed to secondhand smoke. It is estimated that only 15% of cigarette smoke gets inhaled by the smoker. The remaining 85% lingers in the air for everyone to breathe. If a person spends more than two hours in a room where someone is smoking, the nonsmoker inhales the equivalent of four cigarettes. Secondhand smoke is the third leading preventable cause of disability and early death (after active smoking and alcohol) in the United States. For every eight smokers who die from smoking, one innocent bystander dies from secondhand smoke.
source: http://www1.umn.edu/perio/tobacco/secondhandsmoke.html
Typical smoker confronted with his/her addiction. Soda hydrates you.
No, soda dehydrates you. A typical serving of Coke has like 100mg of sodium. That's like drinking a pizza. The reason you don't notice it is because they hide the taste by adding tons high fructose corn syrup, the sweetest edible sugar I believe (also the cheapest).
source: http://www1.umn.edu/perio/tobacco/secondhandsmoke.html
We're talking about outside here. I highly doubt secondhand smoke can even effect somebody out on the street or in a park especially with the wind blowing.
I give a shit when I'm walking on the sidewalk and catch the smell of cigarettes from people smoking right outside of a building.
I don't think 0.3 seconds of nasal discomfort will make your life much worse. I like the smell of it anyway.
We're talking about outside here. I highly doubt secondhand smoke can even effect somebody out on the street or in a park especially with the wind blowing.

Now, Stanford University researchers have conducted the first in-depth study on how smoking affects air quality at sidewalk cafés, park benches and other outdoor locations. Writing in the May issue of the Journal of the Air and Waste Management Association (JAWMA), the Stanford team concluded that a non-smoker sitting a few feet downwind from a smoldering cigarette is likely to be exposed to substantial levels of contaminated air for brief periods of time.
source: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/05/070502181454.htm just keepin' them honest
I hate smokers but this is pushing it too far... Really people should be allowed to smoke outside.
deal with it smokers edit: if someone drinks a lot of soda near me i don't get fat too
I don't know about you guys but I don't want cancer for breathing the smoke. It's like poisoning everybody around you. Smoking should be made completely illegal in my opinion.
Not everyone who hates smoking is sensitive to the smoke, it's just fucking annoying.
act like an adult and deal with it. It's not that hard to avoid people who are smoking, unless they follow you around for some reason.
I'm in favor of this no matter how many dumbs I get rated. Like the lady said on the video. I made the choice not to slowly kill myself. So I shouldn't be harmed by your stupid choice to slowly commit suicide. And its not like you can effectively avoid them. They are EVERYWHERE mostly right outside the enterances to stores or other buildings. And don't even get my started when they smoke in the car throwing their ashes out the window, then my whole car starts to stink like shit. I don't think they understand how smoke works or they just don't give a fuck about other peoples health.
No it doesn't.
You bet your ass it does. I drink it every weekend and when I do, I feel great.
You let people smoke in your car...
I blatantly meant about when they are driving in front of me.

Good, fantastic, wonderful. I hate smoking so much, it's disgusting and unpleasant for everyone else who doesn't do it, not to mention harmful side effects.
Oh my god, how am i supposed to to put on these socks? They are too tight.

Okay, I'm completely against smoking, but banning it outside? Really? Indoors I can understand, but outside?
Well Americans have always been a bunch of fucked up twats so this was just a matter of time.
I honestly can't believe FP's response to this. I'm seeing sweeping generalizations and overreactions all over this thread. What happened to FP being about personal liberties?
Like hell. The exhaust from cars kill people in minutes not decades.
oh yeah because walking on the sidewalk of a busy road makes you keel over and die instantly
