is a SEAT a chair, or is it a seat
seat (st)
n.
1. Something, such as a chair or bench, that may be sat on.
ah it is
I bet the devs are playing the shit out of it every day though :v:
This is why I could never be a game developer
If you'd read it twice, I'm pretty sure you'd get it
I did read it twice. When I saw what I thought was you claiming the Beetle was Norwegian, I had to take a second look to make sure that's what I had just read. What I got out of it was "It's funny because the Beetle is a Norwegian car, and that Norwegian in the picture owns one."
Am I really a fucking retarded racist for misinterpreting that?
[sp]we also need to have the talk about showing up to work, you dirty whore[/sp]
Ok Mr.Bossman... Have anything to say about our shitty ass equipment and your failure to properly staff people?
'naw shit, I was a bit tired and when he said "the beetle is norwegian", my brain made this pop sound and I had absolutely no idea what was going on. I was genuinely not trying to be a dick, I just misunderstood all of the shit because I was tired. :v: not trying to hang anyone out here, remember, we are all somewhat chair-bros.
[editline]edit[/editline]
and about chairs, I might just have found someone who can do leather upholstery for my benz!
I totally understand brah! Not trying to seem like I'm all pissed off or anything, just kind of surprised that people are so buttfrustrated over spelling/grammar errors from someone who doesn't speak English as their first langauge (Not saying you are, as you've come and explained yourself, obv.)
Is the upholstery bad in your benz? I don't remember any interior pics. I'm a bit fuzzy on it.

A seat is a chair, a chair is not a seat though. A chair isn't fixed (bolted down), a seat is. This has been gone over before and people still incorrectly say chair.
Well, unless they actually drive around without their seats bolted to the floor. If that's the case, good on you. You've got more balls than I do.

The upholstery is absolutely horrible in my Benz atm. Let me see if I have some pictures of that. Already sent some off to the upholstery guy, however I don't think I have those here.

Probably going to be driving 200 miles to Daytona this weekend, my dad is going through his midlife crisis and wants to buy a Honda S2000 :v:

He should buy a proper midlife crisis car then.
He should buy a Porsche.
This might be a dumb question, but why aren't V4 engines used really at all? Also, what's the difference between a V4 and an I4, or a V6 and an I6?
v4 means the cylinders are placed in a v shape, they take up less space than i4 engines. I4 engines are where the cylinders are all in a line, inline engines give more power and have better fuel consumption than v-engines

Small question, is there anything place in America that does something like this?

He thought about it, but Boxsters aren't terribly reliable, are more expensive to buy, and more expensive to maintain.
He's basically alternated between wanting an Alfa Spider, Porsche Boxster, and a S2000, but he knows the S2000 is the wisest choice because Honda.
I told him he should go the full midlife crisis route and buy a limited edition Corvette, but the only Corvette he likes is the C2. :v:

A V-configured engine has two (in the case of V4(which is used, though not often for automotive application(my father's yamaha outboard motor for his boat is a V4))) cylinders on either side, hence a V-designation. Were it a V6, it'd have three on either side, and were it a V8 there would be four. An inline engine has all of the cylinders in a straight line, hence 'straight four' or 'straight six'.
Inline fours and sixes are used quite often, though, and are also (generally) pretty great engines! V6s are nice as well.

The closest thing I could think of (cheap-ass cars, anyone can enter) would be the 24 Hours of LeMons, or ChumpCar.

Because unbalanced?
AFAIK anyways.

That doesn't sound very midlife crisis.

The nice thing about Inline 4 engines is even some of the largish ones can be flipped sideways in the engine compartments, allowing for a much larger cabin. That's why most small and economy cars use them. Inline 6 and V6 engines are used pretty interchangeably, for gasoline engines the inline 6's tend to be smaller and the V6's tend to be larger and more powerful. With diesels though, semi trucks and Ram's use inline six engines( but semi's have huge engine bays and in the Ram, you can tell where the cabin is shaped around the engine). It's mostly about the car it has to be put in. You can save a lot of space with a sideways I4, but once you get to six cylinders you can go either way. An inline 8 engine would just be obscenely long to put in a passenger car.
Also note that there is a massive difference between boxers 4, flat 4 and V4.
I know there will be a shit storm about this but I don't have the time to explain (PhD yaw!)

also transversely mounted engines are usually only for FWD cars
V engines are only for smoothness really. They offer more torque in some applications as well but generally not enough to justify the layout on smaller engines (and most larger engines too, unless there are too many cylinders to fit in the bonnet)
Yeah my dad's V8 truck idles much more smoothly than my I4.
I mean that in my car vibrates much more noticeably stopped at a light than my dad's truck.
The world just keeps getting smaller. So yeah, remember that 250 CE I nearly bought? This exact one the white one, actually,
[t]http://i.imgur.com/hVqpa.jpg[/t]
so here's the funny thing, the guy who sold me the blue 280 SE just bought the white 250 CE. We took a spin by the guy who owned the white 250 CE (as we had to lend their summer-house), so the guy obviously knew I owned the 280 SE. The guy who sold me the blue 280 SE went "well, I'm a bit sad that I've sold my old benz, a blue 280 SE" and that's when the 250's owner went "wait what".
going to send the previous owner of my car a text in a moment saying "congratulations with helmut junior", then a picture I took of the 250 CE when I looked at it. :v:

fuck i dunno

Fucking insurance companies. I tell them I'm a student, they ignore the group policy my school has. My dad finds out about the group rate through my school after 2 minutes on Google, so I had to call them back, cancel the policy I'd just fucking gotten 10 minutes before, and get a whole new policy set up. I'm pissed because they knew what school I belonged to, but didn't give me the group rate, which saved me $400, until I called back, and I also kinda felt stupid telling them that I missed the group rate, and for not asking about it a second time to double check, but was pissed at them trying to rip me off.
Either way, $2036/year is the cheapest quote yet that I've gotten for that little 250 bike, a hell of a lot better than the $2471 I was going to be getting, and thanks to their payment structure, for the rest of this year I'm only paying $51.
