107mm rockets man. A few got fired at us from Pakistan. The scary part is that when rockets get to full speed, the fire finder radar does not pick them up because they are going too fast, and therefore does not set off the incoming alarm. All you can do is hope you hear the big WHOOSH of the rocket. If you hear anything from incoming fire, it means you are safe. If you do not hear anything, you are right in the impact zone and you have a split second to make peace with everything before getting blown up. Rockets are awful weapons and scary as all shit. These civilians don't even have a fire finder radar to alert them to launches and incoming munitions. I feel terrible for them.
Holy shit you can see the warhead
I'm sorry, but that car alarm in the distance kind of made me chuckle. The loss is terrible, these are people dying, but the sound the car made after it was all over just seemed like something from a comedy movie.
uh
how
Holy shit you can see the warhead
yeah its like in all conflicts before there was this shitty low quality cell phone footage with a fps of like 3
while now we get full hd 60 fps footage of the horrible shit going on
also mind you, this is done in residential areas, not just some wasteland fields
imagine some heavy populated western suburb/city center getting demolished like this.
If this is the power a relatively third-world country has, than I can't imagine the amount of deaths something like Russia vs China or USA vs UK would cause. (Not saying that either situation is even remotely possible, but just using it as an example.)
I'm pretty sure some poo came out.
I want to know this a swell.
On one level it's a big middle finger to the US and the West basically telling them that they will not control where the world is going and can not police them like we did with Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan. On another it's because Russia sells them tons of weapons and China is their main source of Import, Syria falling to the rebels would suck economically for both of them.

The Syrian government is hardly what you'd consider "third world" in terms of tech. Since they have a large amount of wealth they can afford to purchase an arsenal from Russia. Hell they've even got chemical weapons, which the UN is just waiting for them to use (although they hopefully and probably won't) so that they can intervene. What the populace has is another story of course but for a middle eastern country they're not too bad off.
I like how after the 5th or 6th one he decides it would be good to go inside.

Just the sound of the car in the distance. I'm not used to hearing that particular type of alarm, so it's kind of funny to me. It's not the bombings themselves that are funny to me, I'm not that fucking insane.
Why is Russia and China even helping him? Like what does he have to give them?
I'm guessing it's because they have trade relations and arms deals. They both maybe investors in Syria's oil industry.
Russia also has a naval base in Syria.

im pretty sure that the naval base in syria is the last real russian base outside of their normal sphere of influence, it is very important for them to keep Assad in control.

It's insane to see it on camera
I feel so fucking lucky I don't have to live it first hand.
