I do that too. My mom doesn't understand why I hate all the fucking keys hanging yet she doesn't notice that it hits my leg and it's incredibly irritating.
careful, you might get your driving privileges suspended if you take them apart so you don't die and don't put them back together!!!!!!!!!!!!! [editline]14th January 2013[/editline] oh wait sorry that's just my mom she also told me nothing belongs on tables :v: (not even kidding, she said nothing belongs on tables except food, and food should be eaten and removed from the table immediately)
Well fuck guys. Im not sure of what to do. I got let go from my job today. I was there on the days I was supposed to be, I stayed late when needed, and I worked as hard as I could work. He said It was due to lack of attendance and lack of effort, when I haven't missed a day in months and I've been having back pains due to moving a a sheer amount of hospital beds. Im not sure where in the area will hire me. I guess I just got to go out and apply anywhere and everywhere I can right? I hope this doesn't take long, the Cobra is almost done, and things were just starting to work out :/ Sorry for the rant, I had to post it somewhere.
Not cool.
I like to not be distracted when I've almost been hit head on twice in a month
Story time? I'm interested. Give me it in detail.
officially decided that i'm officially officially deciding that my first car will be a stick (it's taking me fucking forever to get off my ass and get my license, i have had my permit for waaay too long) driving in a automatic is just way too boring for me, plus if i decide later on that i'm too lazy for stick then i just have that knowledge (also what are some really good stick tutorials, i need some touching up) oh and how accurate is this? (considering yahoo answers is fucking stupid, i'm not taking it very seriously)
Yes, and no. Some of the newer 8 speeds and automated dual clutch systems do shift faster, and are more efficient, but they're also pretty god damn expensive, and well...If you like driving a manual.... They might send you to a bunch of different odd jobs, stuff that only lasts for a day, but you also might luck out on your first time out and get an even better job than your last.

I can see where you're coming from. My mom's a single older lady and she can not get any work. She's a Registered Nurse and a damn good one, but she can't get a job because: 1) Her age. 2) Other personal reasons that were caused by a family member of ours that now disallows her from getting any job in her field. Hopefully you'll find work again soon. Good luck.

I've got a good rep with alot of the shops around here, due to my schools autoshop program. Im going to see what I can do. Thanks for the support guys. Im too young for a temp agency I think (17). I was going to be coming on 3 years at my old job in March :/
It'll be two years in May that I started working at Subway.. Im hoping to leave before then.
Lol wow, 2 years in may for me at my job too. I'm hoping to be out of there really soon, but lately, every time I get my hopes up, shit hits the fan. :(
Hey, at least you guys have jobs. Throwing applications out like there's no tomorrow.
On your next walmart application, make sure to say you are mentally retarded/handicapped; you will get the job, trust me. Whelloo anndr weclommee tooo waaaallllmmarreett!
I think I'm done helping my so called "friends" This dude I've met in highschool recently moved close by. He has a 240SX like me so I've been helping him fix this damned thing. He's at his third engine now and working on it in his friend's house he's been crashing at. Loaning him tools and even giving him my spare MAF air box. Its ok for me to help out a fellow auto enthusiast and a 240 bro at that, but they don't even seem to care. It's like they take take take. His friend and he are both unemployed so I felt bad and felt the need to give to them. His friend is just a constant turd towards me since the day I turned down his help to fix my BHG. I don't even care anymore; I'm tired of assholes who can't even recognize genuine help and spit at your face. Not once have they said thank you anyway
ahhh the nissan community :(
i want a bmw so bad but it's going to be such a shitty starting vehicle, i can't afford any repairs on those oh god 6.8k, 5 speed manual, 78k i want itTt
What are some good cars to flip for dosh, I'm considering getting some with engine problems or whatever and fixing them up and selling them. My current choices are most Hondas and Chevy trucks or cars since parts are pretty abundant, budget is $100-1000, Edmonton.kijiji.ca is my local classifieds of you want to take a look.
How normal is it for the accelerator to be very sensitive in cars? I'm practicing in a little Land Rover and I was pretty surprised when I lightly touched the pedal but still shot forwards pretty quickly. Maybe I just have a lead foot but I wish it could take more pressure before going.
I've never experienced that, but when I and my buddy just started out driving, we both noticed that the brakes were more sensitive than we'd thought (I drive a VW Caravelle and he drives a HiAce), but diesels are pretty know for being slow, aren't they? I guess that could be why the accelerator isn't as sensitive.
All cars are different, honestly. I went from a 96' Taurus to a 2001 Taurus and I immediately started speeding because I didn't realize the sensitivity of the pedal. Same with a PT Cruiser I drove.
So I've come across this Audi A4 B6, From 2003 with only 105.000KM on it, Roughly 60.000 Miles. It's got an 1.8liter Turbo engine and sport seats ect. it also has an automatic transmission. It's currently in Germany so I'll have to make a 1-2 day trip there with my dad, not to mention all the paperwork that's required. But for 6000 euro's, Aka 8000$ it's a fucking steal. What do you guys think?

Ford is possibly moving some (if not all) of its 2015 models to be supercharged to reduce weight in the vehicles http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/01/15/us-autoshow-ford-f-idUSBRE90E0TN20130115 In other news, I want a F150
Just did some "testing" with my Audi. Abs Sensor #1 (left front) is going bad. Abs module in "safe mode" + wet roads? WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Time to buy a new sensor for when the "make over" is going to happen. Sooo top brands that have rapped my wallet are "P.E.S,H&R, and Audi" hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng I cant wait. @Djessey Fukken do ett , erbody is just jelly we have more VW bros than Honda bros.

They've already incorporated EcoBoost engines in most of their lineup (in the cars at least), and it seems to be doing well, so I can imagine that's why they're going for a full lineup of cars with the EcoBoost "platform". Supercharging for economy is bullocks, supercharging is terribly inefficient, requires more maintenance, and is much harder to work on, on top of costing about twice as much as something such good OEM turbocharger manufacturer deal. Superchargers cost a lot of money to make, where turbochargers are churned out by the dozens. Building a supercharger is much more intricate than a turbocharger, and it also requires special lubrication, where turbochargers require nothing but a feed of oil from the engine (and water if you also want to cool the turbo).
abs is for babies

It really shouldn't be but when engines differentiate from the typical 4 valve set up, mechanics might try to take you for a ride. 52 mpg fleet standard in.. 2015? cars n trucks are together now, no longer one standard for cars and one for trucks. [editline]15th January 2013[/editline] in reply to the above, gotta squeeze it all out.
52 sounds like a dream. 5 fold what I'm getting now

Is it an EX or LX? [t]http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/5223/dsc0607da.jpg[/t] I got mine for 3.5k from my aunt (a great deal), but it is an LX (no vtack), had 114k miles (now at 125.8k), but is also a 5 speed and i absolutely love it. It's not really a fast car, but as a 5-speed the gearing is quite short and 'peppy'. The EX can do 0-60 in ~8 seconds and the LX ~8.5-9. For the 6.8k though, you could get something cooler.
Quit whining! :v:
I will as soon as your car does :v:
Might be buying a reverse manual valve body for the camaro along with some 4.10s, should I get a stud girdle for the rear? And know of any good 3.8 turbo kits or would it be best to save for the bbc swap?
