Drove the Jetta around a bit today, I swear the brakes and gas both have this weird thing going on where you slowly increase pressure and nothing happens but you hit a certain point and they both act like you pushed them really hard. I also got vinyl floor mats for the front and nabbed the headphone-jack-to-tape-player converter and iPod charger from my mom's car. 24 days until the test. Also texted my instructor to schedule drive times but she hasn't gotten back to me yet.
Huh I found a shop nearby that can turn my car into right hand drive for about $1000; should I do it?
Mirrored dash and everything? wow I guess if you like RHD, it might be worth it. I know I'm a real bummer some times, but, shouldn't you be saving for other parts?
Well, for a track day, you should look for a track. Tracks are a great place to start looking. Have you considered looking for racetracks in your area and looking them up online?
thanks for the heads up i checked the website of a local track like 8 months ago before and couldn't get anywhere just checked again and it looks like they overhauled the entire site. 5/15/13 and $225. hm

So... What do you guys know about swaybars?
So... What do you guys know about swaybars?
They limit travel difference from side to side. And a stiffer rear will decrease under steer. Had a whiteline on my es300, and Trd on my Camry se and been looking at a racing beat for the 3
They limit travel difference from side to side. And a stiffer rear will decrease under steer.
I see... Worth it?
I see... Worth it?
Depends on your driving. I use to auto cross some and like my fwds be a little tail happy. But I live In The mountains.
Hate winter. Went to the grocery to pick up some food, and when I came back to car it wouldn't start, no click, tried boosting it, nothing, starter solenoid took a dump and gotta shell money to get it towed. Fuck this gay winter.
Well, My hair is getting way too long for my liking. So, I decide to shave it down to a 3, like I did last time. Father comes down stairs, after I get half way through the first pass. Tells me I cant do it, and that I need to pay someone to cut my hair so Im presentable. Takes my trimmer. What the hell, I have a spot with no hair now. Da'fuck. On-topic now, what type of gloss paint sticks to aluminum rims? I want to do gold 2000 Cobra R rims on the Cobra, and Im not sure what type of paint to buy.
For rims buy Duplicolor wheel paint, they have a few colors available and clear coat to put over. That's what I do on my wheels. This was sanded (Left one is sanded), then painted with 2 coats of Duplicolor Wheel Paint - Gunmetal, and 4 coats of Clear coat. plastidip
plastidip
He says sticks not peels.
On-topic now, what type of gloss paint sticks to aluminum rims? [editline] fhgfjbg [/editline] Now to back my self up on this one too, I look at plasti dip for short period plastic applications. It just does not like wheels that much, If done right and taken the time it might last a year before its a dingy black. Also road grime is a bitch to get off properly without removing the plasti dip also. :v:
ive had plasti dip on the roof of the cobra for a few months now and it still looks new. Henry still has it on his wheels too but I think his are peeling a little around the edges because his mom was scrubbing them trying to clean it lol

Lol we got the CR-v stuck again, went out for some 'holy shit the mud hole is a frozen ice pit!' run Went to the lake forest road, I was standing on a puddle stomping my feet while flipping the ice off yelling fuck you, he drove over the puddle, heard it cracking and went in reverse. He moved back about 2 inches and then the front tire crashed through the ice, I got a hammer and smashed all the ice behind his tire out of the way and then me and blackman pulled on a towstrap while he gave it some gas in reverse. Twas fun. [editline]24th January 2013[/editline] Dat holepunch lol.
The only Auto I've driven was an old Volvo 740 GLE so modern boxes are almost certainly better than that. But I feel like I have more precise control in a manual, like with proper clutch control I can move the car 1 centimeter. On UK roads it does help, because no road is designed right.
I've driven a modern auto (Opel Insignia, 2012, Diesel), and I didn't like it. When you put it in Drive, it moves a little bit forward, sometimes, but you usually have to give it gas, so it almost always moves too far. I also hated the gear changes, all of a sudden the throttle changes. And even I can get better gear changes in a manual than the auto does (it kinda bumps, as if you let out the clutch too quickly, sometimes)
Huh I found a shop nearby that can turn my car into right hand drive for about $1000; should I do it?
why on earth would you do that
Huh I found a shop nearby that can turn my car into right hand drive for about $1000; should I do it?
I found a place that will drill a hole in my head for $1500. Should I do it?
Nah, I'd recommend DIY. There are plenty of sites about Self-Trepanation. [editline]...[/editline] Oh god yes, my favorite Valiant is for sale at a reasonable price. [t]http://212.112.179.20/images_full/17/1768975457.jpg[/t]
Huh I found a shop nearby that can turn my car into right hand drive for about $1000; should I do it?
No. For starters, it costs money. A lot of it. You'll have to re-learn how to shift with your left hand. It will be less safe. When you make a U-turn, the only thing between you and oncoming traffic will be about two or three inches of thin steel. Cops might pull you over for shits and giggles. Parking will be an issue, because many people park close to the right side of cars. You'll have trouble getting in unless you hit people's cars with your door.
It's good if you want to deliver some mail with it
I wish every sold Prius would come with a DVD that contained this video

If you live in a country where you drive on the right side, when making a u-turn in a right hand driven car, you would actually have the entire left hand side of the car as a buffer between an accident. In a normal car you only have your drivers door blocking you from traffic. Also, people do not park close to the right side of cars. Because if they do, that is their driver door, meaning they couldn't get out of their own car... Unless it is a tight space, people usually leave room for themselves to get out of their driver door. I could be completely misunderstanding, but oh well.
The most space efficient design of car park would be if car parking spaces were designated for RHD and LHD and there was an even split of both on the roads and everyone was alone while driving, that way one car door width space could serve two drivers side doors :v:

But when people reverse into a spot, they usually give themselves more room on the left (so they and the guy to their left can open their drivers door), which typically leaves less room on the right side/passenger side on both their own car and the other car adjacent to them. [editline]24th January 2013[/editline] I think I may have reversed the names, but whatever. Left image is the standard driving position in the United States, right image is standard driving position in the UK.

Thus there is no issue in how much safety you have, you shouldn't cut in front of cars.
the u-turn thing is just looking for faults in RHD in LHD traffic but converting a LHD to RHD when you're in LHD country is fucking retarded
Ill be picking up that old dodge with the 360 4 speed from my friends house soon, if I were to drive it should i go light on it to make sure nothing breaks or should I power shift it and do some launches to be sure it can take the abuse? [editline]24th January 2013[/editline] Been sitting for 6 years.
