Why didn't you just take off running? Bikers are not known for running.
Because there was a crowd supporting him [editline]11th October 2014[/editline] And what part of the whole biker stereotype makes any implication about their speed on foot?
Where do i send this "Extraordinary Human being"-Medal to?
CubeManv2 is an aspiring politician. He wouldn't have made his offer if he wasn't.
Even though saving the dog was good, I hate people like you, and I'll side with the other dude.
What in the hell is this supposed to mean? I think it's trying to communicate guys.
OP is the man among men. A true motherfucking boss that saved a dog from the brink of death. Can probably catch a bullet with his teeth as well.
Faith in humanity restored. Thanks mate.
What in the hell is this supposed to mean? I think it's trying to communicate guys.
Not funny. You're late and it's already been explained for those who take things without consideration to perspective. Read:
I think what he's getting at is that while potentially saving the dogs life is undeniably a good thing, OP taking it upon himself to destroy personal property and kind of play the part of the hero is where the flaw lies. Most likely, he would have suggested that OP should have navigated the proper channels to save the dog rather than do it himself. This isn't my opinion, this is my interpretation of UncouthJungle's.
this sounds like those suicidal people who sue police officers for rescuing them from committing suicide
RIP Korova
Whatever, I won't change my opinion.
In the UK I'm pretty sure everyone would be on the side of the guy who just saved a dog's life, not the guy who's whining despite putting his dog in danger by leaving them in a hot car. Don't want your window broken? Don't leave a animal in danger of dying from overheating.
Whatever, I won't change my opinion.
You weird sociopath
You DID break the guys window, to give a dog some water. It was a hot day and dogs pant quite a bit. Was the dog still conscious? In one sense, yes you are right to save the dog, but in another you broke someones property which in 'merica is held above all. Anyway I hope you get off scott free because Fp comradeship and I like helpful anarchists..
but in another you broke someones property which in 'merica is held above all.
No it's not.
It is human instinct to help another living being in distress/trouble. A person should be able to help almost any living creature, what ever they can do in their power without or little hesitation. What you did what was right, and you are a man among men in today's society. Although you did smash his window, (which is technically destroying his property) he should be charged with animal cruelty for keeping his own dog locked up in a hot car with no ventilation, and assuming he had no water, (since you did say you gave him water in the bowl after you smashed the window) that can potentially add to his own case. I am astonished that he had the BALLS to press charges against you when he knows or should know locking up a dog in a hot car is similar to/almost like locking up a child in a hot car.
No it's not.
A majority of our core principles revolve around the concept of protecting your property, hypothetical or not
A majority of our core principles revolve around the concept of protecting your property, hypothetical or not
Yeah. Protecting your property. Not "property in America is held above all." There's a significant difference.
A majority of our core principles revolve around the concept of protecting your property, hypothetical or not
And just because you own the dog that is residing inside the car (your property) doesnt mean you have a say in it dying/being in distress. Its an exception in this case and Im glad someone for once didnt think twice about helping an animal.
If you saved the dogs life, you did the right thing, even if you do get sued. No doubt about it. Good job.
Someone give this guy a gold membership.
The guy comes up to me and says "You're going to pay for that you little shit, I'm making sure of it" and I tell him "Good luck, we'll see how fast the jury tells you to fuck off" and I left it at that. ?
Best response you could've said. Fucking boss
Someone give this guy a gold membership.
Yeah guys, let's do it! [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/KPg3ByS.jpg[/img_thumb]
This is legal in Finland afaik
This is legal in Finland afaik
He's in America.
Any updates?
Yeah guys, let's do it! [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/KPg3ByS.jpg[/img_thumb]
It was all a ploy to get Gold Membership purchasing back!
Well, the guy is clearly an idiot. Either that or he doesn't like his dog too well. Either way, you did a good job saving that dog.
It reminds me of a Lois & Clark episode where Superman saves a guy's life but got sued, because he was flying so fast that he broke the guy's arm while grabbing him. :v:
Better that than be Spiderman and Gwen, you feel me?
Please follow up.
You might have to pay for the damage, you might not. It's really going to come down to who argues the case better, just like a lot of bullshit, and what mood the Judge is in, whether you were right or wrong since different states have different laws. It's legal if it's a child, it's arguable if it's an animal. You're not going to see a jury, though. It's small claims, have fun with that zoo. You'll probably sit there for 3 hours listening to people come up, one after another, arguing their case, then when it's your turn you go up, say what you have to say and show the video if you have it, and you'll probably be sided with and not have to pay anything, and be dismissed within 2 minutes If the case is arguable one way or the other in these cases, the judge will usually side with just common sense I've only been to court once as a child. I was late for school every day and the school took it to court because the schools in the USA are cunts. The reason I was late every day is because my father, who was a cop in the city, worked midnights, and didn't get home from his shift in time a lot thanks to rush hour traffic to get me to school on time. So we go walking into court, father in uniform still, sit down for an hour, the case gets called up. Father explained the reason, Judge smirked and dismissed it. I was in front of the judge for no shit less than 1 minute. The irony is I had to miss a day of school for it
