Rally tyte time, treequinox it.
Ehhh if I buy another one its primary use will be a parts car.
The whole back end of it is shot, the convertible top METAL is missing a few important area's, all of the seals for the doors and stuff are all bad...
I could continue on with this but I wont, It's life will be served as a parted out vehicle. On the bright side it has a very nice fender(s).... Might just chop the whole front of it off and make a dresser out of it. Or chop of the front do some bumper-less skillz to it and hang it up on the outside of the shop to mark the sign of my dominance.
Ohhh the possibility's.

OHHHH I could totally make it a pull behind trailer for my Audi :v:
Save the front end. Buy a rabbit. Put the real golf front end on it.

That's a sweet Cherokee in the background
Managed 27.99 miles per gallon on the interstate in my Avalon, going to and from Orlando last weekend. Total trip was around ~220 miles. My old 2 liter Ford would have probably only done 25 or 26. :v:
The S2000 did about 25 MPG

If I could afford to fill it, I'd still drive my Cherokee now :v:
Needs alot of repairs, but with a new radiator it will at least work
Got some new battery Terminals..
Shit wasn't cheap but fuck it, not to sound like a dick or yeah, but when i want to build a car i only want to use the best stuff i can afford...

Around 40$ each
ALL the cables in the battery side are being wrapped in with black fabric tape, so it looks neat, and not alle wierd colors.

Jap's AP2 averages about 25mpg as well when on the highway mostly.
I think that's a bit outrageous for a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder, really. For the power I guess it's alright, but it sure seems low to me. Fellow Facepuncher Zags has the black C5 and highway mileage averages to around 30-32. And this is a 5.7 liter LS1 pushing 350hp.

Doesn't the S2000 sit pretty high in the RPM's even in 6th gear? I remember someone saying that sat at around 4k or something that seemed pretty crazy for doing 60-70.
Although a B16/ITR tranny does pretty much the same from what I remember and the GSR sits at 3k at 60 and I know personally that the GSR tranny still gets at least fairly decent gas mileage compared to an LS on a B18B.

I think it's the gearing. When I was bumbling along at 70mph in my Avalon, I was only doing 2250rpm in 4th gear. The S2000 was hovering around 4000rpm in 6th gear.

It seems a bit high considering 200k miles but everything else pretty much fits what I'm looking for and theres a rebuilt tranny+timing belt involved. Rust doesn't seem that bad for a 200k mile car in ohio either though I'll obviously have to look under the car to see if it's not eating at the frame. Still I probably could talk it down to at least 2800-3000
Just don't want to overpay if I don't need to. Looking mostly for fuel efficent and reliable (so I don't have to spend 1000-2000 within the first two years of owning it fixing something)[/QUOTE]
Checked it out, and it drives like it's brand new without any real rust anywhere on it or under it (which blows my mind because I don't know how thats possible in Ohio with all the salt we pour on the roads). Shifts suuuuuper smooth, suspension is good, it has cruise, engine sounds fine, interior is very clean, no noises when turning or any weird feeling at all, etc. It's very clear every owner this car has had has taken really good care of it.
Managed to talk him down to around 2700 which I feel semi-comfortable with. Still not buying it yet, but told him I'm def intrerested at that price and will let him know.
Still don't like the 200k but considering he's had almost all the major stuff replaced in the past 10-20k miles it doesn't worry me as much (and it drives like it has zero problems with it in the main problem areas you'd expect to have to replace at around 200k). Clutch, timing belt, transmission, etc.
Also if I get it, do wiring harnesses on stereos for an accord work for a civic? I have an old stereo head unit from my old accord (89) that I'd like to install into it if I end up getting it

Jap's AP2 sits at 3.5k at 65 which is usual for a four cylinder. My Toyota sits about 3k and it's got the "long geared" W55. The W58 would be higher than that.
Jap's GSR swapped CRX Si sat at 4k at 65 and it got ~29mpg.
The S2000 has 6 gears. It should utilize them properly. That's just what I'm annoyed with is all.

This was at work, the fender cover probably costs more than most of our cars.
What was it in for? Normal service or carbon build up removal?

Probably just regular service, I didn't ask though.
Went to my other job at the airport, found this parked out front.
