Want to get myself a 300zx  Problem is, most of the ones I can find have a shitloads of miles on them + bad condition. Did find one a couple hours away in pristine condition with only 25k miles, its 20 grand though :v: http://denver.craigslist.org/ctd/3462433110.html

You buy them in a semi-good condition with a decent price and you fix it up. [editline]Edit[/editline]
Speaking of the 300ZX, how does this look? So my father wants to get a cheap car that we can use to mess around with, so I was thinking about a Golf Mk2. Something like this: Or do you guys have any other car suggestions?
So my father wants to get a cheap car that we can use to mess around with, so I was thinking about a Golf Mk2.
What about an old Volvo? Yeah, I know they are usually kinda "ricy", but I've heard they're really easy to work on, and they can get quite nice looking if you do it right. If not, I second Skydiver's suggestion, there's even one for sale right now for 20k NOK. Here you go.

His budget is around max 10k NOK. I've had a look at some Volvos, but I didn't really see anything that seemed interesting. The Golf seems to be a nice mix between fun and price at 7,5k NOK.
Yeah, it seems that the old Sciroccos have gone almost extinct, and that's a problem for people looking to buy them, but don't have that big a budget, the sellers don't know what they should expect to get for it, and they can push the price, since they're one of the few selling (or as in this case, the only one)

I would stick to the Golf because parts are really easy to come by, and the 1.8 engine runs like a train, if you keep it serviced.

Yeah, I've been thinking (or dreaming) of getting a 740 wagon or something as my first car. Manual, of course.
They are very tail happy.

Anyone have suggestions for cheap, lightweight sound deadening material? I'm thinking of ditching the inch-thick old insulation under my car's carpet and replacing it with something lighter.
