He changed his title to VAG Lover 7 months ago, that isn't very sudden
Because of his AUDI
Is there a problem with that?
I don't even follow... I cant tell if YOU have a sudden VW fetish or I have a sudden VW fetish. [editline]8th December 2012[/editline]
Because of his AUDI
Yo I've had the Audi for 2 years now...... So its not because of the Audi :P
So in the past few weeks I decided I was going to look for cars with a 5-speed (as a first car) since it's looking like I'm going to be able to get used to it before actually buying a car with one. I'm planning on saving around $5000 and I'm mostly looking at Hondas. Still can't decide on Civic or Accord, though I'm trying to stay at or past '99. I'm also thinking of cars that are RWD, though I'm not really sure what would be out there at that price range that would be reliable (or cheaply repairable/serviceable) and Japanese. I also might be able to go to an auction with somebody that has a dealer license, so I might be able to find some newer cars in that price range, so if anyone has got any ideas on what I might run into at something like that, I'd appreciate it.
I know a guy who is going to sell an RB20DET Swapped S13 (Nissan 240sx) in that price range. For anything from Japan RWD 99+ Well, off the top of my head you have the RX8, MR2S, S2K and the 350z, where none of them you will get for 5 grand.
Hey, im single now. I can afford more go-fast stuff for my not running car!
Anyone know what kinda engines I can put in a Nissan Altima? I wanna make it quicker and am willing to swap engines. It's not something I'm going to do soon, and I'll have someone do it for me (or at least assist me with it). Just want a general idea of what I can put in there that's better than the i-4 already in there, the pros and cons, etc.
I imagine a VQ would work out; same engine as what you'd find in 350z's and G35's, they're in a lot of Nissans/Infinitis, and were even in the V6 version of the Altima.
Yeah after a bit of research seems like VQ35DE is the way to go. Might as well just buy myself an Altima SE-R though, would be cheaper than an engine swap on my current Altima:v: [editline]8th December 2012[/editline] Looks like i know what my next car is going to be :v:

non Automotive related but I put my 4870 to rest (Probably temp) now using a 7870. That 4870 has been oc'd to 790/1005 for 4 years straight with fan running at 50% for 4 years straight. (24/7) Let it take some well needed rest
Only December and already plugging the car in. -12F with a -28F Windchill. Fuckin colddd!

Yuck. VGs were shit and throwing some OHC at them doesn't make them less shit. You could always do an SR20 swap or boost the KA. The VQ is heavy and you'll only kind of be happy with the torque. If you use the KA24 diff housing on the SR20 tranny, all you have to do is a little work on the rear mount bracket, the rest you just use stock mounts and it bolts right in. Harness would just be a sentra harness (since that's what you'd have to get the SR20DE out of unless you import some FWD SR20). A lot of people say it's a pain in the ass, but I'm going to assume they've never done a swap before because that's far less work than I'm having to do to my little Civic to bolt an F22 into it.
Dealer conversion wrangler pickup, kinda cool but the wrangler front looks kinda meh on there. More pics-> http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f9/2013-jeep-pickup-156476/#post2171143

Lighter, cheaper bolt-ons, readily available forced induction kits, along with better fuel economy and just street cred compared to the VQ or KA-T. In stock form it's only slightly better than the KA but it takes very well to bolt-ons. You could just find you a Sentra SE-R and have an SR20 from stock. The Sentra-based 90s 200SX also had an SR20. My favorite SR20 powered box is the B13 SE-R. Very plain looking, you wouldn't think the legendary Nissan lump is under the hood of this box:
how about pulsar gti-r
ugh that sounds like work Just kidding, I'll keep that in mind. what are the benefits of an SR20 over the QR25DE I have right now?
Sell Altima. Use money to buy 300zx/S13/S14 with good engine already Or buy 200sx/Sentra like Bradley said. Or be cool and buy a 90's Maxima and do a swap
how about pulsar gti-r
This is 'murrica. :( We only got the NX, the CA18 powered one.
