I'd rather get a whole LS tranny. Not a fan of the B16 gearing at all -- I'm used to having a torqueless turbo D with an HF tranny. :)
Yeah, I'm definitely no fan of the B16 gearing. It's beyond too much for the LS with the GSR edging on what I would consider to be the most aggressive which you should want. I'll have to say though that the 1st/2nd gear in my GSR tranny I would never switch for a LS ever again. Being able to pretty much just let go of the clutch at a incredibly low speed which you could easily push the car with one leg out the door at and putt around at idle is incredibly nice. There's also pretty much no situations where you'll ever need to downshift to 1st which I had to do commonly due on the LS tranny to all the bad driving in Oregon. I used to have to always use the clutch when in parking lots and slow situations that automatic cars are good at where as now I never have to even use the clutch in any gear but reverse. 4th gear on an LS trans are absolutely useless, if you want to be able to accelerate you'll always have to drop it to 3rd and rev the piss out of it. 5th gear isn't really for accelerating but the GSR tranny does it pretty well at the expensive of like 5-6mpg
My brother got his DA LS up to ~120 loaded the fuck down with camping gear, like full back seat and couldn't see out the back window loaded, out in the Deschutes area year before last. He had it floored in I think 4th maybe 5th gear, not sure as I was passenger in the car behind going the speed limit, and it wouldn't go any faster. The road was dead level, straight and went for miles.
Oh god old people should not drive, at all Had some old lady in a brand new subaru come in for an oil change. If there's an empty bay, we usually have the customer drive the car in themselves. And on each side of the bay entrances there's a red cement pole. So this grandma drives towards the bay entrance at an odd angle. As she's turning into the bay, I realize that she wasn't going to make it. I start motioning and telling her to stop, but that old turd just keep going and ended up driving right into one of the red poles. It cracked the shit out of her bumper, and I ended up going out there and driving it in myself :v: Don't think she realized she fucked up her bumper And here's a pic:
thanks for putting my drawings to shame </3

Got my license a week ago, having tons of fun cruising in my piece of shit Opel Astra :v:
So i've decided I want a motorbike. Been looking at the new kawasaki ninja 300. 297cc, 2 cylinders. weighs like 300 pounds or so. It's advertised to do 65-70 or so MPG, and reviews I've seen everyone says while you can't outrun the 1300's, you can keep up with them in the corners. Seem to be a nimble bike. I found one locally for about $4K, now I just need to get my motorcycle endorsement and save up at least $1,500 for a down payment :D Now to somehow convince my girlfriend to let me get it.. :v:

Honda Civic for €450,- yes or no? It's dirt cheap, looks clean and has no technical problems. Just a little rust here and there though. Have you guys ever seen roadkill? Pretty damn good series imo.
204,000 kilometres though, that's a fuck load.
No it isn't. You obviously haven't owned a 1988-1995 Civic before. My original engine was still running at 220,000 miles (~354,000 km) when I swapped it for something else. My '88 CRX Si has 230,000 (~370,000 km) miles and then I put some head studs on it and put 8PSI of boost through it. The D16Z6 block I used for a build was a running D16Z6 out of a '93 Civic which still ran before I disassembled it for parts (we didn't have the title on it) and it had 315,000 miles (~506,000 km) on it. Borellus bought him a '95 Civic Sedan LX about a month ago, which is a two-owner car, 260,000 miles (418,000 km), he paid $1000 for it and it is mint, needed a head gasket. It took me about 3 hours to do in his driveway and he's been driving it ever since. 200,000km (125,000 miles) is NOTHING on a D-series Civic. hahahahahahaha oh god i laughed so hard when i saw this
the fuck? why is he just reversing and pulling forward>
look at the car it looks so retarded. derp. this is what it's supposed to look like [img_thumb]http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GdZvD8ZOKn8/TbiYnGc5GEI/AAAAAAAAABY/uyFjI-noaQM/s1600/2002_lamborghini_murcielago_2.jpg[/img_thumb]
It still looks cool. I like it when people build a home-made exotic, I just wish they wouldn't try to pass it off as a replica of another car when it falls very short of it. [editline]12th January 2013[/editline] The painful ones are the home-built F40s.

Nitrous is for wimps. :( This is a much better neon: And it's how they should have come from the factory IMO. [editline]12th January 2013[/editline] Apparently putting 2.2/2.5 into the neon is simple:
believe it or not...it was the MOST SIMPLE engine swap i have ever done. it uses the stock neon axles...they are the right length and clip right into the getrag A555 trans, the shifter from the daytona bolted right back into place of the neon shifter, the clutch cable and spring adjuster connected right back up after i broke off the goofy flat washer on it. It is running on 89 SMEC electronics from the daytona and ALL of the stock neon gages work--including the speedo, but it is off about 15 MPH due to the different gear ratio. the daytona downpipe, even lined up with the stock neon exhaust system, so i didnt need any special exhaust work. I did, however, have to fabricate the passenger side and front motor mount. basically, i cut them in half, postioned the motor, and welded them back together. the trans mount was just fine as was the bobble strut mounting location. It doenst rumble, growl, or act funny when you drive it either--I had it up to about 80 or so--its fine.
Well, the Neon and it's engine did replace the K cars and the 2.2/2.5.
I know. But they replaced the 2.2/2.5 with an inferior engine in my opinion. The Neon engine does share a lot with the K engine, though, and as such it's possibly to have a 16v 2.2/2.5 using a Neon head with enough work. The Neon engine's not too bad I guess... It's just too bad they had head gasket problems and the bottom end is junk.

Yeah, back when I had my POS 'nasty I remember reading up on head swaps people would do. It was an interesting engine, but my particular car was a turd.

What do you guys think about these? http://denver.craigslist.org/ctd/3534423431.html http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/3532604085.html
First one is ridiculous, second is alright but still kind of pricey unless you're not going to do anything at all to it.
I picked a shitty day to not park in the garage..
