ill drive the shitty vehicle for a few years, then ill get to drive a better car. the blazer only has to get me through college.
S10 Blazers are great little trucks when they aren't abused. My friend Stephen drove one ever since he got his license, and he had to do a few repairs but it was otherwise a decent vehicle. Terrible on gas, but good nonetheless.
for fucks sake

Belt going to the power steering fell off. It is not fun trying to steer a 2 ton FWD land barge through a parking lot without power steering.

bought mine for 2500, at 160k. have only invested about $600 into it due to tires. ill probably keep the vehicle until it won't run anymore and if not that, the girl wants it really badly.
Took my car into the shop:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/MMj3U.jpg[/t]
A fucking mouse climbed into my engine bay over the night and slept on the power steering belt. When I turned the car on in the morning, the belt snapped the mouse's neck or something, which dislodged the belt completely. The belt was still in good shape and there was no blood 'n' guts, so that's a plus.
Even though my car is stored in this locked off building with heat and shit, that still scares me. If mice or something go into my exhaust or tear up wiring / interior.
[editline]edit[/editline]
be glad that the mouse didn't splatter out all over the engine bay. :v:

That's why I have poison on small plastic plates all around my car

That's why you put a sock/cloth/metalbrush/whatever inside your exhaust & air intake to prevent nests build up in these locations.
And that you put poison/repellent around the car.
I currently have none of that in my car. :v:

did think about doing it and I'll probably just do it as a precuation next time we go out there but there's hopefully not mice in there considering it's a huge closed off building that also stores peoples furnature.
So guys, which is better, a turbocharger or a supercharger if I'm more concerned about acceleration than top speed?
Either a smaller turbo or a supercharger, I'd say supercharger.
Superchargers are belt driven, they boast faster response time, but can labor an engine at high RPMs.
Turbo chargers use the exhaust of the engine to turn the compressor, turbo's can provide more boost than a supercharger, but it takes time for the compressor to spool up.
both
both
If you've got the balls and the cash, strap a supercharger on for the quick response and a 50 something MM turbo to it ;D
Either a smaller turbo or a supercharger, I'd say supercharger.
Superchargers are king, the whine man, the whine.

Nothing quite like the sound of a supercharger.
Okay, what's the typical price range for each. I can only find one supercharger kit online for my car and it's $2,200.

It has a suprisingly tiny tank too, makes the gutless 4.3 feel way worse. Only has a 50L tank, even my car has a 64L Tank. Boyfriend just got one, and wont stop complaining how he has to fill up every 6 days now.

Dem fuel pumps.
I bought a cheap ass ebay header, a primary o2 sensor, a o2 sensor simulator for the secondary o2 and an oil pan gasket. Hopefully my gas mileage goes up and oil consumption goes down even a little bit.
urg lately I've been putting off changing my oil until the 6k miles mark.
Soo in terms makes me not wana check my oil level, well lately my car has been showing low oil pressure under hard acceleration/deacceleration.
*check oil this morning* wat this can't be right...
dip stick completely dry. Add 1 1/4 quarts oil slight up to the low mark.
Went thew almost 3quarts of oil in 5k miles.
Welp
It's okay, I lose a quart of oil every 500 to the oil gremlins in my Integra. Now I'm at the low mark again and I don't feel like wasting oil when I'm gonna do an oil pan gasket in a couple weeks here but I can't just leave it below the fill line..

Dude, you're an insane man putting that big of a supercharger on your motor. You better watch out running that much voltage through your through your motor might blow the welds on the intake manifold!
Order some parts, 1 Throttle Valve/Detent/Kickdown cable whatever, everyone seems to call it something different, which I actually need, and 2 parts I don't really need, a Transmission filter and gasket, and an O ring for the filter. I ordered all this 11 days ago, on the 1st. I got the O ring, all by itself, on the 3rd. I got the Filter and gaskets on the 6th. Today, on the 12th, I got an email saying the TV/Detent/Kickdown cable for my transmission, is out of stock and they are refunding my money. Motherfuckers.
Checked autozone after work, and they had 0 in stock, checked Napa, and I bought the only one they had in stock. I was going to go to Costless if Napa didn't have it, don't know how many they would have had.
Edit:
Oh yeah, since last thursday, the 6th(the day Marijuana became legal in Washington, and we had our yearly lead and mercury levels tested(along with some surprise UA's!)) we've had 7 people fail UA's where I work.
To test our Mercury and Lead levels they test our piss and blood, and all I got out of it was this:

Police car motors are actually the simplest things ever.. I was surprised. Easy access to fluids and very roomy in the compartment.

Police car motors?
You mean the ford v8 in crown victorias.
I love how the Ford Modular series sounds. But my 2010 F150 Work truck only has the 4.6 2 valve, and its slow as fuck in a truck.

That was a good, and well educated, guess. :P

I had a feelgasm when my friend said 'lose him' when crvbro was following us and i was driving my friends 4.6 F150, banging sick lines out in the corners, yo.
Gave up after almost hitting about 12 deer.
(not at once, like had to slam on the brakes from 80 several times at different points)
I woulda shook him, but I refuse to run stop signs, and the deer were out in full battle mode.

You're not the only one, i did the same thing about a week ago. I haden't checked it in a while, it was dry. Add a quart, low. Add another, perfect.
It only holds like 3.6, and was over the course of 3000-4000 miles
