Because you wouldn't know how to maintain it and drive it correctly; eventually blowing your whole motor/car/life/someone's life up. If it does fail it will sit in your garage for weeks until you find someone with the know-how or you scrounge up enough money -which is gonna be easy in the thousands- to fix it. Don't take finding/sourcing the parts to be an easy task either; it will require importation at times or some poking about Why are you so adamant in buying a modded car? Are you afraid of modding a stock car? If you want to learn about cars and do your own wrench time, that's the easiest, fastest, cheapest way to do it. Start small; the basics then move on to the better stuff. Don't take such a huge leap you will be regretting down the road A turbo isn't just a: attach, bolt on, done kind of deal. It involves meticulous tuning, parts configurations, fabrication and several trial and error to accomplish. A simple turbo kit is a few thousand already and to modify other things for the turbo to work can cost even more. Injectors, fuel pump, regulator, forged internals, etc etc Essentially a similar platform to say a 240SX with bigger engine and 4WD.
Except much harder to find, more expensive and pricier on maintenance... Still would love to own a R32 GTR one day if I could afford it haha. Jeez I'd just give up on all other cars and buy myself a 240sx, but I'm just not sure if it's a good idea for winter driving. It'd be a daily driver after all..
Integra's are pretty good, all of the Honda's are good too. You just have to watch for ones that are beat the piss out of or you get a automatic which are normally better kept. I got my box of little things from Honda(AcuraOEMParts.com really), $20 of stuff for my ebrake handle, OEM blank keys, oil pan bolts and some front plate hole block off clips! Now I just need the other stuff I ordered off another forum to get here so I can replace my chewtoy of an ebrake from a previous owner... It appears we do! I absolutely love my desk, I don't have any recent pictures but I found a link to one on my phone. http://db.tt/Ftz0qQZ1
I thought about getting that desk at Walmart, but it seamed too small for my use. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/Img%20Dump/DSC00378.JPG[/t] Also dat felling when you get OEM shit :3

So today's my 16th birthday, so I got to drive home from the busstop today, though my mom has to be in the passenger seat, and we have to have an "L" on the back, it's still pretty awesome (in my opinion) :v:

i should stop browsing parts sites.. i'd love to waste $1500 on dual carbs, new distributor, new exhaust and a cam but i could buy a whole second damn Bug for that kind of money and if i spent it all hopping up my current engine, i'd come out the other side with 80hp (if it was a cold day in hell) at the wheels.. sure, effectively almost double stock hp but still just doesn't really seem worth it to me (besides, i could turbo my engine for ~$1500 and generate the same amount of power with <10lbs of boost and still have a perfectly reliable engine.. or go crazy and run 15-20lbs of boost and make enough power to destroy my poor tranny) i've got such a love/hate relationship with the bug. i'd LOVE to spend all kinds of money and do all kinds of crazy performance upgrades but i'd also HATE to be wasting money beating an already beat engine/transaxle with way more power than either were ever really designed to handle. i guess i'm just going to keep the engine "stock" for now, unless i win the lottery (or start doing more flooring jobs with my dad's buddy for cash moneys on nights/weekends, almost like winning the lottery but with way more work and considerably more knee/back pain)
now I need to go dig up that thread on SA nice
^Actually Bozo style is pretty fly if you do it right, that guy is just doing it over the top
first one looks like a shitty body kit riveted onto an otherwise good car, the second car looks dirty and unkept and generally shitty
