where are you from?
those cars change price depending on where you're from pretty heavily.
Fun is subjective, but what kind of swaps are even possible with a z31? Like I said I'm not trying to make a drag car or anything, just a nice car to cruise in. Only thing to drive around on in my area is lonngggggg straight roads
[editline]18th February 2013[/editline]
Calling the guy for the Z31 tomorrow, I called my father and he said I could borrow his truck and trailer if I go through with it.
RB20, apparently they came stock like that in JDM land

Easiest, less maintenance worry SR20. 4cyl but its awesome.
Had my first almost accident today. Was driving onto a highway, was going to merge into traffic. Looked in my left mirror, saw a single light, assumed it was in the other lane, and merged. A couple seconds pass, and bam! Suddenly there's a blue MB Vito right in front of me, just 20-30cm from the front of my car. Was kinda scary, and it certainly reminded me to check my blind-spots before I merge. Kind of in my defense, though, I just started driving on highways on Saturday/Sunday, since we don't have them back home. (and I'm still learning to drive)
I would buy that. I like your taste in cars.
Also, wow, 85 hp from a 3.3 I6? That would be interesting to drive, to say the least.
[editline]18th February 2013[/editline]
Nevermind I looked it up.
It uses the 200 cu thriftpower i6, and it makes 105 hp.
The 170 Special Six made 105 horsepower, but the 200 did not.
This is 1979, keep in mind.
It only took 22 days for RHDJapan to ship my stuff
With a bit of luck it will arrive before I die of age
assumed it was in the other lane, and merged.
Never assume, always know
What do you guys think about the corolla AE86 GTS/ hachi roku? Is 3900 an ok price for a super clean one? I was going to offer the guy 3200 because that's all i have lol. I've heard the 4age is a bit underpowered, do people ever boost them?
that's a good price if it's a legit GTS, make sure the VIN says AE88 instead of AE86 and there's no rust. any pics?
they're pretty slow, in mine I have to floor it everywhere but they're still fun. People usually keep them N/A, turbo 4AGEs aren't too common but they do exist. Most start with the 4AGZE since it comes with stronger internals and just replace the supercharger with a T25 or something.
haha I love these:

My car got towed away. Stayed at a friend's house overnight after getting back late from the auto show, and found out next morning you're not allowed to park in the lot between 2am-5am. Ok, so I parked illegally, so my car got towed away, which is understandable and my fault. So I went to the towing company's lot to pick up the car, and after I picked up the car (and $175 later) I snapped a few pics of the car just to compare and to make sure nothing was damaged, and went on my way.
5 minutes after I left the lot, I get a phone call from an unknown number, turned out to be the towing company.
"hello?"
"sir, do you know what fraud is?"
"what?"
"do you know what fraud means?"
"yes I do?"
"I'm warning you sir, I saw you take pictures of your bumper outside and if you post any pictures online and say that [x] towing company did this, then I will have you arrested for fraud. I'm warning you."
*click*
Confused, I went back to clear up any misunderstandings, I walk in and ask if anyone called me, and the same woman tells me that she saw me take pictures of my car outside and tells me again that she'll have me arrested if I post anything about [x] towing company damaging my bumper and that she has done it before, followed by "Leave."
wtf. How do companies like this stay in business. Ruined my day.
[editline]wef[/editline]
also in the lobby they have a sign that says something along the lines of "don't ask why your car was towed, just pay", and another one that says "cash only, no change given"
wat

Stupid wikipedia misaligned the details from the article. My bad.

Its not fraud if they did it. I'd sue them if they damaged my vehicle.
[editline]18th February 2013[/editline]
and "cash only" means somethings up.

yeah, I should've said something, but I was just so dumbfounded that a business was calling up a customer talking like this that I was speechless
thanks for the reply though. feels good to vent a bit.

car's fine by the way. I just wanted to make sure because I have shots of my car at home for comparison.
I would have gone straight to the local police dept and fill a phone harassement complaint about that shitty towing compagny.

I can't believe I haven't thought of that. I actually recorded the conversation between me and her at the company after she called me up because I figured she'd say something similar
[editline]wef[/editline]
yo areolop, is this something I can do at the local police station?
that's not even fraud, what
She was probably afraid that he was taking pictures of some damage he already had, and was gonna blame it on them.
She was probably afraid that he was taking pictures of some damage he already had, and was gonna blame it on them.
The worst possible way to address that is be a complete bitch about it though, it's not hard to say "We just want to make sure you aren't going to try to blame that damage on us, it was there before we towed it"
alright, what's the name of the compagny? I'll go around the web and ruin their rep.
because: internet justice
heh.
Yeah it is. And if they are really that worried about it, they could go around the car and take pictures of whatever damage there already is on it, so that they too have some proof.

Nothing criminal. I would alert the BBB though
I got towed and alerted the BBB but the BBB was like yeah they're assholes and they don't respond to our inquiries ever sucks :(
also
how the fuck do you use seafoam
i can't figure it out for the life of me
1/3 in the gas ok
1/3 in the oil ok
1/3 in the pcv / vacuum WTF WHERE IS THAT
im not good at wrenching
i usually break things
help
i need to fix my rough idle
you don't: it's snakeoil.
instead, you should try some proper diagnostic. Have you checked the plug, is there a vacuum leak, clean yo maf.
Pull a vacuum line(I.E. large rubber hose going to your brake booster) and let it suck it up slowly, trying not to stall it until you get enough in. Don't think it does much, other than making a smoke show.
