Roight. If anyone else wants to take a look in their spare time, my mom has asked me to find her a car on Craigslist. Her only requirements are Crossover/small utility(Honda pilot/passport etc) must be 4WD(or AWD), reliable, as new as possible (not super important), good gas mileage is a plus. Auto or manual, doesn't matter. The budget is $4k-$5k Local CL [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] Brand isn't important either. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline]
I don't have a CRX.
Yeah, but you used to have a pretty freakin sweet one.
I don't have a CRX.
Isn't that a CRX in your profile pic? (or had one?) Am I mixing them up again?...

I know it's a one owner, 25,000 mile car, but that's no reason to bump the price up to twice what it's actually worth.
Just as I expected. He just looked at the sporty design and said "OH FUCK, HERE COMES AN ANNOYING FLY... That thing is the death of my wallet! Look at it! It's a sporty car! That shit is designed to be a sponge!" (fuck you dad, I'd be the one paying for the gas, fuck you...) Does your friend's del sol and your civic consume a lot of gas? [editline]10th January 2013[/editline] Technically, I could also get a CRX like yours, which is cheaper aswell. But I bet that would be YET another... Huh, I wonder what my dad would say... But then again, I don't quite like it. Theres just something I don't like about it, and every CRX is riced around here. No exceptions. (no really, ALL OF THEM)
nah my civic is really good on gas, last time I tried to calculate it, it was around 30mpg combined. it's a good little car. I'm not sure about my friends though, I haven't talked to him about it.
I've been told that TT nissan 300zx's are super rare, and thats pretty much why a lot of them are overpriced. The prices you have to pay for having an awesome car in pristine condition...
Isn't that a CRX in your profile pic? (or had one?) Am I mixing them up again?...
That's a very old picture of my Civic. It's quite different now. They aren't worth the price or the hype. May as well get a base and swap something better than a VG series into it. Ever since I got my car I've been trying to learn more about it. I baby it and keep up on the maintenance, I havent looked at the timing belt since I got the car in feburary so my dad got me a timing belt kit to go and replace it when it gets warmer (the person i bought it from didn't know when it was done) I have yet to really touch the engine because I have yet to know what i want to do with it, if anything at all, I installed i/h/e though.

No reason to hurt what's already nice. The only reason I went LS is because the original plan (F22 swap) would have taken too much time and the D-series exploded on me. Otherwise I'd still be rolling around with a turbo D16. I'd really like to find me a good B16A2 block to build eventually. It takes time to find the right deal. Like when I got my Corvette.

I was wondering if you had any input? being the resident honda guru :c
I've had a few sets of coils and I hated them, I threw away (read: gave away with a car) a nice set of coils off of my civic and opted for some ebay lowering springs, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Really, you can't go too wrong with a lowering spring as it's just a spring weighted for your car to drop it so far, but ebay stuff is chancy generally. I dislike adjustable coils because of the stiff-as-boards ride, so I decided to try a set of 2.25/2.5 drop springs and they ride incredibly well. If you don't want your brains hammered out or live in a very bumpy area I'd say find a set of cheap drop springs that are right for your car and throw them in instead. Mine were soft enough that installation I just compressed them by hand (my friend/fellow facepuncher Borellus stood it up and pushed down the hat and I twisted the nut on), but they are firm enough that the ride isn't floaty. They were a good buy -- $60!

I drew a picture regarding my teacher's train of thought (this is related to cars because it's 11pm, I just finished cleaning mine, and I realized I have to write an essay for him) [t]http://puu.sh/1LRRq[/t]
My mom likes Hyundai's, especially the Santa Fe, I told her in her price range they're awful, terrible cars. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] Also, page 100.
