can't i glue them to my exhaust and put out some sikk revs
can't i glue them to my exhaust and put out some sikk revs
Just stick them into the intake, rev it a few times, and nicely baked soft cookies should fly out the exhaust.
Just make sure your cat converter is off, that thing will shred them into a fine cookie-dough powder.

What a night, we take the Coronet for the last spin of the year and half way down the range road on our way back it craps out (no battery power). So I run to get the golf cart and it craps out near the way there, so the drive back we just barely made it, the strap broke because of the cart stalling and then going forward. Right as we turned into our place was the worst part for the golf cart, barely moved, when it gets onto our gravel road it's pretty much peeling the tires the whole way to the garage.
So today, I realized how much I hate Subarus. Spent 5 minutes trying to clamp a hose from the air filter housing back on to another hose. That motherfucker did not want to fit on to the other hose, and the clamp ended up falling off the hose and into the engine bay. spent a bit of time looking for it, then i finally found it and tried clamping the hoses back together again. My manager then came over with the customer, explained the problem and then clamped the hoses for me :suicide:
Also we gotta check the final drive on all subarus, it's a pain in the ass because it's pretty deep in the engine bay and we often have to check it when the engine is running/the key is on aka sticking our hands into a giant death trap

the guy is selling 3 of these
if he had 4 I totally would have done it, even though they need a repaint
the red trim would look so nice on my vehicle
So I took a look into honda-land and I'm honestly not fond of it. However, I've always liked the 00+ Celica body style and it looks like MWR has some good aftermarket parts. Might go that route.
i was split between a last gen celica and my prelude so i would not be against you buying a celica
So the shit flinging at my work has begun. Co-workers pretending to be your ally when indeed they are in the shadows.
Imo, I just do my job well and do it right. Get paid and I'm a happy tuner. Some people take the retail auto parts as their career and I can't blame them; however something as temporary as this job is something I shouldn't be raising my blood pressure over.
guys,
dont bash on me

I always tought that underside neons were cool.
I still do
I would drag them off if I even tried :v
(not that I would, I think they are tacky)

At least you don't work at a grocery store.
Need a serious opinion like right now guys, http://kelowna.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-trucks-1990-Nissan-Skyline-Right-hand-drive-W0QQAdIdZ412527333
Owner is talking to me saying he'll lower it to 5200. I'll get it inspected and all, and make a decision soon but I thought I'd like your guys input anyways
For an 18-19 year old kid, is a Skyline GTS-4 too expensive? And by that I mean the repairs and maintenance? Too inconvenient? Because that's all I'm hearing so far... but I really love that car. Seems like he hasn't done too much work to it
If you don't know anything about the RB platform or how maintenance on a turbocharged vehicle is, I'd not be stepping balls deep into an older Skyline.

I plan to maintain the car as well as I can, and take very good care of it, I'll do my research on the platform and figure out all that. I'm just wondering whether the cost of the maintenace for such a car is worth it for a student who is 18-19, who only works in the summers. Whether I'll even be able to afford maintaining it to the standards it should meet. I don't want it sitting in my garage because I can't afford to fix it or something stupid.

Maintaining that car can't be cheap. It has an engine that was only used in Skylines, it's turbocharged, and it's just one of those cars that's more about being fast than reliable.
I wouldn't do it, especially if your only income is what you get during the summer.

Well... It,ll be like when i purchased my supra. I learned through mistakes and money, met some amazong friends throughtat story and ended up changin engine, blowing it and the trans and then doing a swap by myself. Thats all in a matter of two years-ish. Id say go for it but dont half ass it, do a ton of research and go full diy mode even if it is in a driveway
Sent from my phone, on the crapper
I get to drive a gas golf cart around all day today!!!

Huge difference between an MK3 Supra and an R32 Skyline. RB engines don't grow on trees here in the Americas. Nor do R32 Skylines. You're not going to go to a pick-and-pull and get some body panels or steering knuckles for it, so you have to take that into consideration when using it as a DD -- if you fuck it up, it's going to be down for days to weeks depending on how long it takes to find parts. You also can't just walk into Autozone and get tidbits for it, since nothing in the US came with an RB engine. Even something as trivial as a valve cover gasket or spark plugs will have to be ordered.
It's not a beginner's car. It's something an S13/S14 guy would step up to. And I'd have a backup car just in case I needed it, because you're bound to need it eventually.
I really just wouldn't recommend an R32 as a DD. But it is the closest-to-DD Skyline of the R32 to R34 series. Mainly because they are cheapest to purchase, and with decent money can be super fast. But if you're a kid with a summer job wanting something cool, it's really hard to say yes to it. You really need to think about what it's going to cost in the long run. What if the transmission drops? What if you pop a probably-still-22-year-old turbo? Where are you going to purchase your routine maintenance goods? Where are you going to purchase your replacement goods when something goes awry?
If you really want it, I can't tell you no. But please take all of that into consideration. Get it if you really want it, but BE PREPARED. Keep resources for parts at your disposal. Make sure you can order things when you need them and that they will reliably get here. And be prepared to do all the work yourself as no shop will likely want to work on it, and if you take it to a shop I'll drive up to Canada and punch you in the dick.
Good luck.

this specific combination of words is both hilarious and true
I'm a firm believer that if you get a car like a R32 you need to be fully dedicated to putting money and your own time and effort into it
Is a 92 Toyota supra 1jz-gte a reliable car as a DD? You guys bring up a good point about more rare cars that may be expensive to maintain, and since I'm a student I can't really afford high maintenance costs all the time.
Psygo logic:
These cars look the same

They're visually similar but I can see quite a bit of differences as I go back and forth between the photos.
