here if you have a sidewalk in front of your house (95% of houses do) you are required to shovel if a millimeter of snow falls or you'll get fined
here if you have a sidewalk in front of your house (95% of houses do) you are required to shovel if a millimeter of snow falls or you'll get fined
here if you have a sidewalk in front of your house it will be plowed by the time you wake up
here if you have a sidewalk in front of your house it hasn't snowed here in ~25 years anyway so people will panic and everyone will crash if there's a quarter inch of snow
Here we don't have sidewalks, so the guys with pickup trucks just come by with their snowplows and plow the roads.
Kinda the same thing here, no house has a sidewalk, and all the sidewalks have been cleaned apparently. We're a little more country, though, we don't have pickups plowing the roads, we have tractors
small wheel loaders are the most popular here, tractors for larger sidewalks (and urban roads), trucks for larger roads [editline]11th February 2013[/editline]
got my car back first thing I ended up doing was breaking traction on a turn because it's the first time I've been able to actually put my fucking foot into it on a turn in ages. driving the frontier was cool but I'll take MUH 4BANGER and run with it
bullet proof r154? bullet proof r154! Decided to skip on the new 3-4 heavy duty shift fork. It came out recently (4 months ago) and i,ve never heard of someone breaking/bending the 3-4th fork on a R154. now I just need to drop the trans again... sigh...
for my city, they give you a reasonable amount of time to clear your sidewalk. If you fail to clear it within that time, they city will do it for you, but will charge a shit ton.
My information is limited on firebirds as far as the models before 1993 go but after that the drivetrain is fairly interchangeable between the same year camaros I believe. The 3.8 V6 models get fairly good mileage and are a good plate form for mods, the cars handle quite well stock and don't go for too much. This information applies to both cars. Depending on your budget the LT1 cars arnt too bad either, I forget the mileage numbers but they arnt bad, I know the LS1 models (fairly expensive, aluminum engine and heads) get 17 city and 22 highway which is pretty good for a 300-350 hp motor. Don't bother with the 3.4 V6 models, I think they are a different engine from the 3.8 and are garbage. The 3.8 puts out around 200 hp which isn't bad and mods are easy to come by but it gets hard after the 275 mark I think. Sitting in my 2000 camaro the way they vehicles are is strange at first, like riding a skate board but as far as driver and passenger space goes its roomy, forget about the back passengers though. If you can find a 93-2002 camaro or firebird for cheap I would recommend it from personal experience.
It's not hard to go above 275bhp in a 3800, turbo/cam/intercool the fuck out of it and you'll be in the 400-500 in no time. 275bhp would probably be staying N/A (hah) with a HV3, Cam, Long tubes, Intake & Tune, port work. You'll pay less and make more power to go with a smaller turbo kit. And stay away from the god awful 3400.
None of the Firebirds I am looking at have the 3.8.. The most powerful one is the '92 at 170hp and it's probably above my budget: [t]http://213.132.112.104/images_full/70/7005712042.jpg[/t] My budget absolute maximum being at about 3911,8 USD, using googles current exchange. After some detective work using streetview and a site for looking up people I got the plate number for this: [t]http://213.132.112.104/images_full/40/4036451035.jpg[/t] Which is at ~146 HP and seems to be in great condition. I've asked about what engine is in it but I guess it's bound be the allegedly god awful 3.4 if any. What is so god awful? Is it prone to breaking, or are you mostly complaining about power?
and then Bradley became an aftermarket ebrake manufacturer, specializing in aerospace aluminum machining

All this car jargon, would you mind being a bit more specific? I guess you mean the engine simply tends to break, but it could mean something else. English isn't my first language.. Since this is one of the more likely purchases I am looking at right now, I'd like to know more specifically what kind of hell I might be getting myself into.
I kinda bought a new car.... Again...
Uh... Ew, is that the 2.8? Also is that rust I see near the top of the windshield?
Oh boy... here we go
Writing up an Excel sheet of everything we'll need to rebuild the GTO, including everything we've talked about (roll cage, engine, transmission, bucket seats, coilover suspension kits, etc.) Going to hand it to my step-dad and ask him: "You sure you still want to go out and buy that Audi A8?"
Uh... Ew, is that the 2.8? Also is that rust I see near the top of the windshield?
Thats something called a rust patch for cars that have rusted a lot you need to use patches to cure their adiction if you don't they may eventually force you to buy them more expensive rust like: John Player Rusts or Silk Rusts. [editline]12th February 2013[/editline] oh the top of the windshield? I thought you were talking about the sticker near the bottom because its kinda brownish. haha my bad [editline]12th February 2013[/editline] Rust addiction is a serious problem with older cars they thought it was "cool" in their youth

Only thing logical I can come up with is are vehicles were in a snow,sand or hail storm and that part of the paint was chipped off leading to exposure to rust. Tell him to go buy a S5! Why did I just do this as a new post ;_;

My dad wants to buy a 7 series BMW or a Mercedes to park next to his new Lawyer Girlfriends Escalade. :| Drove my truck to work today for the first time in...2 months?...I'm somewhat relieved about my transmission, as it's only first gear that's shifting hard so It's not the whole transmission that's fucked. Probably just gonna end up having a shop look at it anyways though, as soon as I'm able to take a day off work.
Anyone have experience with MSD Coils? Thinking of buying a Blaster 2 because my 24 year old bosch coil seems to have had enough. I traced my bad idle down to that because the coil resistances are out of spec (ded)

But that probably doesn't apply to volvo's one, so gonna let the room for others to blabber their feels onto this situation of situation.

I need a new clutch I can hear it and feel it slipping in first and second gear I wanted to get headers and I don't really want to change a clutch.
Aint too bad on the 360, unbolt trans crossmember and slide it back, replace the shit and slide it back into place. Dont drop your engine on your head or some shit though.
