Ah, here's a great article for anyone interested in purchasing eBay turbo things. A lot of people hate on them, but these guys actually put them to the test by bolting them on a small block chevy in a 1955 Chevy.

People hate on turbos? I'm not sure if I've just neglected that but I've honestly never heard anyone have arguments against it. What sort of stuff do people find against them?

and thats why in MN its illegal not to have valid car insurance
Same thing in Sweden. If you've paid your road fee (not the tax) and you don't have insurance you get fined every day until you get a valid insurance.
I want a RHD car but that's just because I'm lefthanded so I feel that could be just a tad easier.

wow late reply, sorry :v:
No longer leaking oil in my jeep... awesome!
Though the transfer case still leaks.
and I still want to get a new trans.
Going to flush the fluid this weekend hopefuly.
the u-turn thing is just looking for faults in RHD in LHD traffic but converting a LHD to RHD when you're in LHD country is fucking retarded
but you can go through drive thrus in reverse
22 days until test, driving instructor still hasn't bothered responding to text...
Why do you need to text the driving instructor?
22 days until test, driving instructor still hasn't bothered responding to text...
Where are you taking this test that you are texting the instructor
Why do you need to text the driving instructor?
To schedule the 3x 2 hour driving sessions

it's not for the test, it's for the driving sessions you have to do
So you're in a driving school? :v:

Dude, I did 2 of my sessions 6 months before my test, then one two weeks before.
Just CALL HER. or get a new driving instructor.

People hate EBAY turbos. When you can buy a turbocharger for $150 all day long when the cheapest name brands are around a grand, people find reasons to bitch. Truth be told you could probably explode about 8 ebay turbos and still be ahead. So I personally don't see what's so bad about them, even if people do seem to break them (though I've not heard of such in a while unless it was user neglect).
So you're in a driving school? :v:
Well, considering it's a state law that you have to have 30 hours of drivers ed and 6 hours of driving with your instructor, yeah.
My neighbor told me to twin turbo the GTO, but I didn't think it would be financially feasible. I would definitely spend a little more for an intercooler.
LS3TT is a pretty cool acronym. Especially if it pushes 550 horses on pump-gas.
Do you mean the 402 big block LS3 or the Vortec-based LS3? Turbocharging LS engines is way different than turbocharging a small block. LS engines take boost like they were made to do it, and you can easily push over 1000hp on completely stock, junkyard components on even the smallest of them.

GM LS3 6.2L crate engine. I don't want more than 600hp, I doubt the rear tires will be wider than 275mm. It's a weekend grocery getter and maybe I'll take it to VIR every couple months for a track day.
I wouldn't put more than 10psi through it, I'm not looking for a dyno or drag queen.
The turbo(s) would mostly be for oggling at in my garage.

I'm going to shoot off 1 more text, if I don't hear back by tomorrow I will just call her
Is she single?
Rain + RWD + just trying to turn left in an intersection = super hydroplane doriftu
I was fishtailing like crazy and countersteering until I realized I needed to let go of the gas. Was scary with stock suspension but I managed to keep control.
Got my licence exam on the 4th, Only 10 days left. I'm nervous as fuck.

A RHD car would favour a right handed person? My right hand (The better, more accurate one) is on the wheel at all times. In a LHD car, my better hand would by changing gear 25% of the time leaving my less accurate hand to steer.
Therefore, RHD cars are superior for more of the worlds population, *smug*
Overthinking. :v:

Well, I'm ambidextrous with my left hand as my strongest hand, so that wouldn't really be such a big difference in which hand I'm holding the wheel, I just think it feels better to shift with my left hand :v:
I drive an automagic.
Both hands can stay on the wheel, and my eyes can stay on the road.
Who takes their eyes off the road driving a manual?

Executed ebrake slide into parking spot at advanced auto, old guy grinned at me from his truck.
also made a tool to open my trans drain/fill plugs
It's an old caliper, modified the part where the handle used to be so it would be 5/16 square

You do know you just use a regular ratchet on that plug, right...? :|
Couldn't find a 5/16 drive ratchet anywhere
