Costs me 180$/month to insure both GTP, one is insured everything, the other is third party. Insurance don't care at all about them being
I'm paying about $120 a month on my mustang, but I can only have liability on it because it is so old. just noticed it is my 1,000th post yeah never thought I would make it
My insurance is pricey due to my age and history, I have two infractions and one at-fault accident (rolling my beamer) on record, so insurance is always expensive. I've been clean these past 7 months, so pretty soon the rates should drop.

So my brother's (previously mine) Malib- I mean Cutlass broke down today. He was driving up a hill and it just died. Because calling the gas gauge on that car functional would be stretching the truth, he figured he'd run out of gas. He called someone he knew and they put a bigass tank's worth of gas in the car. He started the car and started heading up the hill again and it sputtered out and stalled. After that he couldn't get it started, so he had to get it towed to a mechanic's shop. The mechanic hasn't had a chance to look at it yet, but I'm 90% certain it's the fuel pump. IIRC, the fuel pump used to buzz all the time when I drove it. As much as I feel bad for him, it's kinda funny. This car was a well-maintained old-man's car, and so far it's had a tie rod, control arm, transmission mount, window motor, and window switch replaced, plus whatever this ends up being. That's gotta be nearly 2k in repairs. I bought a rusty old Toyota that's nearly 20 years older and the only mechanical things I've had to fix were the thermostat (which is cheap as shit) and the LF caliper (that was a lot of hair-pulling, but cheap too). [sp]Of course, that doesn't factor in the 20 dollar thermostat housing my friend broke, but that wasn't really the car's fault... [/sp] [sp] ...and that doesn't factor in the tires, but tires just fucking hate me[/sp]

Just a bit of curb rash, it'll buff right out. [editline]13th February 2013[/editline]
lol
The new Corvette is so sexy. I'm glad they finally moved away from the looooooooong bodystyle of the earlier corvettes. Don't get me wrong, they look great, but it looks much better slightly shortened.
Firstly, I completely disagree. Secondly, I'm almost certain it's the longest Corvette yet, just taller and fatter so it looks like a bloated Ferrari/Camaro stillbirth.
I kind of want to sneak a Koureisha mark sticker onto my dad's nissan
Had a car come in today, a 2007 GMC Yukon. Nothing special, right? I thought so too until I looked at the mileage. 430k miles. This guy drove the equivalent of driving from the west coast of the usa to the east coast 143 times over 6 years. How people can drive so much, I don't know Not only that, but the car was in pretty much pristine condition; good paint, no damage to the body/interior, and new tires. Some people trash their cars before they get to 100k miles, this motherfucker keeps his car in good condition at 400+K miles. People like him make me happy
So..uh. Those are some big turbos. fucking media tags
man I need me a C4 'vette
That poor vette. :( It did look pretty cool when they took the gas tank off though.
So after 5 days of test driving, evaluating, and nitpicking over 30 cars, I found the car I want. And I'm honestly surprised as to my choice. '01 Mustang GT Roush Stage 3. She's big, black, beautiful, and the sound of that supercharged v8 raises the hair on my neck. 47k on the odo and she runs beautifully. I'll be finishing up financing later this week, probably Friday. These make 360 at the crank and roughly 340-350 at the wheels. The Roush stage 3 includes an awesome bodykit with side pipes, full suspension including bilsteins, lowering springs, a 33mm front sway bar, and chassis stiffening. 10 inch wide rims in the rear, 9 inch in the front. 6 pounds of boost cranks out the extra 100 horse from the 4.6l v8. Goddam, I sound like a car salesman. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_35701.JPG[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_35711.JPG[/t]
god damn it

My guitar teacher picked me up last night (a couple of his students couldn't make it and he wanted to have my class a little earlier so he could go home), and I jokingly said his car was shit because (it's a 5-series, but it's got an auto), and then he started talking about how it is a BMW and it's got 189 HP, etc. Then we did some dorifuto on the snowy and icy roads, which was awesome. Then we jammed, which was about just as awesome.

I'm test driving a 1985 12a RX7 today! It's an amazing deal, the guy selling it bought it 5 years ago during a mid life crisis and spent around 12,000 restoring it. The paint is new, the interior is new, the engine has been cleaned, the carbs rebuilt, the only mechanical problem is that the choke doesn't stay out by itself. He posted it for $4,500 but he said he'd come down to $3,500 for me. I love rotaries and the fact that I grew up with my Dad's FB is kinda neat, kinda like the idea of having an RX7 in the family again. Guy works for the school and works in my major so I know he's not screwing with me. He said when he bought it it was because he had one in the 80's and he wanted his car back, he said he's over it now and just wants to unload it since he doesn't drive it much. Here's the listing, I've seen it in person and it really is in excellent shape. http://statesboro.craigslist.org/cto/3574870929.html

Rode in my friends Volvo 740 today, we went to get his trailer. Got down to where they've got it, a bit of snow on the ground (2-3 decimetres maybe) and it was a bit hilly, not steep at all really. Anyway, we got the trailer by pure luck, but then when we were leaving we got stuck over and over again because the car has HORRIBLE traction and just spins its rear tires like no tomorrow. I had to sit on the boot to get some weight on the rear wheels. Worked pretty good since I weigh 117kg. We still couldn't get up the hill, even with speed. Got out a big bucket of gravel and put it all over the tracks. Finally got up. Oh then we went dorifutuing in my kadett.
Imagine if it wouldn't have a locked diff
