I'd love to pick up an early 80's Foxbody as a side project, the 5.0 makes decent power and they sound absolutely amazing. I've always enjoyed the looks of the boxy 80's Mustang, most of my friends hate it but I find them unique.
I love my Foxbody. <3
Two days ago we were on grass. Yesterday we had 3" of snow, today was hell. Had to shovel the whole driveway, two times, and each time there was at least between 6 inches and 3 feet of snow. Total 4hrs to clear the driveway today. Just got in from shoveling it a second time and a half, had to go back out to shovel the entrance since the Grader passed in the street after I got done shoveling a second time. :v: At least I built walls around my cars.
So I went with solid engine mounts. Also got OEM freeze plugs for the block. Only things left to do now is to get flywheel balanced/resurfaced. Crank balanced and measured. New main and rod bearings as well as the bolts. Piston rings. Getting close. I'm broke again
I'm in the same boat, I also need a new alternator and radiator.

Had 13 driving lessons so far (UK) and I'm still completely shit. I'm so bad that after every lesson I go home feeling like shit and it's really upsetting me. I seem to get everything horribly wrong and not look while I'm at it, total lost case. Thinking of jacking it in, I'm currently paying 20-odd quid a week to get overly stressed and upset.
How bad are you, though? I keep doing stuff wrong when I've got lessons, but I keep thinking about what I've done wrong, and how I can improve, and I seem to improve between lessons as well.

even though I am sad about the car bein' chopped up, that has to be the most magnificent bed and table I have ever seen.
It's a shame but that rear end is so nice to look at.

Maybe I should try a different instructor?
It should be on the ITV player, providing it's still on ITV, the actual revival was months ago though
I wanted to watch all of it, but it seems to be on Friday again. Both the Festival of Speed and Revival.
The front and rear fenders of the Capri have more flare to them than the stock Mustang fenders. '83 and up also have a "bubble butt" which I don't care for, but fuck's sake I love the Capri nose. And I am by no means a Ford guy.
I looked at the pictures, and if that's what they call flared fenders, then...I just don't know.
It's more of a shouldered fender than a flared fender, so yeah.
Instructor has to use his brake multiple times per lesson, no real improvement. Maybe I should try a different instructor?
It's not the instructor; its you buddy. Take the criticism well and learn from it. Study hard. Practice driving in a parking lot to get a feel of what a car is. Follow directions and learn your local laws. There is a reason the instructor won't let you pass and is the logical decision for your safety and the other drivers around you
oh baby, the 4x4 started to work again in my Blazer. I am still running out to the junkyard to pick up some spare parts though... never know when this shit will break.

yeah you do, not buying the 99 blazer
Had some honda come in, one of the tires was at 4 psi and it was supposed to be at 32. Told the customer, he said it had a slow leak in it and he didn't really care for it much... >:| 10 minutes later, had the same exact model and generation honda come in with a tire also at 4 psi :v:
4psi? isn't that undriveable for the tire?
I thought the same, until today. Working at a quick lube shop teaches you a lot of things, but this is the biggest one: never understimate the carelessness of people

Were they the same color, too?
yeah you do, not buying the 99 blazer
When its your first real "bought" vehicle and your parents are putting up 50% the cost... they kind of have some power in saying what you can get. [editline]12th December 2012[/editline] I wanted a ranger, for the record.
thats what they want you to think
I bought my 740i with my parents putting up more than half, and I got to choose what I wanted...lol Its even titled to me

The only good thing about rangers is that the 2WD ones with the pinto/lima engine can be swapped or converted to 2.3t's using turbo coupe/SVO/turbostang parts. Otherwise they are crap.

urg lately I've been putting off changing my oil until the 6k miles mark. Soo in terms makes me not wana check my oil level, well lately my car has been showing low oil pressure under hard acceleration/deacceleration. *check oil this morning* wat this can't be right... dip stick completely dry. Add 1 1/4 quarts oil slight up to the low mark. Went thew almost 3quarts of oil in 5k miles. Welp
